HOW IT WORKS
So how did we do it? How did we develop an eyelash glue that works in any humidity and temperature? It’s all about the purity of medical-grade cyanoacrylate used in Dark Matter, infused with ultra-nourishing castor oil. In fact, we use the same medical grade cyanoacrylate used in surgical wound adhesives!
In general, the lower the temperature/humidity, the longer the drop of glue stays fresh. Tests have shown Dark Matter to be effective at all humidities from 10% to 95%. In terms of temperature, dark matter will function optimally at temperatures of 16°C to 39°C (61°F to 102°F).
While Dark Matter sets very quickly, it doesn’t dry out or lose its stickiness on your lash plate. One dot of Dark Matt Glue can be used for up to 5 hours. Dark Matter allows lash artists to lash more efficiently because you don’t have to refresh your glue point every 30 minutes. Dark Matter is more economical as one bottle lasts 3-10 times longer than other bottles of eyelash glue, especially because the quality of Dark Matter does not degrade in the bottle.
Dark Matter is manufactured in the EU to strict EU standards. You can find the date of manufacture (d/m/y) in the code “Ch…” on the bottom of each bottle of Dark Matter.
HOW TO USE DARK MATTER
Dark Matter is a very thin adhesive as it is made from medical grade cyanoacrylate which has stronger adhesion than normal cosmetic grade cyanoacrylate. Shake the bottle vigorously for 2 minutes before first use. Open the bottle and apply a single drop of Dark Matter to silicone or foil. Do not apply to plastic, paper, tape or jade stone as these surfaces may react to the adhesive. Let the glue dot work for 5 minutes before you start working.
If you prefer to use a plastic glue ring, be sure to cover it securely with aluminum foil before adding your Dark Matter glue dot.
When starting the lash, work from the center part of the glue point and use a scooping technique to extract a bubble of glue and apply it to the root of the lash extension.
If you use the pinch or finger roll method to create volume fans, be careful not to use high-alcohol hand sanitizers and avoid using regular primers and adhesive accelerators, as their main active ingredient is alcohol. Contact with alcohol will negatively affect the hold of Dark Matter lashes, just as contact with oil will negatively affect regular eyelash glue.
Instead, opt for an alcohol-free hand sanitizer and only use Ruthie Belle’s Superdry as a primer/adhesion booster. Adhesive Superdry has several times lower alcohol content than typical adhesive boosters and is specially formulated for Dark Matter (it works with other lash adhesives too).
Don’t worry about replacing your glue drop even if it starts to dry out on the outside edge. A Dark Matter glue dot can be used for up to 5 hours! Replace with a fresh dot only when the texture of the glue becomes fibrous.
**Eyelash artist tip**
Recommend your clients treating their natural lashes with castor oil while wearing extensions. Castor oil is known for its nourishing properties for skin and hair. Regular use of castor oil helps to nourish and strengthen natural eyelashes and promote eyelash growth.

Warning: Dark Matter is not compatible with Prolong Lash Cleanser due to its high alcohol content. Contact with alcohol will negatively affect the hold of Dark Matter lashes, just as contact with oil will negatively affect regular eyelash glue.
How do I store dark matter?
Store your dark matter in a cool, dark place, preferably below 25°C (77°F). Unopened bottles can be stored on the middle shelf of the refrigerator. To start using a chilled bottle of Dark Matter, let sit on the counter at room temperature for 30 minutes and shake well for 2 minutes before first use.
An opened bottle of Dark Matter should never be stored in the fridge to avoid condensation forming in the bottle and starting the adhesive curing process.
When stored correctly, Dark Matter will stay fresh up to 6 months unopened and up to 3 months once opened.

WHAT DOES IT DO?
Thanks to the high degree of purity of the cyanoacrylate, Dark Matter works at any humidity level (we have tested it working at 10-95% humidity) and at any temperature (the glue even works perfectly at 39 degrees Celsius!). It has practically no fumes! Dark Matter is a very fast setting glue but will not dry out on your lash plate like regular glue. You can work 1.5-5 hours with ONE dot of glue without affecting the quality of the glue. So the bottle lasts 3-10 TIMES longer than regular glue because you don’t have to renew the glue dot every 30 minutes.
HOW TO USE?
Shake well for 1 minute before first use or Lash Smarter, Not Harder – use our amazing Posh Deluxe Liquid Mixer built in at high speed to perfect the blending ability!. Shake well for 10 seconds once a day. Only use glue on the film or silicone surface. Avoid plastic and paper as it can react with the glue. Allow the glue drop to “breathe” for 5 minutes before use. Avoid all products with high alcohol content as they negatively affect dark matter storage. This applies to regular hand sanitizers when you use the pinch method/finger roller to create volume fans (choose alcohol-free hand sanitizers instead) and regular primers/adhesion boosters (whose main active ingredient is alcohol). Use ONLY Adhesive Superdry as a primer/adhesive booster with Dark Matter (it will work with all other adhesives too). Use the scooping technique to pick up a bubble of glue at the root of the extensions. This offers the best retention. The higher the humidity, the longer the drop of glue stays fresh. Unlike traditional adhesives, Dark Matter does not need to be replaced when the glue point begins to dry from the outside edge. Get a fresh point only when you see the texture becoming fibrous!

HOW TO SAVE?
Dark Matter 5g will stay fresh unopened for up to 3 months after opening and a total of 9 months after manufacture when properly stored. This means that the glue should be opened no later than 6 months after its manufacture: 6 months unopened shelf life + 3 months after opening = 9 months total shelf life.
Protect from direct sunlight and store below 25 degrees Celsius. You can store UNOPENED bottles in the fridge (not frozen) on the middle shelf (top and bottom shelves are always colder). Take out the bottle 30 minutes before use and shake well for two minutes. Once opened, do not put it back in the fridge as condensation will form inside the bottle and start the glue curing process.
We make them twice a month to ensure our customers always get fresh glue. The date of manufacture is marked on the underside of the adhesive as a batch number (marked with Ch:…). The first two numbers indicate the date of manufacture, the middle two numbers indicate the month and the last two years.
