A compilation of the 30 weeks I spent building my Goat Island Skiff . Yes, a plywood sailing boat full build!
from lofting to cutting and coating the panels with epoxy to all the woodwork and and finishing like marine Varnish and enamel painting.
You can also see how I made my carbon spars using old windsurf masts.
laminated rudder and daggerboard process is briefly shown here too.
And of course, some cool sailing moments.
This is my first plywood boat building so this is NOT a tutorial on how to build the GIS, it’s just how I built it a homemade plywood sailing boat…my way.

This week i assembled the most gorgeous machined Aluminium Bearing Housings Made by Alexcnc from the MMX Team.
They are adjustable for the Depthing of the gears. We are also implementing the new PBS Product Breakdown System for the Whole MMX. Chris, the new project manager has introduced me to the sacred lands of Excel heaven and although there is a lot of initial work we have to do to make this function properly, the long term efficiency will improve a lot! We are taking the MMX from being a one off DIY maker project to being a scalable, fully fledged ready to build for any competent group of people machine. Its really great!

I can afford to build these expensive projects because I don’t keep them afterwards Gold and silver is bought new and anything left is sold for scrap price afterwards. The diamond was certificated and bought from a wholesale diamond trader, and is be sold back the same way. Obviously I lose out in the transaction, but NOT for the Full price.
This is the first time I have ever mounted a Diamond let alone a tricky Trillion cut diamond. One clumsy move and I could have damaged the delicate points. This would have been an extremely expensive mistake and would have meant sending it away to be recut and recertificated. Luckily it was OK.
In the video the silver button weighed 119g, there was an error in the scales, the actual weight was 142g.
2020, not the best year so I decided to make a 10,000,000 real diamond play button for you guys. All of you.
