If you have bellow 1000 photos on your camera roll will they ALL be there on other devices with your my photo stream no matter the 30 days time limit???
What would happen if I delete photos from iCloud.com but all of my synced apple devices are put into airplane mode? Will the photos only get removed from the devices once they are connected to the internet?
If internet signal strength is fairly poor, will icloud still work ?
Good info. Thanks!
Lost interest when u brought google in
DO NOT USE GOOGLE PHOTOS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT FOR THE REMAINDER OF YOUR LIFE. Firstly, it's no longer free(?) And even if it were, It's GOOGLE! THEY WILL NEVER LET YOU GO! Secondly, or thirdly… It's GOOGLE! THEY WILL NEVER LET YOU GO!
So if I turn off photo stream does it or does it not delete all my photos from my phone's internal storage? (ignoring icloud completely for this example)
Hi thanks , i would like to ask, if I delete my photo stream,i will loose my pic from gallery?
Nice if you could do a video on selectively deleting synched photos on iPhone without having to go back to computer. It’s ridiculous apple won’t let you delete these. If you delete then hook back up to computer
It should just delete the ones on the computer also in a reverse synch sort of way. 2020 and we can’t easily manage photos. It’s intentional on apples part to make it harder to manage photos on physical media. They wants everyone paying monthly for storage. When storage is super cheap now days.
greedy apple, google photos uploads unlimited for free
That helped. Thanks.
1 x Q – A few phots have NOT loaded into the Cloud from iPad or iPhone. How can I do that exactly so that I fill-in the gaps ? Thanks again.
I looked and I had BOTH photo stream and icloud going (plus i already knew about google photos, which is great!). I turned off photo stream, but I don't think I understand why they offer the option to have both on…? Also, I'd love to understand how to keep my own copy of all my photos on an external drive, just to ease my paranoia….
For some reason when I take a photo on my iPhone they aren’t showing up on my iPad anymore. Anything in the settings to see them again?
2020 how to stop photo stream
I already use iCloud as a backup service for my Macbook photo library. I used to transfer my iPhone photos onto my Macbook Photo library, so many photos that were taken on my phone are already in iCloud. However, I've never switched iCloud "on" on my iPhone. Now I really need to do this because of storage issues. But I'm afraid of chaos. Will my iPhone photos appear in a separate album on iCloud/iPhone? Will iCloud have "doubles" from all the photos that are on my phone and my Macbook library?
Mystery solved!!! I could never get the difference between the two! Thank you so much!! You should work for Apple and make more such direct and simple explanation videos – no Apple style marketing 😉
Bruh, iCloud backup took 78 GB of my storage for my ipad only not other devices
Wow that was so well explained.
I however don’t understand what happened as suddenly i can’t see my pictures from a month ago. I have iCloud photo library enabled and i’ve checked my recently deleted folder on my 8Plus iphone and nothing is there. I am panicking. I also checked my Windows pc but only my photos fron 2 years ago are present. Thank God i found my pictures from last month on Google photos. But what happened to my photos? I also checked Hidden photos just in case but nothing.
All i want is for me to be able to take pictures on my phone and put them on my mac and then delete them off of my phone without them deleting off of my mac but i literally feel like i need a degree to figure out how do to it
Great video!, and good to know alternative service. I my case Im still with iCloud, because no only offer save my photo and share it with all devices, it also save backup data of my phone, and data from others apps.
THANK YOU!! Luckily I was using the right one but didn't know why! Now I do!! 😄
Upload to my stream is not there
This was helpful thank you! I recently discovered Google Photos as well, but it’s so important to me to keep the full resolution files. So iCloud it is for me
Great video!
I had really important photos on my iPad and idk why my iPhone and iPad decided to photo stream and everything I had on my phone when to the iPad and everything I had on the iPad I have no clue where it is and it’s killing me cuz I really need the old photos that were on my iPad does anyone know what I could do?
So one benefit of iCloud is that it recognises photos you marked as 'Favourite' on your iPhone. There are good reasons for marking Favourites, for example if there are any good ones you want to print out. This can save a lot of time later when doing housekeeping or any photo-related projects. AFAIK Favourites markings do not transfer over to Google Photos.
