How to backup your Windows Registry and Restore your Registry from the Backup. Registry Backup, Restore, Import And Export. The steps are rather simple.

How to backup:
Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
Type in ‘regedit’, and then press Enter.
On the File menu, click Export.
Name the file ‘regbackup010120.reg’ or something you” remember.
Select a location where you want to save the Registration Entries (.reg) file.
Click Save.
