What’s the Subaru Impreza bank 1 sensor 2 location?
star top answer
The Subaru Impreza O2 Sensors Bank 1 Sensor 2 should be found after the catalytic converter near the #1 cylinder head in Bank 1. The bank 2 sensor 1 should be installed in front of the catalytic converter near the second cylinder head. They form a valuable link in a vehicle’s exhaust and ignition systems by monitoring the amount of unburned oxygen exiting the tailpipes. This data is sent to the vehicle’s main computer or ECU and used to inform the engine’s air/fuel ratio. During work, an O2 sensor helps maintain optimal fuel economy and ignition. As sensors begin to fail or tire, readings will be affected causing the car to run too ‘rich’ or too ‘lean’ which can lead to rough idling, reduced gas mileage and mIS fires.
bank 1 sensor 2
Ignore the Bank 1 Bank 2 stuff.
This is just the generic code.
Our header goes from both connectors on the head into 1 tube on each side as these two meet and go as one tube to the rear of the car.
However, if you had an 02 sensor before going to the rear of the car, one on the left side of the “bank” and one on the right, it would tell you that the “bank 1” side was going out or leaning or What ever.
More important in our cars is either the front or the rear 02 sensor.
