Pokemon Go April 2022 Egg Chart: complete hatch list
Seasoned Pokemon breeders know that Egg hatching is a staple of the Pokemon experience, and in Pokemon Go you’ll be doing it more often than in the rest of the series. In fact, dealing with eggs is an absolutely core piece of Pokemon Go play.
In Pokemon Go, eggs are rewarded randomly to the player through visiting Pokestops throughout the world, being given gifts by your friends, or through Adventure Sync. Hatching eggs is a great way to farm candy and actually has a good chance of providing better Pokemon with better stats than you might find out in the wild. Some of the rarer Pokemon in the game are most easily obtained through hatching eggs, too. If a hatching Pokemon has a shiny form in the game, they too can hatch from eggs, by the way.
Pokemon Eggs are a mystery draw: you have no idea what you’re going to hatch until it hatches, though there are different types of egg in the game, which gives you a broad idea of what to expect in terms of both hatch time and the potential Pokemon inside.
In total, there’s different egg types based broadly on the distance you must walk to catch them – 2km, 5km, 7lm, 10km, and 12km. There are also some special forms of egg only obtained in certain ways – and they have slightly different hatch tables. Listing off an egg chart of all the Pokemon that can hatch from each type of egg is one of the purposes of this page. But first, let’s talk about how eggs work in more detail.
On this page, updated for June 2022:
Pokemon Go Egg Hatching: getting eggs, hatching eggs and speeding up hatching
As we mention above, Pokemon Eggs can be obtained in Pokemon Go through Pokestops, gifts from friends, defeating Leaders in battle, and adventure sync. The egg types are as followed, named after how far you must travel to hatch them: 2km, 5km, 7km, 10km, 11km, and 12km.
Most Pokemon Eggs are obtained through simply going to Pokestops and swiping them, as with other items. Some eggs are different, however. 7km eggs can only be obtained from gift packages sent by friends. Both 5km and 10km eggs can drop through Adventure Sync – but Adventure Sync eggs have a different hatch pool than the standard versions of these same eggs. The 12km ‘Strange Egg’ is a random drop from defeating a Team Go Rocket leader in battle, so long as you have enough space in your egg inventory.
You can only carry 9 Pokemon eggs at once – if you have 9 and find one at a Pokestop, you’ll be forced to leave it behind. None will drop from gifts at all if your egg inventory is full. You’ve been warned.
Once you have Pokemon Eggs, you hatch them by putting them into incubators – just touch an egg and then choose an Incubator to put it in. You’ve got one unlimited incubator that has endless uses (this is the orange one), and this incubator is best used to hatch those fast-hatching 2km eggs. You can buy other types of Incubator or get them as rewards – they have three limited uses, after which they’ll break. The regular Incubator (blue) hatches at normal speed, while the Super Incubator (purple) hatches 1.5 times faster – though some special events have increased these speeds further.
In order to hatch, all you need to do is walk with them in the incubator. Pokemon Go needs to be open, but you should consider turning on battery saving mode before slipping your phone into your pocket. You can also turn on Adventure Sync, which uses your phone’s built-in location tracking to feed information back to Pokemon Go. Egg hatching is also where the Pokemon Go Plus comes most in handy – you can use it to actually fully lock your phone and walk around while still racking up distance for Pokemon Go’s egg hatching – which in turn will save you a lot of battery.
Once you’ve walked the distance indicated by the egg name, a Pokemon will emerge. As you’d expect, rarer Pokemon come out of longer-distance eggs. Keep in mind if you’re cycling or riding as a passenger in a car that Pokemon Go only seems to track the distance traveled towards your egg hatching if you’re traveling at slower speeds – around 10mph or less.
Here’s what Pokemon can hatch from each egg type, listed in Pokedex order for each egg type. We’ll do our best to keep it up to date with patches and changes, which come in line with the season and other ongoing in-game events:

Common 12km Egg Spawns
All of the following Pokemon are relatively common spawns from 12km eggs. They are indicated by 1 egg icon out of 3 when you open the egg menu.
While some of these Pokemon can spawn in the wild, they’re still all very rare Pokemon. If you want to train any of these Pokemon, then hatching 12km eggs is the best way to earn candies.
Pawniard
Pawniard is a Dark/Steel Pokemon that evolves into Bisharp with 50 Pawniard Candies. These two Pokemon are unique in that they are the only Pokemon in the game who share this typing.
Bisharp has very strong stats, with a whopping attack stat of 232! This makes Bisharp a strong contender in battles, able to learn powerful Dark, Steel, Bug and Fighting-type moves.
Shiny Pawniard and Bisharp are both available in the game, with a blue appearance instead of the usual red. This makes hatching 12km eggs important for shiny collectors.
Larvitar
Larvitar is a fan favorite Rock/Ground Pokemon first introduced with Pokemon Gold and Silver. It can evolve into Pupitar, which can then evolve into the terrifying Tyranitar.
Tyranitar changes type on evolution, becoming the only Pokemon in the game with a Rock/Dark typing. This allows its powerful Rock and Dark type moves, like Stone Edge and Crunch, to do extra damage.
Trainers who want to enter the GO Battle League will want to get their hands on a Larvitar, as Tyranitar is an excellent choice in all leagues, including the Halloween Cup!
Scraggy
Scraggy is a Dark/Fighting Pokemon first introduced in Pokemon Black and White. It evolves into Scrafty with 50 Scraggy Candies.
Scrafty is an excellent choice to use in Pokemon battles, as it has excellent all-around stats. It is bulkier than other popular Fighting-type Pokemon such as Machamp.
It also learns the powerful Charge Moves Power-Up Punch and Foul Play, making it an excellent choice for trainers in the GO Battle League!
Vullaby
Vullaby is a Dark/Flying Pokemon that evolves into Mandibuzz with 50 Vullaby Candies. This cute vulture Pokemon is a popular choice in the GO Battle League, thanks to its excellent defense.
Vullaby and its evolution Mandibuzz share their typing with the popular Murkrow and Honchkrow. Unlike Murkrow and Honchkrow though, Vullaby and Mandibuzz have lower attack, but higher defense and stamina.
If you’re looking for a great Pokemon for the GO Battle League or to defend gyms, then look no further than Mandibuzz. If you want to get your hands on one, then hatching 12km eggs is the best way to go.
Rare 12km Egg Spawns
All of the following Pokemon are less common spawns from 12km eggs. They are indicated by 2 egg icons out of 3 when you open the egg menu.
Neither of these Pokemon are currently spawning in the wild, making 12km eggs the only way to obtain them. Therefore, if you want to get your hands on one of these rare Pokemon, you need to hatch some 12km eggs.
Sandile
Sandile is a Ground/Dark Pokemon that evolves into Krokorok and Krookodile. These Pokemon are unique because they are the only Pokemon in the game to ever share this type combination.
While Krookodile has quite low defense, it has good stamina and very high attack. This means it can fire off very strong attacks like Earthquake, Crunch, and Outrage!
Sandile is currently only spawning in 12km eggs, making it a very rare Pokemon. If you want to add Sandile to your collection, make sure you stock up on 12km eggs and incubators!
Pancham
Pancham is a Fighting-type Pokemon that was introduced with Pokemon X and Y. It evolves into Pangoro, a powerful Fighting/Dark Pokemon.
Pangoro has very high stamina and attack, making it a great contender for the GO Battle League. It can learn a wide range of moves, letting it deal out Fighting, Dark, Steel, and Rock-type damage.
To evolve your Pancham into Pangoro, you must catch 32 Dark-type Pokemon with Pancham as your buddy. You also need 50 Pancham Candies, so if you want a Pangoro, you need to hatch some 12km eggs!

Extremely Rare 12km Egg Spawns
All of the following Pokemon are the least common spawns from 12km eggs. They are indicated by 3 egg icons out of 3 when you open the egg menu.
Neither of these Pokemon are currently spawning in the wild, making 12km eggs the only way to obtain them. Therefore, if you want to get your hands on one of these rare Pokemon, you need to hatch some 12km eggs.
Absol
Absol is a powerful pure Dark-type Pokemon first introduced with Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Known as the disaster Pokemon, Absol appears when it senses a disaster is about to happen.
However, in Pokemon GO, you would be lucky to have this rare Pokemon on your team. Absol has extremely high attack and can learn a wide range of moves. With Dark, Psychic, Bug and Electric moves available, Absol is an excellent choice for raids and battles.
While Absol does not evolve, it has a Mega Evolution. This boosts its attack and defense even further, making Absol an excellent Pokemon for any trainer.
Deino
Deino is a Dark/Dragon type Pokemon that evolves into Zweilous and Hydreigon. This makes Deino one of the only Dragon Pokemon that can be obtained from a 12km egg!
While Deino takes a lot of candies to evolve, it’s worth it, as Hydreigon has extremely high stats all around. With amazingly powerful Dark and Dragon-type moves, Hydreigon is one of the best Pokemon available for raids.
While Deino can spawn in the wild, it’s a very rare spawn, making 12km eggs the best way to obtain one.
Skorupi
Skorupi is a Poison/Bug type Pokemon that was first introduced with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. It evolves into Drapion with 50 Skorupi Candies.
Drapion loses its Bug type and becomes a Poison/Dark type Pokemon. This is an excellent typing, giving it only one weakness – Ground types.
As Drapion can learn the powerful Water type Charged Move Aqua Tail, it can hit Ground types hard. This makes Drapion an excellent choice in the Pokemon GO Battle League!
Skrelp
Skrelp is a Poison/Water type Pokemon that evolves into Dragalge with 50 Skrelp Candies. This rare creature disguises itself as seaweed to avoid predators.
While Skrelp has very low stats all around, it’s still worth obtaining one. This is because it evolves into Dragalge, a powerful Poison/Dragon type Pokemon with high defense and stamina.
Dragalge can learn lots of different Poison, Dragon, and Water type moves. Because it can surprise your opponents, it’s an excellent choice in the Pokemon GO Battle League!
Salandit
Salandit is the newest available Pokemon in 12km eggs. It’s quickly become a fan favorite, and it’s easy to see why!
Salandit is a Poison/Fire type Pokemon that can evolve into Salazzle. However, only female Salandit can evolve, making Salazzle one of the rarest Pokemon in the game.
If you’re lucky enough to hatch a female Salandit, you can evolve one into Salazzle with 50 Salandit candies. Salazzle is an extremely powerful Pokemon in raids and the GO Battle League, with a high attack stat.
With the ability to learn powerful Poison, Fire, and Dragon type moves, you definitely want to get yourself a Salazzle. That’s why if you manage to hatch a female Salandit, count yourself very lucky!

Pokémon Go Egg charts: What’s in 2km, 5km, 7km, 10km and ‘Strange’ red 12km Eggs
Pokémon Go 2km Egg Chart The Pokémon available from 2km eggs changed on Tuesday, 1st March alongside the release of the Season of Alola. You can also now view which Pokémon can hatch from 2km eggs, including their rarity levels, simply by tapping the egg. New Pokémon are occasionally added to the 2km egg pool during an in-game event in Pokémon Go. When this occurs certain Pokémon in the standard 2km egg pool may switch tiers, so that it’s easier for players to hatch certain event related Pokémon. Once the event ends, the 2km egg pool, including the rarity tiers, return to normal. You can find all the confirmed non-event 2km Egg hatches below: Tier 1 Rarity: Poliwag (Gen 1)
Exeggcute (Gen 1)
Cubone (Gen 1)
Meditite (Gen 3)
Wailmer (Gen 3)
Pikipek (Gen 7)
Yungoos (Gen 7) Tier 3 Rarity: Barboach (Gen 3)
Chespin (Gen 6)
Fennekin (Gen 6)
Froakie (Gen 6) As well as the above Pokémon, you can now find a number of regional exclusive Pokémon in 2km depending on your region: Volbeat (Gen 3) – Tier 2 rarity
Illumise (Gen 3) – Tier 2 rarity
Pokémon Go 5km Egg Chart On Tuesday, 1st March, the pool for the 5km Eggs changed to coincide with the release of the Season of Alola. Tapping any 5km egg you own will now allow you to see which Pokémon can hatch from it, including the rarity levels for each one. It’s important to note that, during in-game events, 5km eggs have the chance of containing a Pokémon connected to that specific event and this will change the tiering of Pokémon which are not involved in the event. Togepi, for example, is a Tier 1 Pokémon for non-event 5km eggs, but, in the 5km eggs collected during an event, could be moved to Tier 4. This allows the event specific Pokémon to fill Tier One and Tier Three, making it easier for you to hatch these Pokémon. Here are the Pokémon, along with their associated tiers, which can be hatched from 5km eggs: Tier 1 Rarity: Tyrogue (Gen 2) Tier 2 Rarity: Seel(Gen 1)

Salandit (Gen 7) Thanks to Silph Road findings for helping fill in the gaps with the above charts, including the 12km Egg update. The Season of Go has arrived! The 6th Anniversary is here, which includes the return of Zapdos. While Go Fest 2022 may be behind us, there are still three special research quests you might be working on – Pokémon Go Fest 2022, Rhi’s Arrival and A Radiant World. This season has also seen the lowering of the requirement for Candy XL and introduced the first Ultra Beast, Nihilego.
Pokémon Go Egg hatching, and chances of hatching a specific Pokémon, explained On the surface, Eggs in Pokémon Go appear to simply be another way of randomly acquiring new Pokémon – but just like the mighty Magikarp, we shouldn’t judge Eggs by their seemingly ineffectual appearances. Eggs and hatching can still be an extremely useful tool for expanding your collection – or indeed powering up the Pokémon you already have. Aside from the Egg charts above, there is no way from the outset of knowing what might be inside the Egg. Additionally, the odds of catching each respective Pokémon are hidden from the player – something which the community has been asking for the game to disclose. With this in mind, know that the chances of catching each individual Pokémon within a pool is not the same as the rest – and they should be treated as blind loot boxes you see in other live service games.
