So this is coming from a reviewer standpoint, so keep in mind I do get more games than the average player, but last night was the first time I had to Quick Archive some of my games since I was running out of space. For reference, I have a 200GB micro SD card in there, and the only physical game I own is Zelda, everything else is digital. It seems like games started relatively small, but with publishers hopping on the Switch train, the sizes of games are getting bigger. My top biggest games right now are: RE Revelations 2 23.6GB, DOOM 21.3GB, FE Warriors 15.7GB, Skyrim 14.5GB, RE Revelations 1 12GB, DB Xenoverse 2 8.5GB. Those games alone are 100GB.

If you’re planning on going purely digital on the Switch, I’d say 200GB+ is a must. Thankfully, they’re often on sale, and even at the normal price, they’re not that ludicrously priced. Right now on Amazon, there’s one going for $72.

Edit: If only the VITA allowed standard micro SD cards instead of their proprietary crap, I’d be able to pretty much get my entire VITA library on it, along with all my PSX classics. So good on Nintendo for sticking to a popular card format.
