Cheap Flights from St. Louis to New Orleans from $75

Pros: “the crew took very good care of us”

Pros: “The crew was amazing”

Pros: “The crew was nice.” Cons: “N/A”

Pros: “Nothing, the flight was canceled without a refund. I highly recommend canceling all business with kiwi in the future.” Cons: “My flight could have occurred or I could have been refunded.”

Pros: “Being on time with everything.” Cons: “Nothing”

Cons: “Really felt happy on time touch down nice journey with delta”

Pros: “Crew was quick to help.” Cons: “long flight — 2nd cup of coffee”

Pros: “Friendly crew”

Pros: “The crew was amazing! The seat was comfortable.” Cons: “Used the self check in kiosk to begin! That was awesome! But after that I still had to stand in line to check in my bags. That part of the process took a bit longer than expected.”

Pros: “Comfortable seats”

Cons: “In flight movies would be nice . Tight seats for 6.3 huy”

Pros: “Nothing special” Cons: “That was the most uncomfortable and cramped seat I had ever had on a plane flight. Even sitting on the pillow did not help.”

Pros: “Food and drinks were great” Cons: “Would have liked being able to select a window seat.”

Pros: “This had one of the best attendants I have encountered. She was extra friendly and made us feel good.”

Pros: “Great service” Cons: “Stuck at landing. For over 20+ minutes”

Cons: “CheezIts were too salty. We had to sit on NO tarmac for over 10 minutes because a plane was stuck at our gate…several other gates empty – what’s up?”

Cons: “Snacks”

Pros: “Great crew” Cons: “Wi-Fi not working or hard to get to work. Flight was delayed by an hour and service was very rushed.”

Cons: “Flight was delayed out of St. Louis causing several of us to miss our connecting flight from Salt Lake City to Portland. Delta was of very little help in assisting us in making a connecting flight. They could have at least helped with travel arrangements and provided us with a little food, a pillow and a blanket as we waited in their terminal for the next flight on their airline which was a several hour wait. I understand these things happen but the passengers didn’t cause the problem and Delta needs to take care of people better if they expect to earn repeat business.”

Pros: “The crew! You have great people working for you on these routes.” Cons: “This was an easy flight. Nothing bad.”

Pros: “Being able to watch videos.” Cons: “Flew with 5 family members. None of us were seated together. And we have 3 young teen girls. Flight overbooked.”

Pros: “Good service and on time.”

Pros: “Nice plane. Efficient crew” Cons: “Not their fault but they were delayed 4 hours. At least they texted updates fairly frequently but I can’t give a 5-Star review because of the huge delay”

Pros: “Everyone was very friendly and concerned about us making our connections” Cons: “The fact that they didn’t make sure all the paperwork was correct and our delay to NO was due to that issue”

Pros: “Great staff, plenty of room, efficient snack and drink delivery, effluent boarding”

Cons: “Ac not working at last 30 minutes of flight.”

Pros: “Crew was kind and helpful. Snacks were great!”

Pros: “Nothing” Cons: “We lost our whole vacation and had to pay for the plans fare twice because My last name was spelled wrong on our tickets and we were unable to use them because my passport didn’t match the name on the ticket. We had to rebook everything pay almost twice as much for the plane fare, our Lodi g cost more and our trip was delayed for two weeks. Vyama is blaming us for spelling our name wrong and claimes that it’s our fault this happened because everything is automated. There saying they don’t touch anything that we enter into the booking but somehow everything they claim we entered is now in all capital letters and the space between our first name and middle name is now gone and all run together. The coustomer service number gets you to someone in India. I have tried to get this addressed four times now at first they tried to place the responsibility on the airlines now us and they have hung up on me twice. Kayak has been worthless, they also just pass the responsibility on to someone else. We will never use them again ant I intend to make sure that this mess is put out in social media to hopefully keep others from having their travel plans ruined by their flawed system.”

Pros: “The outbound crew was terrific. The flight itself was fine. We even arrived early.” Cons: “Upon deplaning in Cancun, ALL passengers are put on a bus and driven far away from the terminals to an arrivals area. Those of us with connecting flights are royally f*cked at that point, especially if your connection is short, as mine was. The so-called shuttle to the departure terminals, which are entire kilometers away, was to arrive in like half an hour. HALF AN HOUR. Who has this time to spare?? The alternative to the shuttle is paying a taxi that charges a hefty fare–and God help you if you don’t have cash. The departures terminal was swamped and only thru begging assistance and line cuts did I make my connection…and then only by the skin of my teeth. It was a complete nightmare.”

Cons: “Paid first class. Got served after people in coach.”

Pros: “New aircraft A320” Cons: “Late,”

Pros: “Very friendly crew” Cons: “Seatbelts very short given ample seat size”

Cons: “1 hour flight delay”

Cons: “Flight was delayed nearly 2 hours without any compensation to the passengers. I frequently fly jet blue and whenever they are that delayed not weather related the staff frequently gives the passengers a complimentary cocktail. Also your boarding process makes little sepnse to me why board from the front of the plane more sensible to board back to front”

Pros: “It wasn’t bad or good.”

Cons: “Long delay due to maintenance of oxygen masks issue. Why hadn’t this been taken care of with preventive maintenance?”

Pros: “The staff are fun and friendly. One of the hostesses stepped into the vacant seat where I was sitting and stepped back further when people where pushing by. We were almost cheek to cheek. The closest I’ve come to a cute bum in years.” Cons: “The gratis food offering isn’t healthy – those bread pretzels, versus the almond & tomato juice I had on the next flight, with …can’t remember the name.”

Pros: “They ran out of food on the plane”

Pros: “Personnel and crew handled the problem in a professional manner doing everything in their power to make the best of a bad situation. Another plane was provided within a reasonable time frame.” Cons: “Four hour delay. Boarded and then being told after 40 minutes that the problem was not fixable.”

Pros: “Spacious, clean, great host and hostesses. The flight arrived at our destination 30 minutes early.” Cons: “Nothing.”

Pros: “Newer plane! Comfortable” Cons: “Nothing just great”

Cons: “No space.”

Cons: “Not enough water on the flight and we landed in a parking lot and shuttled back to the airport.”

Cons: “turbulance”

Pros: “The crew was very friendly and helpful.” Cons: “The delays, we change to gate three times, Delta never told us why the changes or announce them. If it wouldn’t be for Trippet Pro, where I got notices, I would not have known about gate changes.”

Pros: “The crew was very apologetic and nice about the delays.” Cons: “The plane was 20 minutes late getting to the gate. Then we sat on the runway for over 30 minutes, while we waited in line for 30 other planes to take off. After a long day and a flight from Venice Italy, it was a bit disappointing to have this sort of delay.”

Pros: “I was cleared for standby! Flight attendant at the stl gate is always friendly and willing to help! I love her!” Cons: “I waited almost 6 hours on the phone the night before the flight to get on standby! Almost didn’t get the flight! Was charged $50 only to not get on my next flight because it was over booked! Flight attendant was very rude!”

Pros: “I liked that I was able to get able to get an earlier flight!” Cons: “I don’t like that I had to pay $50 extra dollars for standby on both legs of my flight! I am a very loyal delta customer and these past times flying I feel like my favorite airline is turning into the bad airlines delay everytime, problems with the plane fare prices too high! I’m starting to think about taking my business elsewhere!”

Pros: “10 minutes early departure” Cons: “There isn’t enough seats in the gate area and sitting on the runway for 10 extra minutes we could have been early”

Pros: “It was great and very roomy I felt like a movie STAR!!!” Cons: “N.A”

Cons: “Same old tiny uncomfortable commuter jet.”

Cons: “WiFi”

Pros: “Crew was very nice.” Cons: “N/A”

Cons: “The salad was included two unmentioned items that were unwelcome: bleu cheese and pasta.”

Cons: “When the delayed flight landed, the crew should help expedite those connecting to other flights. They should announce our connecting gates so that we don’t have to look it up.”

Pros: “Crew was great. Flight delayed due to lavatory door not closing. Then+0, 20 minutes of papaerwork. Followed by no one able to operate bridge when landed for 20 minutes.” Cons: “Delays,”

Cons: “2 hour delays on both flights of a round trip”

Cons: “4 hour plane availability delay – of course planned on weather but not planning”

Pros: “On time” Cons: “Having to walk from concourse b to concourse e for my connecting flight in less than 15min before the doors were shut. Was literally in my seat for 5min and the door was shut. Most people (older or families) would have missed it. Shame on CLT or American Airlines”

Cons: “They lost and cant track my baggage. Very poor customer service.”

Pros: “On time. Friendly and attentive staff.”

Pros: “One flight attendant was very nice and petsonable.” Cons: “Already checked in and then flight canceled 10 hours before departure. Paid for preferred seating but rebooked on smaller aircraft full and had to sit in last row. Not happy and arrived 2 hours latet than original flight. Tried to explain this at gate to American employee but she told me to sit down until name was called. Probably could have had better seats earlier if she could have listened to my issue but she wouldn’t listen to me. Didn’t even have the chance to tell her what had happened.”

Pros: “They got me there on time” Cons: “Long delay getting off STL-CLT. Made it to gate for CLT-ROC. Then, crew delay. The usual crammed interior, cheap snacks, feeling about like a public bus”

Cons: “inadequate ventilation”

Pros: “Room between rows Entertainment from St Louis to Phoenix”

Cons: “Flight was cancelled with no compensation”

Pros: “LOVED the spacious leg room on that aircraft!” Cons: “The lady beside me and everyone else listened to her audio book.”

Pros: “Fast”

Pros: “The crew was great” Cons: “The seats were not comfortable and boarding was a pain. Not sure why you wouldn’t want to board from the back to front. Weather grounded us at our loading airport so we were stuck with the option of staying the flight or going in the lobby.”

Pros: “Everything went smoothly.”

Pros: “Travel time” Cons: “No snacks on flight. The charging stations come in between legs space and very uncomfortable they got to be re adjusted. Make sure these are taken care in upcoming flights.”

Pros: “it was a bit bumpy all the way to NOLA, but we still got drinks and snacks, and flight attendants were very nice”

Pros: “To be fair. The flight is only 50 minutes. By th time you get a drink it’s time to land. It is completely unfair to the staff to have to do that. A flight like that. Have a box with a snack and some coolers that have 5 different beverages. I wouldn’t even sell booze. I person can hold out for a flight that shot to get one on the connection or in the terminal.” Cons: “It’s always a cramped flight. Nothing to be done except use a bigger, more spacious plane. The good thing is it’s the fastest way to get to Chicago from where I lived it would take 6hrs by car.”

Pros: “I was so happy I could check in online and boarding was a breeze. I actually got to sit by the window when my original seat was in the middle. So nice of the ladies to suggest it to me.” Cons: “No complaints”

Pros: “Cabin was clean. Flight attendants were courteous.” Cons: “Their snacks were merely a cookie which was okay, but not what I would have wanted.”

Pros: “On time take off”

Pros: “A nonstop flight, with a friendly efficient crew, met my expectations. A crew member went above and beyond when I asked for a coffee stirrer with my coke and ice.” Cons: “I’ve been spoiled by another airline’s access to screens on the back of the headrest. I have my own hand held devices to entertain myself instead.”

Pros: “Got to La Guardia almost 26 minutes early but then waited FORTY minutes for the gate!” Cons: “AA needs better coordination with the horrible La Guardia airport”

Cons: “good”

Pros: “Smooth – trouble free – calm process”

Pros: “Arrived to the airport well ahead of time and encountered lines so long that we were not able to make our flight. Only 2 attendants working and so many people had to be rebooked we didn’t get another flight for 3 days. Did I mention I was traveling with a baby?”

Pros: “The entertainment system. It was awesome. The crew was friendly.” Cons: “Nothing notable.”

Pros: “JAL is customer oriented and it’s always a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, though the return trip is also JAL, the cabin crew isn’t.”

Cons: “Everything was great.”

Cons: “Only suggestion would be to make the connection process a little easier. If the passenger doesn’t speak English, the fact you need to print the international ticket in Miami, then re-enter at checkpoint might create confusion.”

Pros: “Non stop” Cons: “Airline”

Pros: “Crew was fine even when we had to sit on the ground for 1 1/2 hours for a repair.” Cons: “American Airlines didn’t honor my choice of seats.”

Cons: “No food or beverages for me. I slept comfortably on my flight”

Pros: “Easy to navigate site. Was given Pre-check on one leg, which was nice.” Cons: “Had to purchase a seat on one leg, resulting in an extra $12. That was a surprise.”

Pros: “I don’t know how airlines get away with all the stipulations and regualations they have in the buying process there is. Otho g I like about the scam artist they are” Cons: “The fact they they can just make it a policy and then because the employees have to have a job and enforce it blows my mind. 200 dollar transfer fee plus the difference in the ticket when it’s over two weeks in advance. You people are scam artist”

Pros: “You provide me with the best ticket prices and to me that was the the most important part of of the trip thx” Cons: “The airlines charging for your luggage”

Pros: “The movies” Cons: “No Food”

Pros: “I loved the price more than anything else. All the staff were friendly and professional. Every flight was on time with no delays.”

Cons: “seats were very uncomfortable”

Pros: “I sat in seat 2A. Excellent food and service. Flight was smooth.”

Cons: “Would be nice to know ahead of time if flight is equipped with an in seat television so as to be prepared to bring headphones.”

Pros: “We arrived safe.” Cons: “Departure 1.5 hours late. Missed connection. Travel took 16 hours instead of 6 hours.”

Pros: “All great.”

Pros: “power outlets & TV” Cons: “crew was cranky”

Pros: “Everything was timely.” Cons: “No complaints”

Cons: “The internet connection was terrible i was not able to see anything that was being offered”

Pros: “What mede this trip so poor was that the agent at the desk informed me that as I was boarding the plane my carry on suitcase had to be checked due to limited space in the overhead bins. This is the same carry on that I have stored in overheads on literally over 100 flights including a United flight 4 days earlier. I was the approximately the fith passenger to board in group 3 and after I let her check my bag I walked on to the plane to see not only was it only one quarter full of passengers, most of the overhead bins were completely empty. So I had to go to baggage claim to get my checked bag after we landed which took almost 40 minutes. Very frustrating!” Cons: “See above!”

Pros: “Very good no complaint at all”

Pros: “United does it better than low-cost carriers” Cons: “Not worth the additional cost over low-cost carriers”

Pros: “Great crew”

Pros: “Ok.” Cons: “Less time with seatbelt sign on.”

Pros: “Flight left on time. There was plenty of room. Nice staff.” Cons: “It was very cold on the plane because the valve for the heat was frozen.”

Pros: “Very good service”

Pros: “WiFi and entertainment on board the aircraft” Cons: “All goof”

Pros: “Quick and uneventful flight.” Cons: “My reading light didn’t work.”

Pros: “Everything went well” Cons: “I loved everything”

Cons: “Our flight was delayed. We did not make the connecting flight. They would not provide us another flight same day or money back or money for the rental that we required.”

Pros: “Crew was extremely friendly.” Cons: “Temperature was way too warm.”

Pros: “Fast boarding.” Cons: “The flight was half empty and when I tried to move a row ahead of me (from economy to economy plus), the flight attendance rudely told me I had to move back to my seat since the economy plus seat was $70 more. However, a reasonable airline would upgrade their customers to first or economy plus to not only appease their customers but to fill some empty seats. Therefore, I had to spend the entirety of my redeye flights crammed next to someone while I was looking at an almost empty economy plus section. Also, we boarded earlier than expected but we spend an extra hour on the flight waiting to take off. I would not have minded boarding early if we had taken off early, but we took off an hour later.”

Pros: “Your new plane was really nice. Finally enough leg room! Flight was on time, landed great, and service on the plan was great too.” Cons: “N/a”

Pros: “Everything was excellent! I even got upgraded to a window seat!”

Pros: “Service was excellent”

Cons: “Super uncomfortable seats”

Pros: “Boarding was easy crew was pleasant. Shouldn’t have to pay extra for tv, ticket prices are high enough as it is!!” Cons: “No leg room which isn’t good for circulation on a 4 hr flight!”

Pros: “That I didn’t have to walk to Fargo. I wasn’t dragged off a plane.” Cons: “3 flights to Fargo were cancelled. I was told I would not get to Fargo until 32 hours after my original time I was suppose to land in Fargo. After spending a fair amount of time on the phone with customer service I was able to get me on a Flight to Minneapolis that did not arrive till 1:30am then had to take a rental car to drive 3.5 hours to make it to my destination. I was not compensated for any of this. My return flight from Fargo to St. Louis was also Delayed. Both from Fargo and from Chicago. I have never experienced such poor scheduling from an airline or as many delays or cancelled flights in just a few day period.”

Cons: “Never on time”

Pros: “Smooth and positive communication.”

Pros: “Besides being tired and walking what felt like 3 miles to new gate I have not issues to report.” Cons: “I chose to fly Southwest on the way back and for less money I received better service. If you find a reasonably priced flight you don’t have to worry about paying extra for baggage or stomach during the flight. On the flight home, I realized that they have bigger seats, your bags ( 1 personal, 1 carry-on, and 2 checked bags) are “free” and they give you a little snack to hold you for maybe and hour. Overall I prefer Southwest because of all the benefits you get while flying with them but it doesn’t mean I will never fly United again.”

Pros: “Everything was smooth”

Cons: “I was informed at check in that I could not bring a carry on bag. Therefore, I had to pay to check my bag. However, all other passengers on the plane brought carry on bags. Then, upon arrival in New Orleans, my bag failed to arrive. My bag was still in Chicago.”

Cons: “Very uncomfortable seating!”

Pros: “Wish all the major airlines would have more flight options from ORD and MSY, but all went well” Cons: “Fast and painless”

Pros: “Fast” Cons: “Small plane”

Cons: “After I booked my round trip flight to Denver from New Orleans I discovered that my mom had surgery to remove her breast cancer on the day I was originally supposed to depart. I called to see if there was anything I could do to change my flight to the next day and received no help what so ever. They said it would cost $200 just from the start. I couldn’t afford that, so I just bought a cheaper one way ticket for the next day, not knowing that if I didn’t catch my first flight that my return flight would also be cancelled. When I called to see if I still had my return flight I was told no and one again told it would cost $200 to do anything about it. So in the end, I’m stuck in Denver and bought a round trip ticket for absolutely no reason.”

Pros: “In flight entertainment was great until the network stoped working 2/3 of the way there.” Cons: “We landed almost 40 min early, but was not allowed to get off because we had to wait our turn. So we just sat there with with nothing to do.”

Pros: “For the most part the ride was nice.” Cons: “Seats were so small”

Cons: “I was forced to check my carry on because others were allowed to bring several carry one bags I counted 18 passengers that were allowed to bring 3 carry one bags & a personal item to store under the seat so if you are in the 3rd, 4th or 5tn boarding group there isn’t any overhead storage available I paid to check check my other luggage so I would follow the rules others should be made to do the same I worried all the way to New Orleans that my carry would be lost”

Pros: “Both flights left on time and arrived at least 20 minutes early. My bag arrived at the baggage claim ten minutes after I arrived, and all went very well. I’m grateful.” Cons: “All was perfect”

Pros: “Excellent service!”

Cons: “The wi fi should be free of charge”

Cons: “The seats were too small no leg room”

Pros: “Crew was excellent. Beyond making sure we were comfortable.”

Cons: “No usb hookup. No food”

Pros: “The people at the gate and on the plane were nice. But I flew United Airlines not Lufthansa.” Cons: “Really sad that you have to pay extra money to watch the monitors on the back of the headrest for a 2.5 trip. That’s crappy. And then there is a point when you’re out of the Directv Range. We’re paying more for flights and then they have flight waitresses trying to monetize the time you’re in the air. And when I was checking in in Berlin this guy was asking me a ton of questions, but didn’t ask the next 5 people any questions. When I stared at him he started asking others questions. It’s really none of your business why I’m going somewhere or what I’m doing. These terrorist attacks are giving people authority they have no business having.”

Pros: “Good” Cons: “Good”

Cons: “Little more time between flights would be nice”

Pros: “Smooth flight, nice staff, on time” Cons: “Not enough leg room!!! The new planes cram us in even tighter. Unless you pay more, you suffer. Why should we have to pay more just because we are tall??!! Pocket for book etc is way too small.”

Pros: “Very smooth flight and good seat”

Cons: “Luggage compartment too small even for a rolling laptop bag”

Cons: “Flight was cancelled. I am still stranded and was given no accommodations so had to pay for a hotel in addition to costing me a full day’s wages in missed work. The United staff I spoke with by phone and in person were neither helpful not pleasant. I will go out of my way to never fly United again.”

Cons: “Still not in New Orleans”

Pros: “Wifi on flight”

Pros: “All the crew were friendly and accommodating.” Cons: “Waiting so long for the flight to actually take off. Very late !”

Pros: “Newer plane,”

Pros: “On time!” Cons: “No complaints”

Cons: “Flight was more than an hour delayed”

Cons: “SERIOUSLY, no WiFi purchase option??!”

Pros: “The flight attendants were pretty nice and attentive. The captain was good at keeping the passengers updated.” Cons: “The 2 hour delay was not fun while we sat waiting on the airplane. I realize this is not the crew’s fault.”

Cons: “Delayed not much notice”

Cons: “Too packed in.”

Pros: “Went exactly as described”

Pros: “The staff was a well oiled machine! Very funny & accommodating. They were all very friendly & helpful to all of the passengers. Everything was clean & orderly.”

Pros: “Nothing” Cons: “Everthing”

Pros: “Nothing” Cons: “Worst airline ever”

Pros: “cheap” Cons: “luggage was more expensive than the flight”

Pros: “My flight was smooth & uninterrupted. The crew was very attentive of everyone’s needs.” Cons: “Seats could use an update.”

Pros: “Same.” Cons: “Same ☝”

Pros: “the crew is nice” Cons: “waiting 2hours for board, and wait again after landing”

Cons: “Weather delays happen. But Frontier left me stranded in a Denver and offered me no options other than a refund? No rebooking no hotel nothing.”

Pros: “Finally landing!” Cons: “It felt like the rear end was going to come off the way it swayed after take off. The commode messed up causing a stench in the back of the plane, (where I was). The ride was very bumpy and the pilot intercom was hard to understand. We got delayed taking off and landing.”

Pros: “Flight attendants were great” Cons: “No complimentary drinks or snacks”

Pros: “baggage check-in speedy and efficient, rapid plane boarding and plane left the gate on schedule” Cons: “A special circle in Dante’s Hell should be reserved for the Frontier executives who approved the seat design. The non-reclining seat backs are fairly comfortable, but the seat bottoms appear to have about 1/4 inch of foam padding over a hard shell. Did anybody actually test these things out by sitting in them for over 10 minutes?”

Pros: “Straight to Orlando” Cons: “Seats just not that comfortable”

Cons: “Loudness And over priced EVERYTHING”

Pros: “new jet. enough leg room (i’m male, 5-10). Overhead bins are normal size (can hold typical carry on), not the microscopic ones. Everything was on time.” Cons: “STL ticket counter was only staffed 2 hours before the flight — which makes sense if they didn’t have more flights, but the signs weren’t big and complete enough for passengers to realize what was going on and how we would check our luggage. So we were standing around a bit confused. Once Frontier people showed up, it was fine. Also, coming back to STL, I had a 2 hr shuttle bus ride that was leaving 30 minutes after arrival, and although the plane arrived on time, the luggage didn’t reach me until 37 minutes after, so I had to get a hotel room for the night. I don’t know how luggage handling works, so maybe not Frontier’s fault at all. 30 minutes isn’t much time, but it was a direct flight, so I thought it would work.”

Cons: “The Flamingo. We began our vacation with Frontier Airlines on a note of apparent tension between the attendants and boarding passengers. Having not been a frequent flyer, I assumed that this was normal in post 9/11. The male attendant had a cold demeanor, until he was chatting up passengers to buy snacks and drinks. Why sell bar drinks when there is enough disorderly conduct in the air? The plane was cold, noisy and the outside air currents were choppy. No conversation from the pilot was forth coming as to what to expect during the flight. Then there was a the Master Card Commercial. It’s bad enough to be crammed into a noisy old plane, but to have to be subjected to a lengthy pitch for a credit card is inexcusable. Sandra Fliniau flight 04-09-2017”

Cons: “I will never again fly frontier. Terrible customer service. They know it and they don’t care. Their philosophy is well we are so cheap it doesn’t matter what we do to customers they will still fly with us. Well not me. Frontier you have lost my business forever”

Pros: “Short flight” Cons: “Hidden fees, had to pay $45 to check my bag which equals $90 round-trip, don’t even get a complementary beverage or snack . My plane ticket was $200 round-trip but I had to pay $90 just to carry my bags on… That is absolutely ridiculous. I’m never flying front tier airlines again !!”

Pros: “Cheerful staff” Cons: “Seats do not recline and crowded flight”

Pros: “Flight was fine. Seats were cramped but no worse than any other airline.” Cons: “When we landed, I did not get to baggage claim in a timely fashion. Frontier took our luggage and locked it up. We were told to go to the Frontier ticket counter to get our luggage. When we arrived all the frontier employees were gone for the day and no one at the airport could retrieve it. We had to wait several hours for someone to come and get our luggage. This was a terrible inconvenience. I have never experienced anything like this by any other airline. I have no idea why they did not just leave it off to the side (like every other airline does).”

Pros: “Price of flight and flight attendants.” Cons: “All the added charges.”

Cons: “Airplane not clean. No entertainment at all.”

Cons: “The staff at the boarding gate were unprofessional. They gossiped about how they were hired on to Frontier. The girl talked about how she was fired from her last airline. I didn’t hear the name of that airline.”

Cons: “Fronteir created new seats that do not recline, are quite thin and small tray tables that don’t lock. The consequence is that the man next to me couldn’t lean back enough, so slumped onto me most of the flight. A one year old behind me constantly pulled up and down the unmatchable tray table and kicked my thin chair — so I felt every little tiny foot. The stewardess refused to give us water when our row asked and they forgot to call boarding zone 2 when boarding so it was a mess. I would say Frontier was a terrible airline. Their discounted prices are a farce as they charge for a seat and carry-on luggage, so I may as well have paid for a regular fare from a more comfortable airline.”

Cons: “The flight was delayed a few hours. It took forever to Get out of the gate. It took an hour once we landed to get in the gate and deplane. I was given a seat on the computer and then when I got on the plane there were two people with same seat. The floors and seats were unbelievably dirty as well. I have never seen so much trash and crumbs everywhere. It was an awful experience. Our trip to Vegas the first night was ruined because we were planning to see a show Thursday evening and landed two hours late and could have possibly made it but we sat on runway for an hour before deplaning.”

Pros: “I like and it went good with no problems.” Cons: “The baggage Claim which I didn’t know each baggage claim have each groups of what the name that you flying out which no one told me about that so its new to me .”

Pros: “Nothing will not recommend them” Cons: “The price quoted did not include their fees for a carry on – $30 both ways! Feels unethical.”

Pros: “The crew was friendly and nice” Cons: “No entertainment and need better bag policies with prices”

Pros: “Nothing” Cons: “Everything, such a rip off”

Pros: “the crew made the best of a miserable corporate policy; the baggage arrived – 45 minutes after landing.” Cons: “2.0 hours late boarding; boarded 2x; lousy information; surly condescending station manager; insane baggage counter hours; no connection information in flight despite airline full responsibility for everyone on the plane being behind schedule.; connecting flight still at gate when 10 people tried to board and were not given access until a near riot occurred; no one seemed care at all. A woman with 5 week old child, a senior citizen with a cane, a woman recovering form surgery all RAN from gate to the other (about 1/2 miles) only to be told they were too late, the terminal door was closed. Only after pounding on the door, cajoling the customer service people 10 feet away and telling 50 others waiting in the service area did the door open!”

Cons: “Bag fee, carry on fee, pick seat fee, were bad.enough, but 11.00 for 2 sodas and snacks,, then asking for a tip was too much. Will pay more for any other airline.”

Cons: “O couldn’t take the flight because the cost of my luggage exceeded the costed my fight & was not allowed to cancel for refund of any kind.”

Pros: “Flight departed and arrived on timr” Cons: “Pricing structure. Misleading. Seats…horrific.”

Pros: “Was able to get good seats” Cons: “Do nit provide snack.”

Pros: “…the ticket agent who got me checked and put me through priority TSA so I could make my flight!” Cons: “The assistance of a front counter agent was horrible and made inappropriate comments to me due to me being late to my flight which was due to a faulty shuttle and short staffed rental service as if I was aware of airline policy! Even though I wanted to avoid all of lines to check in (only carry on bag) but all kiosk where out of service which why the lines where so long…the snide remarks and rude comments were not appreciated especially in front of other patrons, thank God another agent to assist me after the line agent moved me another customer up due to our flights.”

Pros: “The flight attending Andrew was very rude. Rude to me and many others. I felt it was the worst experience ive had on a flight, i fly often.”

Cons: “Late flight, disorganized at gate”

Pros: “Like that fact of none stopped” Cons: “I didn’t like the fact that everything needed a credit card”

Cons: “Even had to pay for ONE carry on. Ridiculous. Everything was a charge, even selecting a spot to sit. Not what I expected.”

Cons: “Seat was uncomfotable, with back too low for a tall person.”

Pros: “Cheap” Cons: “EVERTYHING is an added on cost, no frills, cramped,”

Cons: “183$ in seating and luggage fees AFTER the base ticket price…I wasn’t made aware of these charges until I went to check in for my flight. No leg room. Seats don’t recline. Tray table about the size of an iPhone 6. No entertainment. No snacks. All drinks cost money. Rude staff. Just a disaster of an experience. I’ll never fly frontier again.”

Pros: “The new seats are very comfortable.”

Pros: “I fly Frontier from time to time. Their posted fares are exceptionally low but they nickel and dime you to death…actually it’s more like $10’s and $20’s. I flew round trip from Ft Myers to St Louis for $125 plus one checked bag at another $35. Not for everybody, but if it works for you, they’re a good way to get from A to B.” Cons: “Seats don’t recline Charge extra for everything but the air you breathe and would charge for that if they could figure out how.”

Cons: “Seats were extremely uncomfortable. Tiny tray tables.”

Cons: “They delayed our flight 3 times”

Pros: “Ease of boarding.” Cons: “Nothing negative about airline or flight itself.”

Pros: “Eerything” Cons: “Hassle thru security.”

Pros: “I got to my destination safe” Cons: “Baggage fees, even for carry on!!!! Carry on cost more. Only 40lbs allowed. They DONT EVEN GIVE YOU WATER. There is no type of entertainment. Seats are very narrow. Its even hard to store thing in front of your seat.”

Pros: “Rude at counter. Paid 2x for seats”

Pros: “Very nice crew!” Cons: “Obviously…the delay!!!”

Pros: “Everything was great!”

Cons: “The passenger next to us smelled like vomit. It was terrible sitting next to him and I had to keep spraying my body mist every few minutes since it was extremely hard to breathe! He smelled like dead rats and old eggs vomitus combined! Worst experience in any airline so far! :(”

Cons: “I did not. Like anything.”

Cons: “The plane had very little a/c so was hot the entire trip and the seats are very hard making them very uncomfortable.”

Pros: “I won free miles!” Cons: “N/a”

Pros: “Crew were polite and efficient” Cons: “The extremely high cost to check a bag, almost double very other airline!”

Pros: “Plane landed safely in destination” Cons: “Baggage and cancellation, seat assigned, delayed departure”

Pros: “The food packages were reasonably priced.” Cons: “The staff was RUDE. Period the END. We got boarded on to a plane with zero air conditioning in 90 degree weather and instead of 1) DELAYING BOARDING 2) ACTUALLY NOTIFYING US AS TO WHAT WAS HAPPENING 3) OFFERING FREE WATER FOR THE INCONVENIENCE AND SO YA KNOW, PEOPLE DONT DEHYDRATE we were essentially told nothing for 45 minutes of sweltering heat. And once again, the crew was rude. They didn’t offer assistance of explanation in fact they rolled their eyes at you as if they couldn’t be bothered. We were actually told as we were deboarded “stay near by because we will leave without you” WITH zero time frame. I would rather pay a thousand dollars for a ticket then fly spirit airlines again.”

Pros: “Leg room” Cons: “Had to pay for any food and drink on 2 hour flight. Charged me for juice. Very tacky.”

Pros: “Nothing” Cons: “Everything that Spirit has done has been mediocre. I bought a ticket for my employee to fly to New Orleans and he showed up at the kiosk 40 minutes before the flight and was not able to get on so I had to pay $15 to reschedule for today and he showed up at the same time and still they said that their computers were down and they couldn’t check anybody in and there’s multiple people angry that they’re boarding passes want working and so now we have to figure out how he can get to New Orleans and actually make it there. It’ll be three days of not being able to get there because of spirits unethical and subpar customer service. I will never choose to fly Spirit again after this”

Pros: “seating” Cons: “could not get a free drink of water”

Cons: “They would not let me check in at 915 for a 955 flight. The airport was not crowded it was a Tuesday night and they would not budge on the fact that I was there 44 mins before not 45 mins. They have a very strict 45 min check in policy. I had to sleep at the airport and then they charged me 100 dollars for changing my flight. It is a scam. I was on line with multiple people who had to pay for their next flight even though there was plenty of time to get to the gate. I will never fly spirit again!”

Pros: “enjoy my flight”

Pros: “Cheap flight” Cons: “2-3 hour delay”

Cons: “I was very disappointed in the entire process. Mostly the lack of communication and consideration from the agents. I saw where elderly people were trying to walk up the ramp alone with zero assistance instead of a WC or help. The fact the agents were annoyed with the passengers bc of spirits lack of communication to inform to us passengers why we didn’t have a plane or a crew was very frustrating. With that being said the crew was amazing even after coming off an international flight and getting stuck in customs.”

Pros: “You staff is the most friendly and best” Cons: “i could not say anything that I didn’t like it was a great expirence”

Pros: “Flight crew was nice from LAX to MSY” Cons: “small seats, hidden baggage fees through priceline”

Pros: “The crew was great!” Cons: “There was garbage in the seat back in front of me when I got on the plane. Too many promotions onboard.”

Pros: “The ticket agent was kind i needed a wheelchair” Cons: “The flight crew were kind & friendly to each other & if passengers needed anything it was like a bother”

Pros: “No comment” Cons: “No comment”

Pros: “Nothing” Cons: “The ticket appears nice and cheap. but it isnt. they charge you 55 dollars for a checked bag, another 55 dollars for a CARRY ON bag, AND their weight limit is 40 LBS instead of 50LBS, so if you have a normal checked bag it’s actually going to be almost 100 dollars. If they could have I am sure they would have charged me 25 dollars for a seat-belt and charged me 10 dollars for using the airplanes bathroom. They are the epitome of money grubbing cheapskates. this is not to mention the seats being at least 4 inches closer together than any other plane I have ever been on. crammed in their like sardines. Spirit airlines is a complete pile of $hit and I will never be flying with them again.”

Pros: “courteous staff, timely, On the way to ft. lauderdale, we had really roomy seats close to the front:)” Cons: “N/A”

Pros: “Crew was nice” Cons: “The Charges for every little thing was annoying”

Pros: “Cheap flight, but you get what you pay for!” Cons: “Charge for purse with small bag that fit under the seat.not even able to get water without charge…stranded in Atlanta airport for 12hrs…after flight was cancelled at last minute…”

Pros: “the budget airline where you pay for everything – including water and carry on luggage – means you end up paying the same or more as other airlines. If you can go without water or luggage, you will save money.” Cons: “Luggage cost 100 dollars, instead of 25 on other airlines, because of higher costs. On outgoing flight from New Orleans they were 2 hours late leaving, then boarded and then announced the pilot wasn’t on board and they would have to wait til they arrived – for what turned out to be almost an hour, during which time they turned off the air so the plane was hot, stuffy and cramped, and water was available only for purchase. I called and emailed the company – no response. Terrible service, not worth the proposed savings because other costs equal out – cramped cabin, poor quality, no customer service to reach.”

Pros: “On time boarding, departure, and arrival.” Cons: “Space, bag fees”

Pros: “I liked that the flight was a very good price.” Cons: “What I didn’t like is that after I bought the ticket, I learned that I had to pay for a seat, I had to pay for checked bags of course, and I had to pay for carry on bags. What!?! About $150 for one checked and one carry on both ways…..which means I didn’t really save any money on this “cheaper” flight. One more kicker is that I travel using my TSA number and SPIRIT airlines doesn’t have an agreement with the TSA for their travelers to use pre-check. Wow. i wished someone had pointed out all the extra fares and fees”

Cons: “Lost my luggage. Very little room and seats did not recline.”

Cons: “Nothing!!! It was horrible, I got to the airport at 5:30. am tried to print my ticket, computer send me to the counter I ask for help the lady tried to print the ticket she couldn’t so I went to ask another lady she told me to get on the line by this time it was 6:00 am it was a long line by the time I got to the counter it was 6:30 and the flight was at 7:00 am then I got kicked out from the line for no having the ticket so I lost my flight and the money, I end up buying another ticket with American Airlines, never again with spirit never.”

Pros: “Nothing”

Pros: “Absolutely nothing” Cons: “Everything. Not only was the flight’s departure delayed by two hours, but once we were finally able to board the flight, the a/c wasn’t working. After taxiing aimlessly for 45 minutes in the Dallas summer sun with no air conditioning, the pilot announced we would have to return to the gate so that “the engine could be started”. Fortunately, at this time, the air conditioning was also repaired. After an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes of repairs, taxiing and waiting, we finally departed after a total delay of 3 hours. Upon landing in New Orleans, we were forced to wait for an additional hour while we waited for our gate to clear. All in all, we arrived 4 hours after our initial arrival time, and spent 3 hours on a plane for a 1 hour and 8 minute flight.”

Cons: “Loud noise before take off”

Pros: “The flight was nice & comfortable” Cons: “I had no dislikes”

Pros: “The staff were friendly and.helpful” Cons: “The 10 min sign up gor our credit card was unnecessary”

Pros: “Nothing” Cons: “We were not assigned a seat and had to wait at the gate until everybody got in the plane and they gave us the last seats and were seated separately, although there were 2 seats available next to my friend i was traveling with, but we were told it was a full flight. The flight attendant told us we could switch after the seat belt sign came off, but after that we were told no and one of them was not very polite. Terrible. Hope not to fly with spirit airlines ever again!! I dont want to talk about the baggage also, those people only know how to be rude and don’t explain anything!”

Pros: “Timely landing” Cons: “Late take off but made up in the air.”

Pros: “Nothing. I really wish I would have read spirit’s reviews before booking with them.” Cons: “I booked a round trip flight through spirit from July 2nd to July 4th for a friend’s wedding. Found out the night before my flight that it was cancelled due to “mechanical failure.” Since it was on a holiday weekend, all of spirit’s other flights for the day were full and customer service (which is also terrible) would not put me on another airline. They offered a refund, which I accepted and have yet to receive, but I had to fork out another $120 to get another last minute flight. And of course they did not offer to cover the extra cost. Tl;dr – booked a flight with spirit because it was cheap and ended up almost missing my friend’s wedding because my flight was cancelled.”

Cons: “The seats were uncomfortable”

Cons: “Seats don’t recline at all.”

Pros: “Crew meme era were nice” Cons: “That airline is awful. They charge do everything. So much for a discounted ticket. This ticket is an extra hundred bucks. I’m really pissed about it. Won’t be coming back”

Cons: “2 hrs delay and poor food selection”

Pros: “Clean, on time, good staff” Cons: “Baggage fees too high”

Pros: “On time, friendly crew and how helpful the crew was.” Cons: “I didn’t like that you had to buy soda. There wasn’t any entertainment.”

Has Anyone Canoed from St. Louis to New Orleans?

No locks and no dams if you start from St. Louis.

Starting at Baton Rouge which is about mm 230 (counts down to zero) you start seeing ocean going cargo ships. You’re still about 135 rivermiles to New Orleans. And from New Orleans, mm95, you’ve still got 95 miles to the famous signpost, mm 0. Which I have a picture of somewhere and definitely want to go back. MM 0 is basically where the river splits into 3 main channels to the ocean… and several smaller ones. You still have about 15 miles to go from there to the ocean. Which is worth the trip…

But in a canoe, you’d have a really tough time going all the way to the ocean. You’d have to then paddle upstream those 15 miles… and maybe 2-3 more, to the nearest town accessible by road. I believe this is Venice, LA and it’s where we pulled out after we tagged up at the ocean. But we were in a little motorboat.

I think it would definitely take longer than 2 weeks. Total distance from St. Louis is roughly 1250 miles. 3 weeks might work. Roughly 60 miles a day. You’d have days longer but you will surely have at least 1 or 2 days that you do much less if there are southerly winds.

But I don’t think you’d regret it!
