Asia’s longrunning and most respected real estate awards series crescendoed to a celebratory finale with the announcement of the winners of the 2019 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final, presented by Kohler on Friday, 22 November, at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok in Thailand.
Around 150 nominees, representing major winning titleholders from PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards’ series of awarding ceremonies and gala dinners in 2019, put on their strongest front to be named \”Best in Asia\” from the Grand Final’s expanded, inclusive list of regional categories.
UOL Group ,Singapore’s development giant, took home the coveted trophy of Best Developer in Asia.
CapitaLand Vietnam’s CEO, Chen Lian Pang, was named ‘Real Estate Personality of the Year’ \”This is not my own achievement of leadership but also the efforts of those who have supported me over my career in real estate, especially management, colleagues and staff of CapitaLand, who have shared the same vision as I have.\”

15th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final 2020 | The Highlights
PropertyGuru, Southeast Asia’s leading property technology company, made history several times with the airing of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final as a virtual gala event and awards ceremony on 4 December 2020. As well as being the first virtual edition of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final, the special broadcast marked the 15th edition of the prestigious, longrunning real estate awards programme.
The 15th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final laurelled developers and projects from 14 property markets in Southeast Asia, the Chinese territories (mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau), Australia, India, and Japan with highly coveted regional titles – elevating them above their peers as the “best in Asia”.
Around 87 companies, representing distinguished country winners of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards series this year, competed for 35 accolades.
With three regional Developer awards, Singapore emerged as the most awarded country during the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final. GuocoLand was one of the ceremony’s biggest victors, winning Best Developer (Asia), the highest accolade of the night, as well as the top regional titles of Best Mixed Use Development (Asia) and Best Condo Development (Asia).
The 15th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final also saw the presentation of the annual PropertyGuru Icon Award to Thippaporn Ahriyavraromp (Chearavanont), Chairman of Executive Committee, DTGO; Chairman of Executive Committee, MQDC; and Chairman of Buddharaksa Foundation. Thippaporn Ahriyavraromp had been named Thailand Real Estate Personality of the Year in 2012 – the first woman to receive the title.
The 15th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final served as the culmination of the 2020 PropertyGuru Week, which began with the first virtual edition of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau) on Wednesday, 2 December. It continued with the sixth edition of the PropertyGuru Asia Real Estate Summit, held yesterday, 3 December as a virtual gathering of the real estate and proptech industry’s finest minds, toplevel business leaders, and decisionmakers.
An independent jury comprising the head judges of participating markets was responsible for choosing this year’s crop of regional and country winners: Christophe Vicic, Country Head, Jones Lang LaSalle Philippines, Inc. PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) Media Roundtable 2021
The highly awaited PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) programme has officially returned, with the fourth annual edition of the island nation’s most prestigious real estate awards kicking off with a virtual media roundtable, graced by real estate companies, market experts and thought leaders from Asia and beyond on Tuesday, 22 June 2021.
Dr. Nirmal De Silva, director and CEO of Paramount Realty and the chairperson of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) joined Jules Kay, managing director of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, to discuss the significance of the awards programme’s return as Sri Lanka sets eyes on the road to recovery.
A member from the independent judging panel, Roshan Madawela, founding director and CEO of Research Intelligence Unit (RIU), gave databacked observations about the impact of Covid19 on the property sector and presented best practices on coping with the health crisis.
HLB Sri Lanka, represented by Nihal Hettiarachchi \u0026 Company, this year joins the 4th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) as Official Supervisor, maintaining the programme’s reputation for fairness, transparency and credibility. Dinuk Hettiarachchi, managing partner of Nihal Hettiarachchi \u0026 Company as well as the CEO and director of the RNH Group of Companies, spoke at the roundtable on behalf of the international accounting and advisory firm.
Maga Engineering, past recipient of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, also partook in the virtual event to deliver insights on the property market and attest to the professionalism and farreaching impact of the awards programme. Mega Kularatne, director of finance and planning of Maga Engineering, recipient of the Special Recognition in Sustainable Development in 2018, weighed in on the postoutbreak demand for offices and commercial spaces and the sustainability of building practices.
