Will Alistair agree to marry Anora even if he is not hardened?
I am trying to get Alistair and Anora to marry each other and let Loghain live at the landsmeet. So before the landsmeet began, I talked to Alistair and he agreed to marry Anora. Anora likewise agreed to marry Alistair.
However, when push comes to shove, he backs out after I say that I want to induct Loghain into the Gray Wardens, no matter what I do.
The trouble is, I don’t remember if I hardened him or not (I played this game a few years ago and stopped playing when my system broke until recently).
So the question is, will he AGREE to marry in the first place if he’s not hardened (going through with the marriage is a separate issue)? All the guides I’ve seen mention that he must be hardened to get the ending, but they don’t mention this question.
Queen Anora (Character)
Overview
Queen Anora is the wife of King Cailan of Ferelden in Dragon Age: Origins. She is the only child of war hero Loghain Mac Tir, and has never been one to stay quietly in the background. It is common knowledge that in the five years Anora and Cailan held the throne together, she was the one wielding the power. She is held in much higher esteem than her husband by the people of Ferelden, nobility and commoners alike, and commands the respect even of foreign nations, having once inspired Empress Celene of Orlais to declare, “Anora of Ferelden is a solitary rose among brambles.”
Despite this reputation and her supposed willingness to assist the Warden in stopping her father, however, Anora ultimately betrays the Warden’s party at the Landsmeet, as her true loyalties lie with Loghain. When the Warden manages to finally settle things in the end, Anora’s fate is determined by a number of factors, including whether or not Loghain is executed, who performed the execution. If Loghain dies at the player’s hand, Anora will become the wife of Alistair as he ascends to become king. However, if Alistair kills him, Anora will refuse to marry him and will be imprisoned. If the player’s Warden is female, she may marry Alistair and become queen in Anora’s place.
Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening
If she was made queen during Origins, Anora will have a small cameo during Awakening. She arrives shortly after Vigil’s Keep has been secured in order to see to the state of the region. She will also release Anders into the warden’s custody, if prompted.
