Anyways, I started to change the oil on my 04 TDI PD today and it seemed like something was a missing when I dropped the belly pan (yes, I am one of those bottom feeders). Low and behold I am missing what I believe to be is the drain plug for the DSG auto transmission. I have a rather large hole near the tranmission and I believe some people have drained their tranny fluid because it was so close to the oil pan.So this means I have be driving around for 5,000 plus miles with no plug. Of course, it could have be on there and just fell of recently but I am wondering if the idiots at the dealer did this the last time their change my oil. Oops, no one was looking so I will just throw the plug away and they will think it feel off by accident.This leads me to my question. How long would it take for an empty transmission to explode?Thanks in advance?Why am I worried? Take a look at pics of my trannyNotice something missing?
