If your Chrome default search engine keeps changing back to Yahoo search, it could be a sign of a security issue on your computer, Chromebook, or mac. The steps in this tutorial will first help you identify any Chrome extensions or Chrome apps that might be malicious or unwanted and remove them from your Google Chrome browser. After that, we use Chrome to scan your PC for malware or viruses. Finally we run Windows Defender to do a full virus scan of your computer.
Follow the steps below to delete an extension or app from Chrome:
1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
2. Open the Chrome settings by first selecting the 3 dots in the top right of Chrome and then selecting More Tools in the menu.
3. Once in More Tools, select Extensions.
4. You will now see all the extensions and apps installed to your Google Chrome browser. Find the extension or app you want to uninstall and select Remove.
Follow the steps below to scan your computer for a virus with Google Chrome:
1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
2. Open the Chrome settings by first selecting the 3 dots in the top right of Chrome and then selecting Settings in the menu.
3. In the left sidebar of the Chrome settings, select Advanced and then Reset and clear up.
4. Once on Reset and clean up, select Clean up computer.
5. To start the Google Chrome virus scan, select Find.
6. Google Chrome will now check your system for any harm applications.

Loại bỏ Yahoo search trên Google Chrome cần thực hiện nếu như bạn là tín đồ của Google Search (google.com hoặc google.com.vn). Chrome là sản phẩm của Google, loại bỏ Yahoo Search khỏi Chrome để trình duyệt web này giữ được tình trạng ban đầu.

Bên ngoài trình duyệt Chrome
Trên thanh địa chỉ (Address bar) của Chrome thể hiện như hình bên dưới, hoặc ngắn gọn hơn chỉ hiển thị biểu tượng Yahoo.
Bên trong trình duyệt Chrome
Để kiểm tra lưu trữ trong trình duyệt Chrome, bạn thực hiện một trong hai cách sau:
Cách 1: Gõ lệnh chrome://settings/searchEngines trong trình duyệt Chrome.
Cách 2: Vào Tuỳ chỉnh và điều khiển (nút ba chấm dọc góc trên phải) \\ Cài đặt \\ Công cụ tìm kiếm \\ Quản lý công cụ tìm kiếm.
Cách loại bỏ Yahoo Search trên Google Chrome
Bạn thực hiện theo các bước sau:
Bước 1: Cài đặt \\ Đặt tại và dọn dẹp =\\Dọn dẹp máy tính =\\Tìm.
Bước 2: Cài đặt =\\Nâng cao =\\Đặt lại và dọn dẹp =\\Khôi phục cài đặt về mặc định ban đầu =\\Đặt lại các tuỳ chọn cài đặt.
Chú ý: Hai bước này mất khoảng 5 đến 10 tuỳ theo Google Chrome của bạn chứa dữ liệu nhiều hay ít.
Bước 3: Cài đặt =\\Công cụ tìm kiếm =\\Quản lý công cụ tìm kiếm
.
Tại bước này bạn giữ lại dòng Google.com, xoá những dòng còn lại (xoá được dòng Yahoo Search rồi đó).

Có lẽ trình duyệt Chrome là trình duyệt phổ biến nhất tại Việt Nam ở thời điểm hiện tại. Việc làm hiển thị nút trang chủ trên thanh công cụ Google Chrome khá đơn giản. Các bước thực hiện như sau:
✦ Chọn cài đặt từ menu đổ xuống
✦ Tìm đến box “Hình thức”
