I'm over farmhouse and this is more the style I've always loved more antiques and florals and prints , I have always love southern country style gingham and blue toile .

You have a plate I grew up with as a whole set. It is white with flowers and scalloped edge. I am 73 and I was a child so the plate old.

I also love collecting vintage China! Just as a word of caution since you have small kiddoes is to swab them with lead test strips. Lead paint was super popular back then and many of my China swabs positive. It’s trace amounts so as an adult you might still use it no problem, but for young kids you have to be more careful!
I love how you toned down the very florid gold-edged plate with plain white teapots.

Something I started to add throughout my house are beautiful tiebacks with Fringe on the end,looks great on edge of a bench,end of bannister,bookcase, etc. Your flowers are lovely.Your pitchers are great.

I changed my style too from farmhouse to grand millennial. I made the mistake of decorating the first style I ever saw that I fell in love with. Wish someone told me to look at all the decor style first. Now I’m in the process of “defarmhousing”
I love this and loving your new cottage core kind of look. Vintage but in a specific and planned kind of way. I also want to ask you about your copper tea kettle on your stove. I really like that. Is it thrifted or did you buy it from a store? And I especially love the tea tins. But my favorite is the green house canisters. They look so good on the hutch. Such a novelty and they really show up on top of the hutch.

I think that cottage core is an easy transition from Farmhouse style. People are able to reuse a lot of Farmhouse style decor in cottage core.
Trader Joe's has beautiful flowers. Sadly I don't live close to one anymore. It's too hot here to grow most flowers. I received roses and lilacs for mother's day.
I've not heard the term " cottage core" but I have boxes of cottage core decor items in my garage. I love the soft pretty colors. Black and white is so boring. That basket is so stinkin cute!
When I'm decorating sometimes I think to myself: why am i keeping these items with no use? Just because they are pretty? And after seeing this video of yours I realized I got the answer to my questions: Yes, because they are pretty and make us happy!!! Love it!
