For anyone listening to this video on headphones, there is only the Left channel active. I watched it for a minute before I realized this fact.
Needle nosed pliers are a terrible idea. Just put on a pair of vinyl or nitrile gloves and use your hands so that you don't drop the membrane. I've been working on RO system for several decades. Don't open the bag until your ready to insert the membrane cartridge, and don't foul it by touching it with your bare hands. You want it to remain as sterile as possible. Using a water softener in conjunction with an RO will greatly extend the life of the RO unit. You should have a particulate filter in-line prior to your softener so that you're not fouling the resin beads in the softener with dirt or whatever else comes in with the water supply. You shouldn't touch ANY of the filter cartridges or the insides of the filter housing with your bare hands. Use food handling gloves or medical gloves and save yourself a lot of trouble. When you open the cartridges prior to installation, don't set them down on anything. Insert them directly into the housings! Think "sterile." Everything needs to be clean, and I cannot stress that enough.

You make it sound easy but the membrane housing cap (148) is too tight to move and you don't include a wrench for it
