Sarah Bernhardt – Queen Elizabeth (1912)

There’s a subplot involving a missing ring, which (in the context of the story) demonstrates Essex’s fidelity to Elizabeth.\r

\”Queen Elizabeth\” was by far Bernhardt’s most successful film.\r
