LINE-X Standard Bedliner

The LINE-X Standard Bedliner is sprayed-on and dries to the touch in 3 to 5 seconds. When you pick your truck up, the bedliner will be cured and ready for everyday use. It can be exposed to the elements at this time without any concern. To clean and maintain the bedliner we find that regular cleanings with a good quality All-Purpose Cleaner, vigorous scrubbing with a stiff bristled brush and a pressure washer rinse is the most effective method. Optionally, a water based conditioner such as Adam’s VRT can be applied to the bedliner to restore the natural luster. Petroleum and/or silicon based conditioners can be hazardous and/or cause damage to the bedliner.

LINE-X Premium Bedliner

The LINE-X Premium Bedliner is sprayed-on in two steps. The bedliner material dries to the touch in 3 to 5 seconds and then a second Premium coating is applied to the surface of the bedliner. The Premium coating will be dry to the touch in less than one-hour. It does however require 24-hours to be fully cured. The truck may be used and exposed to the elements right away, we do ask that the tailgate be left open and that nothing is placed on the bedliner for the first 24-hours. This allows the Premium coating to fully cure and bond with the bedliner permanently. To clean and maintain your new Premium bedliner simply use your normal car washing techniques to keep it looking brand new for life.

How to Clean Your Bed Liner

How to Clean Your Bed Liner by Ben [email protected]

A bed liner helps to protect the inner side of your truck bed from damages. However, these liners have a tendency of trapping dirt and debris even when you don’t use them regularly. If you want to keep your vehicle nice and clean, you need to keep your bed liner in an excellent condition and clean it often.

The following is a guide to help you clean your truck bed liner.

Sweep dirt from the liner

Sweep out any dirt or debris using a simple push broom before you spray water on your bed liner to make the cleaning process easier. You can use a small hand brush if you want to get into small spaces and cracks.

Spray the bed liner

At this point, use a water sprayer to clean your liner. A pressure washer can be used to remove dirt from the corners of the bed liner. Use a broom when you are cleaning your liner to drive water and dirt out of the truck or point the water sprayer in a direction such that everything streams out the back of your truck. If you are cleaning your liner outside the truck, you can dump water on the liner to help clean-out the dirt along with the water

Wash the bed Altogether

Once you have dirt washed out, use a cleaner to wash your bed liner. You can use a simple car washing soap or household detergents, but make sure that they don’t contain chemicals that are harmful to your bed-liner. For example, Durabak recommends to use Spic n Span on their bed-liners, and to stay clear of chlorinated cleaners. Apply the soap to the bed liner and use a stiff bristle deck brush to scrub away tough stains from the liners’ surface.

Rinse and dry the liner

Use the pressure washer or water spray to rinse off the liner. Make sure all corners of your bed liner are well taken care of. You will notice that your liner is beginning to shine after the rinsing.

Once everything is washed and clean, place it outside in the sun to dry. You can use a dry cloth to wipe the wet liner as an alternative. Make sure that the bed liner is dry to avoid mildew or other fungal growth on your truck bed.

Conclusion

This guide is a great approach to help you keep your truck bed sparkling clean. However, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to cleaning your bed liner. So definitely reach out to your bed-liner manufacturer, and find out from them the specific product care required to keep your bed looking like new.

How Long Does The Process Of Applying LINE-X Take?

How Long Does The Process Of Applying LINE-X Take?

No one likes to be without their vehicle. It gives them freedom and the ability to get anything from work to the mundane household chores done. You probably don’t like to leave your vehicle at the garage to get serviced and you may be hesitant to drop your truck off to have a bedliner added to it and then not being able to use it for a week while it cures. At LINE-X of South Central Pennsylvania we are here to tell you that your fears are misplaced.

If You Have A Truck You Need A Bedliner!

No matter what you do, you should protect your truck’s bed with a bedliner. Many people choose to utilize a drop-in bedliner because it is easy to install and can be used immediately. That works well for people who cannot be without their truck but a spray-in bedliner from LINE-X offers superior protection and can used that same day.

LINE-X Takes How Long?

The truck will need to be dropped off at a authorized LINE-X dealer like LINE-X of South Central Pennsylvania. A certified LINE-X technician will prepare your truck and will apply the bedliner. The bedliner will dry in about 3 to 5 seconds and in general the whole process takes about 3 hours to complete with an extra hour or two for a custom color liners (not available from LINE-X of South Central Pennsylvania, sorry) and upgrades like UV protection. Your truck will be ready for light duty hauling that day and heavy duty hauling when it cures completely after 24 hours.

How Does LINE-X Stack Up?

Your truck will be ready to go to the grocery store or to the hardware store for light duty hauling as soon as it leaves us at LINE-X of South Central Pennsylvania and you will be taking the superior protection that LINE-X offers with you for as long as you own your truck. A drop-in bedliner may be quicker and less expensive to install but it does not offer the same protection as LINE-X. A DIY bedliner may be less expensive and may advertise that it takes less time to install but then prep time is not included in that time. It takes longer to dry (some with an extra coat needed after it dries) and it takes the same amount of time to fully cure if not longer.

Having your truck down for a day to give it a lifetime of protection is worth it, don’t you think? Considering that alternatives present no clear advantage in time used or protection why not go with the best? Go with LINE-X!

About LINE-X of South Central Pennsylvania
