Hey Growfit Family welcome Back to the channel! As I mentioned above in the video I have been out a couple of months due to my pregnancy. Now I am back and ready to do more videos for you all! With times such as these I wanted to show you all how to make a Vegetable Glycerin Tincture to have for you and your family.. This would be a great time for you all to familiarize yourself with building your at home apothecary and using herbs to help boost the immune system.Tinctures are more potent than actually taking capsules. It goes immediately to the blood stream. One important thing to know is that Glycerites are alternatives to alcohol based tinctures (Vinegar is also a option but we are keeping it simple today). Although alcohol based tinctures are more potent when it comes to extracting from the herbs themselves vegetable glycerins are also excellent to use regularly. The Vegetable glycerine used to make the tincture has a sweet taste and the consistency is very similar to a thick syrup. When making a glycerite with dried herbs it is very common to use water to aid in rehydrating the herbs. However, if you choose to use fresh moist herbs you do not have to use any water. This is because fresh moist herbs already have water content. However, although this is a personal preference you want to keep in mind that because fresh herbs already contain water it will effect the potency of your vegetable glycerine tincture. So be sure to keep that in mind when you are making your tincture in the future and measuring out your glycerine to water ratio. I hope that you guys enjoy this video and that it was helpful. Enjoy!
