Water Drop Tint Bomb – Holika Holika
Ahh I love it!
Wow, I love this. I don’t like lipsticks because they’re far too cakey and I just can’t do certain textures. Even liquid lipsticks and crayons don’t really do it for me. I’ve been searching for a proper lip tint and I think I finally found it. I wish they had Fig and Cherry in stock, but they didn’t at the time I purchased it so I got Pomegranate and it is sooo pretty. It had a really interesting application texture. Definitely feels wet going on, but dries very quickly without drying out your lips. And I have naturally dry sort of lips, so this is amazing. The shape makes it easy to apply and do different techniques if your into the whole ombre lip thing or a full lip thing or whatever. I probably have dry lips because I tend to lick and bite my lips as a nervous habit, so taste is something that goes into my reviews of lip products and I’m happy to say that for once there is a lip product that does not have a disgustingly bitter taste. In fact, it tastes like pretty much nothing. If you let it sit on your lips for a few minutes and then apply some lip balm or other clear lippie thing to bring some moisture into the equation, it doesn’t slide off onto the other product like other lip tints I’ve tried have. I work 12 hour shifts and it stayed on my lips for 8 hours of sweating, eating, drinking, talking, and nervously biting my lips, as well as reapplying my lips balm. That dude STUCK through some stuff with me and I’ve never had a lip tint that doesn’t fade within an hour. So I really love this product. I highly recommend it.
Cool K-Beauty Find But Has Issues
Was really excited to see K-Beauty (that’s not just Tony Moly Masks) at Ulta, and ordered two. Love the price and colors, but be aware these are not the colors that are shown in the photos, nor is the formula, but close enough I suppose? Really like that the color becomes a little more subtle as the day goes on, but doesn’t disappear. Stays on after eating and drinking well, too. Goes on liquid-y and feels moisturizing, but quickly dries out. Your lips WILL be crusty and have color left on them the next day, which is unfortunate. I’ve bought other HH products via Ulta that seem a bit faulty and it has me wondering if HH is giving Ulta bad batches? Anyways, all in all, I’d say if you’re into K-beauty and on a Budget, these are a neat find. Try it, but know they might have these issues.
Taste is weird 4 2022-06-14 So I bought pomegranate water and I actually really like it. The texture is weird but not bad. My only issue is the taste of this tint. Taste is gross and is a bit bothersome.
Wanted to love but could only love the color. 2 2022-06-10 I got the cherry one. The color is tinted and pretty. Almost like a strawberry color. But it doesn’t last long. Returning. 🙁
Really good stain 5 2022-05-06 This stain is very pretty and buildable. I apply a coat and then wait for it to dry down (which it does quickly) and then apply another coat. Make sure not to touch your lips together before it dries down. It stays on really well and feels great.
Uneven 2 2022-05-05 I have the Orange water shade and it is more pigmented than I thought it would be. It is very difficult for me to get even color that isn’t patchy because it goes on felling like water but dries down right away. I really only can wear it under or on top of a balm or gloss.
