Why You Should Disable iCloud Photo Library (\u0026 What to Use Instead)
One of the new features in iOS called iCloud Photo Library is definitely not helping. This feature, while in theory, allows you to backup all of your photos and videos on any of your iOS or MacOS devices to the cloud, takes up precious iCloud storage and adds up really quickly. Most people I know have run out of storage just from iCloud backups (another issue I have with iOS, but I digress) so adding this is almost a surefire way to guarantee you run out of iCloud storage.
There is a better way though. I touched on this in a video a long time ago about backing up your photos and videos but think we need to revisit the concept. You should turn off iCloud Photo Library and instead use another free service like, say, Google Photos which automatically backs up all of your photos and videos in an unlimited quantity for free.

How to view all photos stored in iCloud
In this video I will show you to view all photos stored in iCloud.

First, make Sure that iCloud Photo Library is On. Check that iCloud Photo Library is turned on for all the relevant devices. Also, ensure they are using the same Apple ID account. Accidentally registering with different Apple ID’s results in multiple photo libraries.
You need to turn iCloud Photo Library on for any device that you take, or view, photos on. That means if you want to view your iPad photos on your Apple TV, then iCloud Photo Library must be turned on for both of them.
Once you turn on iCloud Photo Library on your iPhone, you can go to iCloud.com on your computer to be able to view all photos that have been saved to iCloud. You cannot see the photos that are saved in iCloud on your iPhone.
