Candy Dulfer \u0026 David A. Stewart – Lily Was Here
Candy Dulfer was born in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, as the daughter of saxophonist Hans Dulfer. She began playing the drums at the age of five. As a sixyearold she started to play the soprano saxophone. At the age of seven she switched to alto saxophone and later began playing in a local concert band Jeugd Doet Leven (English translation: \”Youth Brings Life\”) in Zuiderwoude.
Dulfer played her first solo on stage with her father’s band De Perikels (\”The Perils\”). At the age of eleven, she made her first recordings for the album I Didn’t Ask (1981) of De Perikels. In 1982, when she was twelve years old, she played as a member of Rosa King’s Ladies Horn section at the North Sea Jazz Festival. According to Dulfer, King encouraged her to become a band leader herself. In 1984, at the age of fourteen, Dulfer started her own band Funky Stuff.

Кэнди Далфер уже с детства приучали к хорошей музыке: отец был теноромсаксофонистом, и именно он привил дочери любовь к джазу, познакомив с творчеством таких метров как Сонни Роллинз и Коулман Хокинс. Столь «правильные» знакомства не прошли даром уже в 12 лет девочка попадает на всемирно известный джазовый фестиваль North Sea Jazz Festival, в 14 создает собственную группу Funky Stuff, а в 18 выступает на разогреве у Мадонны.
В ноябре 1989 года Кэнди Далфер и Дэйв Стюарт написали песню Lily was here — саундтрек к триллерудраме Бена Вербонга «De Kassière» (Нидерланды). Песня возглавила национальный хитпарад «Dutch Top 40» 25 ноября 1989 года и находилась на этой позиции в течение 6ти недель, до 30 декабря 1989 года. Успеха композиция достигла и в других странах — второе место в норвежском чарте Norwegian Singles Chart, 6е место в британском чарте UK Singles Chart. «Я верну́сь» — песня Игоря Талькова (1990) в жанре философской рокбаллады. Получила известность после появления в советском радиоэфире с 1990 года, исполнения в рамках авторской концертной программы Талькова «Суд» (весналето 1991 года) и на фестивале «Песня года» (1991). Часто песня воспринимается как духовное завещание Игоря Талькова.
Написана песня предположительно в 1990 году. Из наиболее ранних известна запись одного из первоначальных вариантов фонограммы данной песни (сильно отличающейся от последующей студийной), исполненной Тальковым на концерте в ГЦКЗ «Россия» 9 сентября 1990 года. Песня получила широкую известность в другой музыкальной обработке, которая в значительной степени была заимствована Тальковым из композиции «Lily Was Here» Дэйва Стюарта и Кэнди Далфер, вышедшей в ноябре 1989 года
