Gibsons first attempts for a 59 Reissue featuring the legendary \”Tim Shaw – Pickups\”. 100% Original and in great condition. The guitar has some minor playwear, mostly on the backside of the body, but no breaks, rairs or other hidden damages. Beautiful figured top. Nice and big 1-piece mahagony neck but comfortable to play and sounds just great! Including original Gibson brown case with pink lining.

1981 Gibson Les Paul Heritage 80 Elite – Honey Sunburst incl. orig. brown Hardshell case
Outstanding clean 1981 Gibson Les Paul Heritage 80 Elite in Honey Sunburst with a super nice, wild flametop. Gibsons first attempts for a 59 Reissue featuring the legendary “Tim Shaw – Pickups”. This guitar is all original with untouched solderjoints and in excellent condition. We got this guitar from the original owner who bartely played it, the original frets are still in perfect shape. The Heritage Elite models where the top-of-the line instrumets back then and featured a 1-piece neck and nicer tops, this top is definately something special, propably the nicest we´ve ever seen. Nice and big 1-piece mahagony neck but comfortable to play and the two orig. “Tim Shaw” humbuckers sound great! Including original Gibson brown case with pink lining and orig. waranty card.

Neck Details: Three piece mahogany neck with bound ebony board and trapezoid inlays.
Electronics: Original stock pickups and wiring. The pots date to 1979 and 1980. At some point gold pickup covers and pole pieces were installed in the pickups. The original nickel covers have been reinstalled but the gold pole pieces remain.
Pickup Measurements: neck 7.6k ohms bridge 7.6k ohms
Hardware: Original hardware except for the replaced tuners and the gold pole pieces in the pickups. The pick guard is included in the case but the original bracket is missing.
Weight: 9 lbs 9 oz
Modifications/Repairs: -At some point gold pickup covers and pole pieces were installed in the pickups. The original nickel covers have been reinstalled but the gold pole pieces remain. -The tuners have been replaced. -The screws holding the pickup covers down are not original and some are mismatched.
Case Details: Original hard shell case.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has light play wear for its age. The finish is glossy with light dents and scratches throughout. The back of the body has light buckle rash. The metal hardware is nicely tarnished with age.
Serial Number: 83341512
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are wide with medium hight and minimal play wear. -The serial number dates to 1981.
