Competitive Analysis
Howl is a status Normal-type move that raises the user’s Attack stat by one stage. It also raises its ally’s Attack stat in Doubles.
This move is useful if there are two physical attackers in the field as they will both get stat boosts once Howl is used, although this strategy is quite uncommon as Swords Dance is much more appealing especially for hyper-offensive Pokemon.
Utility Pokemon may see some use with this move while holding Throat Spray. It can raise its ally’s Attack stat while boosting its own Attack and Special Attack for any offensive moves it may use.
Do note that Howl cannot be used if the user is hit with Throat Chop.
Howl Locations
Howl is only available by Default, Level Up, or via Egg Move.
