How to Escape from Cougar Creek Railroad Prison

Cougar Creek Railroad Prison has four escape plans that you can choose from. Two of them are solo while two of them are multiplayer.

First Escape

First escape is My Little Phoney and it requires you to be solo. For this, you need to make a fake carrot. You need to find the items required for it on the train and you cannot move freely on the train. You will have to sneak around. The items that you require for the fake carrot are a green pen, an orange pen and a handkerchief.

None of the items are contraband so if you get caught while sneaking, you will still have them with you. Once you have all the items, head over to the carriage at the back with the horse running alongside it. Craft the fake carrot and walk to the opening to the carriage. Your escape is successful.

Second Escape

Second escape is Hooked on You and this is only achievable in solo. For this escape, you need to craft a grapple hook and a grapple head. To craft them both, you must find two crowbars, a piece of duct tape and a rope. Once you have the items, craft the grapple head and then the grapple hook. Remember that the items you require are contraband so they will be taken from you if you get caught but they will appear in the contraband desk next to the control room. So can sneak in there and get them.

Once done with the crafting, head to the carriage with the ladder in it. It is located to the front of the train. Climb the ladder and reach the top. Escape on the east side of the carriage.

Third Escape

Third escape is Do The Locamotive and it is only possible in multiplayer. All you need to do for this escape is find a good weapon from anywhere on the train, head to the front of the train and kill all three guards present in the front of the train. It sounds very simple but it is actually a very difficult escape because the guards are very tough to kill.

Fourth Escape

Fourth escape is Loose Caboose and it is also only possible in multiplayer. For this escape, you must find three crowbars on the train. After you have all three crowbars, get everyone on the back of the train and detach the caboose. Once done, your escape is complete. Again it sounds like a very easy escape but in reality, it is very challenging.

Preparation:

Find the following items scattered in desks around the train: Green Pen, Handkerchief, Orange Pen.

Craft a “Pretend Carrot”.

The Escape:

Go to the second wagon in the location shown.

Equip the pretend carrot and escape.

Do The Locomotive

Preparation:

Grab a weapon of your choice, we recommend you to do this with atleast 2 other friends.

The Escape:

To do this escape you have to take over the front wagon of the train. For this you simply need to take out the 3 guards driving the train. They have very good weapons and are hard to beat, so the more friends you have with you the easier it gets. After you beat the guards in the wagon you have to gather all your friends, even if knocked out, in the wagon and escape as shown.

Hooked On You

Preparation:

Search around the train for the following items: “2 crowbars, 1 roll of duct tape, 1 rope”. These can be found in desks.

When you find those items craft the grapple hook as shown below.

The Escape:

Look around the train for the carriage with the ladder, it’s the third to last wagon.

Now go up that ladder with the grappling hook equipped (make sure it’s in the first slot), go to the place shown and press E to escape (you don’t need guard outfit but it makes it easier to walk around the train).

Loose Caboose (Multiplayer Tip)

Preparation:

Navigate around the train until you find 3 crowbars. Keep in mind one of the crowbars is behind a multiplayer door, making this objective only achievable in multiplayer.

The Escape:

Once you find 3 crowbars, head all the way west of the train. All of your friends must be there to escape.

Use all the crowbars on the connector as shown in the picture.

Transport prisons are different from the normal prisons because they are timed. Your task is to escape the moving vehicle – which is a train in this case – before it arrives at its destination (and puts you back in normal prison). You don’t have to worry about routines, favours or other inmates. You just have to figure out how to escape. There are unique escapes to discover whether you’re playing alone or with friends; will you make your way to freedom?

Whether you’re a new or existing player, all you’ve got to do to check out Cougar Creek Railroad, is to download the new – and FREE – update. As a reminder, we’re working to bring all existing The Escapists 2 content to The Escapists 2: Pocket Breakout, via continuous updates in 2019 and beyond.
