Zoltan Gergely Asks:have a nice day for everyone!I’m new here, and I’m also new in python, just learn a bit of it in highschool.I’d like to have some help from u guys.I’d like to build an app with tkinter, and don’t want to be so complicated. I’d like to have 3 tabs on the top, each one have it’s own input field, one is for piece counter, I mean how many piece the machine will make. One input field for which product the machine will make. I also want to have counter in the background, which counts the seconds, while the first product made. I already made a program for count the incoming impulse from that machine, but I’d like to make the program in 1 single file. After the user give the datas in the right form and clicked on the ‘Start’ button, I’d like to change that tabs datas, to display the remaining pieces, and display the products name, then after the first product made, display the remaining time for that product, and the remaining time for make all of the products. I’d like to make it like, when I switch between the tabs, i don’t want to reset the tabs counter or anything that can change.I also thought about to make 2 program, 1 will count the seconds, the products which made and count the impulses, and the other one will made the interface for this program. In total, I’d like to make a program which run continuously, can change the datas on each tab, don’t forget when I switch between the tabs and it’s a useable interface. Don’t think about hyper interfaces, just a single interface, without any decoration or animation.Sorry if I’m not understandable, I’m just learning the language, it’s quite hard for me, thanks if your read it and i hope it’s quite okay. Have a nice day guys!
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named ‘virtualenv’ in Python
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named ‘virtualenv’ in Python #
The Python “ModuleNotFoundError: No module named ‘virtualenv'” occurs when we forget to install the virtualenv module before importing it or install it in an incorrect environment. To solve the error, install the module by running the pip install virtualenv command.
Open your terminal in your project’s root directory and install the virtualenv module.
shell Copied! pip install virtualenv pip3 install virtualenv sudo pip3 install virtualenv python -m pip install virtualenv python3 -m pip install virtualenv conda install -c anaconda virtualenv
After you install the virtualenv package, try importing it like:
main.py Copied! import virtualenv print ( dir ( virtualenv ) )
Or use it to create a virtual environment:
shell Copied! virtualenv venv
The Python error “ModuleNotFoundError: No module named ‘virtualenv'” occurs for multiple reasons:
Not having the virtualenv package installed by running pip install virtualenv . Installing the package in a different Python version than the one you’re using. Installing the package globally and not in your virtual environment. Your IDE running an incorrect version of Python.
If the error persists, get your Python version and make sure you are installing the package using the correct Python version.
shell Copied! python –version
For example, my Python version is 3.10.4 , so I would install the virtualenv package with pip3.10 install virtualenv .
shell Copied! pip3.10 install virtualenv sudo pip3 install virtualenv
Notice that the version number corresponds to the version of pip I’m using.
If the PATH for pip is not set up on your machine, replace pip with python3 -m pip :
shell Copied! python3 -m pip install virtualenv
If the “No module named ‘virtualenv'” error persists, try restarting your IDE and development server / script.
You can check if you have the virtualenv package installed by running the pip show virtualenv command.
shell Copied! pip3 show virtualenv python3 -m pip show virtualenv
The pip show virtualenv command will either state that the package is not installed or show a bunch of information about the package, including the location where the package is installed.
If the package is not installed, make sure your IDE is using the correct version of Python.
If you have multiple Python versions installed on your machine, you might have installed the virtualenv package using the incorrect version or your IDE might be setup to use a different version.
For example, In VSCode, you can press CTRL + Shift + P or ( ⌘ + Shift + P on Mac) to open the command palette.
Then type “Python select interpreter” in the field.
Then select the correct python version from the drop down menu.
Your IDE should be using the same version of Python (including the virtual environment) that you are using to install packages from your terminal.
Alternatively, you can use the built-in venv module to create a virtual environment in Python.
shell Copied! python3 -m venv venv source venv/bin/activate venv \ Scripts \ activate.bat venv \ Scripts \ Activate.ps1 pip install requests
Your virtual environment will use the version of Python that was used to create it.
If the error is not resolved, try to uninstall the virtualenv package and then install it.
shell Copied! pip3 show virtualenv python3 -m pip show virtualenv pip3 uninstall virtualenv python3 -m pip uninstall virtualenv pip3 install virtualenv python3 -m pip install virtualenv
Try restarting your IDE and development server / script.
You can also try to upgrade the version of the virtualenv package.
shell Copied! pip3 install virtualenv –upgrade python3 -m pip install virtualenv –upgrade
If the error persists, I would suggest watching a quick video on how to use Virtual environments in Python.
This one is for using using virtual environments (VENV) on Windows :
