The sign-up process: Choosing the right soap bar

I started my foray into organic soap by taking Dr. Squatch attended.

It is eight long, of which only two appear to refer to soap recommendations. (“What would you do if you met the squatch?”, for example.) Each question comes with a fun gif to make it worthwhile.

Will Dr Squatch lives up to its high standards? Do I currently smell like a champ?

The honest answer – yes.

I walked in skeptical, but within a week of using the Cedar Citrus Bar Soap, my skin felt noticeably healthier.

As I mentioned in my introduction, my arms usually flake like crazy even when it gets dry and cold.

The oatmeal sloughed off my dead skin cells while natural oils helped cleanse and moisturize my skin.

The soap lathers well but doesn’t get used to it too quickly. I’ve been using bar soap for years and have always been frustrated that a good lather came at the expense of using the bar in two weeks.

After a week, the Cedar Citrus shows hardly any signs of wear. It might be more accurate to call these soap blocks. You could build a house with these bad guys.

Cedar Citrus is my favorite but I can confirm the other scents lather just as well.

Another annoyance of mine is when bar soap smells nice but doesn’t transfer that smell to your skin. The natural oils and shea butter from Dr. Squatch nourish your skin and essentially provide you with essential oils.

The shampoo by Dr. Squatch comes in a surprisingly small bottle. At a hefty $20 price tag, I wanted to make sure it was good to the last drop.

Aside from the cost of a second, the Cypress Coast Shampoo smells amazing. It smells like the best parts of a crisp gin and tonic. I know this sounds weird, but trust me.

Although it is a small amount, the shampoo is enough. I have thick, thick hair. So much so that every barber I’ve ever had has commented on it.

The point is that I need a lot of shampoo to thoroughly clean my hair.

That is, until I used the squatch. With just a quarter-sized dollop, I can fluff my hair into a Ferris Bueler-style mohawk.

The lather feels unlike any other shampoo I’ve used. Instead of just feeling thick and soapy, my hair feels revitalized and my scalp tingles. I’m not sure what ingredients in the shampoo create that unique feeling, but I’m a huge fan.

The shampoo leaves my hair soft and sparkling clean. Other reviewers claim that the shampoo makes your hair thicker and fluffier, but I can’t confirm that point. I’m pretty sure my hair can’t get any thicker.

First of all I have to tell you that I can’t stand synthetic fragrances, stuff like clubbing scents or anything like or similar to Ax Body Sprays. All fragrances by Dr. Squatch smell natural and light and last all day.

It smells mainly of pine, but not too pine if you get my meaning. If you’ve previously used pine tar soap from the health food store, Dr. Squatch a million times better than that. It’s well blended and has a nice clean scent profile that softens the jaws and makes for a very refreshing masculine scent. This smells very natural and doesn’t offend you throughout the day.
