Montecillo Gran Reserva 20008 is a classic Rioja, robust and elegantly complex. Aged for 26 months in handmade oak barrels, followed by 36 months in the bottle, this is a strongly perfumed red with aromas of ripe fruit. In the mouth it has a silky texture, with fine tannins.
The prestigious industry magazine The Wine Advocate has published its ranking of official (DOC) Rioja wines, awarding 91 Parker points to Montecillo Gran Reserva 2008.
This is an ideal wine to enjoy with all types of meat dish, particularly game, as well as oily fish dishes.
