เกลือสินเธาว์ มรดกจากผืนดิน บ้านหนองเทา ต.นาแก อ.คำเขื่อนแก้ว จ.ยโสธร : ซีรีส์วิถีคน (10 ส.ค. 63)

\”เกลือสินเธาว์\” เป็นมรดกจากผืนดิน ที่ประชาชนชาวบ้านหนองเทา ต.นาแก อ.คำเขื่อนแก้ว จ.ยโสธร สามารถเก็บเกี่ยวได้ตามกำลังความสามารถ เป็นแหล่งสร้างเงินสร้างรายได้เสริมให้กับครอบครัว ให้กับผู้คนในชุมชนมายาวนานนับ 100 ปี บ่อเกลือหนองศาลามีเนื้อที่กว่า 63 ไร่ อยู่ห่างจากหมู่บ้านประมาณ 1 กิโลเมตร หลังจากฤดูทำนาข้าวแล้วเสร็จ ระหว่างเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ ปลายเดือนเมษายน ชาวบ้านบ้านหนองเทาประมาณ 20 ครอบครัว จะไปรวมตัวกันที่บ่อเกลือแห่งนี้เพื่อต้มเกลือ โดยใช้ภูมิปัญญาชาวบ้าน และอุปกรณ์แบบโบราณที่ได้รับการถ่ายทอดมารุ่นต่อรุ่น \”เจริญ หนองเทา\” ผู้ใหญ่บ้านหมู่ที่ 4 บ้านหนองเทา กล่าวว่าชาวบ้านที่นี่ใช้อุปกรณ์ในการต้มเกลือแบบโบราณ สามารถทำเองได้ และทำขึ้นเองในชุมชน ไม่ว่าจะเป็น \”ฮาง\” หรือ รางเกรอะน้ำเกลือ มีลักษณะคล้ายเรือความยาวประมาณ 2 4 เมตร ทำจากไม้ ที่ตั้งกระจายอยู่ทั่วบ่อเกลือ คนที่ขยันจะมีรายได้จากการขายเกลือนับ 10,000 บาท
แม่ตุ๊ บัวกัน มุ่งงาม อายุ 62 ปี ผู้ผูกพันกับการต้มเกลือมาตั้งแต่อายุ 12 ปี มีความเชี่ยวชาญในการต้มเกลือให้ได้ปริมาณมากบอกว่า การต้มเกลือตามวิถีของคนที่นี่ ไม่ได้มีอุปกรณ์ที่ทันสมัย ไม่ต้องซื้อหา แม้แต่การวัดความเค็มของน้ำเกลือ ก็ใช้ \”หนามจาง\” ต้นไม้ประจำถิ่นที่อยู่ในบ่อเกลือมาวัดด้วยวิธีการง่าย ๆ เพียงนำหนามจางไปวางลงในน้ำเกลือที่ได้จากการหมักขี้ทาไว้ 1 คืน หากหนามจางลอย แสดงว่าความเค็มพอเหมาะที่จะนำไปต้มเกลือได้ และหากจะต้มน้ำให้ได้เกลือในปริมาณที่มาก ต้องรู้จักการเร่งไฟ และราไฟในเวลาที่เหมาะสม ซึ่งเคล็ดลับนี้แม่ตุ๊บอกว่า เป็นภูมิปัญญาที่ถ่ายทอดให้กับคนรุ่นใหม่ เพื่อให้วิถีการต้มเกลือยังคงอยู่คู่กับชาวบ้านหนองเทาต่อไป
วิถีการต้มเกลือแบบโบราณของคนบ้านหนองเทา จะยังไม่สูญหายไปไหน เพราะนี่คือวิถีชีวิต และเพราะคนบ้านหนองเทาไม่นิยมใช้เกลือไอโอดีนที่จำหน่ายตามท้องตลาดมาหมักทำปลาร้า ด้วยเห็นว่าทำให้ปลาร้าเน่าเสีย จึงนิยมใช้เฉพาะเกลือสินเธาว์ที่ผลิตแบบดั้งเดิมมาหมักทำปลาร้า จึงจะทำให้ไม่เน่าเสียและมีรสชาติอร่อย เกลือสินเธาว์จึงยังเป็นที่ต้องการอยู่มาก
