This fix only works if your mirror stays attached and pionts downwards when bass hits.
remove mirror from windshield.
use a large screw, or bolt approx 3 inches long and a hose clamp big enough to fit around the mirrors mount arm and bolt.
undo the hose clamp and wrap it around the mount arm and bolt and start to tighten the clamp leaving it loose enought to adjust the bolt as needed. Now reattach the mirror to windshield. Now adjust the mirror to the needed usable spot… The bolt should be aligned directly underneath the arm at this point. Now adjust the bolt to where it touches the bottom of the rear of the mirror at the mirrors adjusted position. Now tighten the hose clamp. If done correctly the mirror will not go down for any reason due to the bolt hitting the rear of the mirror. Hope that makes sense…

otherwise, if it is simply mounted onto a piece of plastic with glue and then that piece is mounted onto the windshield with glue…you are srewed.

If you have a really loud car audio system installed into your car, then chances are going to be very high when you turn up the volume on the stereo that the rear view mirror vibrates and rattles. In some extreme cases it can actually fall off. If you have a really low tuned box with tons of power going to the subwoofers then its hard to avoid the rear view mirror from shaking and vibrating with the bass. The best way to fix the rear view mirror vibrations and rattling is to apply sound deadening to the top part of the vehicles roof. Once applied evenly, it will help absorb the vibrations from the bass to help stop your rear view mirror vibrating. If your mirror keeps falling off then the best way to secure it down is to use glue that sticks to glass. 1) The main area that you want to target is the metal panels that cover the top part of the car. The area were you should have a sunroof, if you don’t have one it means you got more area to cover which will help reduce rear view mirror vibrations far more better.
2) Take off any big or small plastic surround or trim panels found connected to the above section of the car. If you see any screws you will also need to remove them. Now remove the interior headliner carpet that is placed on the top part of the roof in your car.
3) Now that you have removed the carpet board you are now ready to apply sound deadening to the metal panel. Simply roll out the material onto a table and cut out approximately how much you need. If it comes already it flat sheets then thats made this part easier for you.
4) Place the sound deadening material directly onto the top part of the car and using a blade of some sort replicate the shape of the roof. Once you have done that, remove the peelable side and with the glue side facing upwards stick it onto the roof.
5) To ensure that it is securely installed go over it with your hand a couple of times to ensure it sticks properly. Now all you need to do is cover any more metal panel areas you see so that your vehicle is full sound deadening to perfection.
