If they would do away with the security theater, aka taking off your shoes???, then they'd be fine. Also why do they charge $75 to pre-check? Literally could be done for $5. Stop trying to be so greedy.
You are supposed to come 3 hours early regardless… I know domestic flights say two hours but it's always better to be there the 3 hours early. I work at the airport and the amount of people that show up an hour prior to departure to check-in and drop a bag and then are surprised that they are missing the flight is mindblowing.
Time to get that Pre-Check.

15-16 an hour to start??!!! And you work graveyards, weekends, holidays, split-shifts etc. I tried out 5 years ago and went through the hiring process.
The hours, the hassle and the low pay was not worth it.

Well when I applied for minimum wages positions at TSA 2 years ago, nobody even called me back…

Before the pandemic the recommendation was the same arrive 2 to 3 hours earlier. Some people never learn and didn't follow instructions anyways. 🙄
They want tsa to deal with all the traffic hassles , karens, kens ,etc. but if not paid enough to owrk the job then they gonna go pay is talking and not so much bs to try keep help around. incentive is one time thing not a continues payment any. so pay enough to deal with all the hassles and any bs along the way then maybe get more then enough help anytime. from videos seen this pandemic has just caused way too many hassles as if was planned any or whatever.
My foreman's son just started, It took the TSA over a YEAR!!!!!!! to process him into a working position.

I wanted to join the tsa but the 3 months of training and pay are the worst.
They aren't hiring. I sent in many applications but I can't even get in for an interview. I noticed this with many jobs too. One company was reporting to the media that they were missing 800 open positions, but their website only had about 70 open positions 🤔🤔🤔 I think the next question should be how many applications have they actually interviewed
Do they still pat people down and touch the groin? Todays passengers keep flight safer than the TSA.

Walked through Newark International airport two weeks ago and the TSA line at the United terminal was wrapped around the corner!
Transportation Stupidity Administration. No need for it to exist! I was held up in Philadelphia when some TSA dweeb thought the tuna sandwich in my Autistic 20 year old son’s backpack was dangerous. 🙄
