Are Gucci belts out of style?

As mentioned before, The Gucci Belt is just one example of a fashion trend that has fallen victim to the Fashion Cycle. It’s almost inevitable. However, it isn’t the piece that loses its chic, it’s the overall accessibility of the item that causes it to become “out of style”.

What is the most popular Gucci belt?

Generally people tend to go for the 4cm Gucci Leather Belt With Double G, this is the original and most popular Gucci belt, with a large buckle, but it isn’t too ‘in your face’ and a nice, wide leather belt, it fits within jeans but with a little squeeze.

Does every Gucci belt have a serial number?

The serial number is only an auxiliary measure to identify the Gucci belt’s authenticity; every Gucci belt has a unique serial number, especially the last set of characters. For example – the first 11 digits of the serial number ” 400593 AP00T” indicate Gucci’s brand-authorized supplier code for the specific style.

How many holes does a real Gucci belt have?

Some fakes have too much space between the letters. The ‘®’ character is too small on the fake vs real Gucci belt, and the ‘R’ inside the circle is too large as it hits the edges of the loop on the center. The real Gucci belts must have 5 holes. They will not drill holes in quality leather unless necessary.

How to check if Gucci belt is fake or real?

1、Packing box

Gucci uses an off-white shade for its boxes. There is a Gucci logo on the box, the text is very thin and precise. The fake Gucci boxes almost always have logos that fade on the corners.

2、Dust bag

1) Check the dust bag for the brand name in gold letters. All authentic Gucci belts should come in a dust bag. The older anthers are classic Gucci brown tied with a fine brown cord and have the brand name “GUCCI” in yellow gold letters down the center of the bag. In the upper right corner of the dust bag there should be a single string drawstring. All authentic recent Gucci belts must be shipped in an off-white dust bag.

2) There should also be a label on the inside of the dust bag that says “Gucci Made in Italy”. The fabric should be silk.

3) The dust bag should only have the label sewn on at the four corners – you can reach under the label with your finger from all sides. Fake anthers are usually fully sewn up the sides, making it impossible to put your finger through.

3. The receipt/proof of purchase

Ask for the original receipt. If you ordered your Gucci belt from somewhere other than a Gucci store or retailer, you should ask for the original receipt as proof of purchase, which greatly increases the authenticity of the product.

However, some sellers also provided fake receipts. A receipt for an authentic belt should include Gucci’s name at the top, the address of a verifiable Gucci store or outlet, including contact information, and the description/price of the belt in question.

4. The smell of Gucci belts

If the belt has a strong odor or even a noticeable odor, it means the leather has been sprayed and smells like real leather. It could have happened because they weren’t manufactured properly or were treated poorly after manufacture. The genuine Gucci belt has no strong or obvious odor when worn.

5. Material and leather

1) Gucci is known for its premium leather quality and craftsmanship. The genuine Gucci belt leather is of higher quality and has a more matte appearance than the fake belt leather. And the Monogram canvas versions should feature a streamlined GG pattern that begins with the double G logo. If you find tears or stitches in the middle of Gucci belts, it may be fake. Because the real belts were made by continuous pieces of leather.

2) Original Gucci belts are made with perfect craftsmanship. If you notice any fraying of the materials on the belt, it’s almost certainly a fake. I

6. The engraved “GUCCI” text

1) The real belt is marked with “GUCCI” logo and belt information. Some newer belts have the stamp near the buckle, while some of the older belts stamp the belt lengthwise toward the center. Some fakes don’t have any clues on the inside.

2) Check the text of “GUCCI”. Some fake Gucci belts have the text engraved differently. Some fakes have too much space between letters. The “®” mark on the fake vs real Gucci belt is too small and the “R” inside the circle is too big as it meets the edges of the center bow.

7. The holes

The real Gucci belts must have 5 holes. They will not poke holes in quality leather unless necessary.

8, GG buckle

1) The GG logo is the core element of the Marmont series. This iconic logo is used as the buckle in the Marmont Gucci belt. It is usually antique brass or bright gold colored and sometimes palladium colored.

Source: gucci.com

2) Fake GG logo often appears too shiny or orange and may look polished or lacquered. But the real Gucci belt looks a bit aged/tarnished. And the real Gucci belt buckles are heavy and thick compared to fake ones.

9. The screws

Most belt buckle models have screws on the back. Look for visible screws on the back of the belt buckle. When you buy a Gucci gold belt, also check the color of the screw. The color of the screws should also be gold, not silver.

When it comes to belt loops, be careful with screws. With Gucci belts, the loops are typically sewn in – this requires more work and well-trained hands. Most fake belts use screws to attach the loop to the belt body

10、GUCCI Made In Italy stamp

1) The back of all authentic Gucci belts will be marked with a “GUCCI made in Italy” stamp followed by an identification number including the correct size.

2) Newer versions of the belt and non-leather models have the logo stamp near the buckle. The font used in the stamp is Sans Serif font. Fake belts may lose the stamp or have strange or incorrect kerning in the text.

3) The entire back/inside of the belt should be suede, regardless of model. Newer reversible belts are of course excluded.

12. Gucci belt serial number

1) Every Gucci belt has a unique serial number, especially the last set of characters. Gucci places all serial numbers and codes inside the belt. An authentic Gucci serial number should be 19 to 21 digits long. Normally the number should start with “114” or “223”. If your number begins with “1212”, it is definitely a fake.

2) In the brand label, the first line indicates the style number of the belt, the second line indicates the style number. The third line indicates the size of the belt in centimeters or inches. The fourth row of numbers shows the supplier code.

For example – the first 11 digits of the serial number “400593 AP00T” indicate the Gucci authorized supplier code for that style. The third character set, “90. 36” indicates the SIZE length, 90 indicates the size in CM, the number 36 indicates the waist measurement in INCHES. The last character set represents the color; Gucci also uses 4 digits and 6 digits for the last set of serial numbers for certain items.

13. The seams

1) The genuine Gucci belt stitching is flawless and flawless. The real ones have shorter, thicker, more even stitches, while fakes use longer ones and don’t have tight stitches.

2) The seams of Gucci belts are perfectly aligned and parallel. If you see misaligned or imperfect stitching, it could be a fake Gucci belt.

3) The flap behind the buckle that holds the buckle to the belt is double stitched in 2 areas to keep it secure. Also the flap that attaches the end tip to the belt (which is leather on Gucci belts) and metal on some others is double stitched about 6 times to keep it secure.

14、 Beware of low prices

Gucci belts don’t come cheap, when you come across Gucci belts at very low prices you should assume you are in front of a specimen.

The most iconic handbag collaborations of all time

Only designer bags are better than coveted handbags. Although these creative combinations often exist for business-boosting reasons, these art-meets-fashion bag collections are iconic labors of love and a must-have for any designer handbag collector. These co-branding projects challenge tradition and inspire brands, artists and designers to create fresh and innovative products. In a bursting market, this is not only what it takes to stand out, but also what fashion needs to stay relevant in an increasingly competitive world. From the exemplary Prada and Damien Hirst ‘Entomology’ collaboration to the classic Louis Vuitton and Jeff Koon collections, these duos transcend fashion seasons and become historical collectibles. We unveil the stories behind the best bag collaborations of all time. Louis Vuitton X Supreme In 2000, Louis Vuitton sued the legendary American skateboard and apparel brand for appropriating its signature Louis Vuitton monogram logo. However, almost 2 decades later, the fashion giants came together to create one of the most monumental collaborations in history! They produced a range of different items from handbags to skateboard trunks. Of course, each piece featured a unique blend of logos, signature colors and craftsmanship that each brand is famous for. This designer duo later turned out to be an important catalyst between high fashion and streetwear. Talk about iconic! Prada X Damien Hirst We’re getting nervous about this next piece, and not just because it’s a pretty handbag! In 2013, Miuccia Prada and Damien Hirst collaborated to create a bug bag (yes, you read that right!). Inspired by insect paintings, the Entomology handbag collection is adorned with thick bugs and gemstones encased in plexiglass. There are only 20 entomology bags in the collaboration, ever. Each was sold for charity via a silent auction on October 9-10, 2013. The proceeds benefited the non-profit organization ROTA (Reach Out To Asia). This collaboration also characterizes the “Relics” exhibition. This is a major retrospective spanning 27 years of Hirst’s career and is being held at the Qatar Museums Authority. The bags addressed the fragility of life. Each creation sees an iconic Prada silhouette encased in plexiglass and preserved insects floating in between. We are obsessed with this bug bag! Gucci X Trevor Andrew Another iconic collaboration with a rich history. In 2013, urban artist “Trouble Andrew” spray-painted his own version of the Gucci logo over his hometown of Brooklyn while dressed fully in Gucci apparel. His tag #GucciGhost soon caught the attention of the likes of Alessandro Michele, who flew him to the fashion capital of Milan to discuss collaborating on Gucci’s fall collection. The Gucci X #GucciGhost collaboration allowed Trevor Andrew to take the fashion house’s signature double G along with a range of eye-catching motifs such as stars and ghosts (of course) and graffiti them across a range of handbags, shoes and more paint clothes. Rebellious, young, naïve and even revolutionary, these standout pieces had the likes of Beyoncé raving about them. During her Formation Tour, the star wore a scarlet fur coat personalized with Trevor “Trouble” Andrews artwork. Louis Vuitton X Jeff Koons By now you’ve noticed that Louis Vuitton has been known for its iconic collaborations over the past several decades. However, the next one has got to be one of the top designer handbag collaborations of ALL TIME. Koon is a popular contemporary artist from New York City. He brought his most recent Gazing Ball Paintings, a series of large-scale hand-painted reproductions of Old Masters works, into a variety of Louis Vuitton handbags. These include recreations such as Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Titian’s Mars, Venus and Cupid, Fragonard’s Girl with a Dog, Van Gogh’s Wheatfields and Cypresses and Rubens’ Tiger Hunt. Additionally, this work has been carried over to iconic Louis Vuitton silhouettes such as the Speedy, the Keepall and the Neverfull. It also includes bold embellished text, each with the original artist’s name. Each piece is finished with a leather tag in the shape of an inflatable rabbit. This is a recurring motif in Koon’s best-known works. Best of all, however, it reflects both the visual breadth of the canon of art history and the interconnectedness of artists who have worked across the centuries. By now depicting these acclaimed pieces on LV bags and boldly emblazoned with the original artist’s name, Koons once again invites viewers to revisit these works, opening the museum to the world and encouraging us to explore the Old Masters in new ways to experience . Jimmy Choo X Rob Pruitt Pop, Prints and Pandas! The Spring/Summer 13 Capsule Cruise Collection is all about fun. Jimmy Choo received a pop art makeover by artist Rob Pruitt in 2013. Needless to say, this collaboration was nothing short of iconic. Everything about this limited collection screams young and fresh, with a variety of different colours, prints and patterns. Rainbow colored accessories and animal prints with a resounding panda theme. Let’s face it, only a respected designer brand like Jimmy Choo could pull this off! Despite being a footwear-centric collection, the standout pieces were undoubtedly the angel and devil panda minaudières, encrusted with hundreds of Swarovski crystals. These caricatures and colors perfectly sum up Pruitt’s signature style. From insanely funky to more understated exotic prints, this collection definitely added spice to the Jimmy Choo brand and we’ve loved them ever since! There’s nothing like a simple belt to make you look and feel together. But look at any men’s lifestyle blog or fashion magazine, and you’d think that finding the right thing and wearing it right is a sacred art, lest, heaven forbid, you violate an unwritten, esoteric one breaking the fashion rule.

Well, with all the seemingly random commandments the fashion world loves to throw at us every now and then, you might be surprised that there isn’t that much behind it. For a grown-up look, especially in workwear, it should always be plain leather with an equally plain buckle.

Below is a guide to the best men’s belts.

How to choose the best belt for you

But while we can all agree that studded belts and giant novelty buckles should stay where they belong in the early 2000s, if you want more statement, you can get away with something flashier by just adding an element or two emphasize – This is as close as an article on men’s belts will get to the ‘smoky eye or statement lip’ debate, FYI.

You can also afford a little more latitude for casual outfits: think a canvas strap or a more adventurous shade to show off those summer chinos.

Always match your belt and shoes – that’s just good taste. Wear it just above your hips to avoid that wedged look, and make sure you don’t wear it so tight that your pant hems swing high above your shoes.

Your pants should be able to stand up unaided (if they don’t, you need new pants, not a new belt), but consider it a helping hand throughout the day to ensure you stay in your sixteen don’t channel-year-old me and offer the public a flash of your unmentions. And hey, that’s it! Not too painful, right?

When it comes to our selection, Italy tops the battle for the belts, with luxury offerings from Versace and Ermenegildo Zegna and a wildcard casual option from Diesel, closely followed by British-cool offerings from London-based Tom Ford and Aspinal.

Essentially, though, there’s something for every budget, so sit back, buckle up, and read on for our list of the best.

This minimalist belt forgoes the traditional wraparound buckle for a simple T-bar design that might feel a bit odd if you’re not used to it, but offers a slimmer profile and a subtle twist to the overall look that maintains that otherwise classic look belt from looking stuffy. A real investment accessory, with noticeable quality and durability.

2. Leather belt from Polo Ralph Lauren A neat entry-level belt that goes with most dress pants Specifications Best for: Smart wear Type: Tongue buckle Material: Leather Size: 85-115 cm Reasons for buying + Classic look + Value for money -Ratio Reasons to avoid – A little on the small side Today’s best deals View at ASOS (UK) (opens in a new tab) View at very.co.uk (opens in a new tab) At Watch John Lewis (opens in a new tab)

At about a tenth the price of some of our high-end picks, this Ralph Lauren number is fantastic value for a designer belt. Of course, by forgoing the loud logos and bolder design cues of some designer options, there’s not much to suggest it is, but who cares? It’s a nice looking leather belt. A word of caution: reviewers found their usual belt sizes bizarrely small, so we recommend sizing up.

3. ASPINAL OF LONDON Classic men’s belt An excellent all rounder made from sumptuous leather Specifications Best for: All round Type: Tongue buckle Material: Full grain/nubuck leather Size: 80-105cm Reasons to buy + Nice quality leather + High end details Reasons to avoid – Soft Leather tends to mark today’s best deals.

In rich cognac or classic black, it goes with just about anything. So when you combine this timeless look and quality finish, we think you have a lucrative investment.

4. Ermenegildo Zegna Reversible Belt Forge your own path with this men’s reversible belt Specifications Best for: Versatility Type: Tongue Buckle / Reversible Material: Leather Size: 85-115cm Reasons to Buy + Reversible design + Unusual D-ring buckle Reasons to avoid – Some may prefer a classic buckle shape. If you’ve been eyeing that Gucci belt on eBay but still not sure if it’s real, it’s time to put an end to your confusion.

While we recommend buying belts from authorized retailers like Nordstrom and Farfetch, below are nine ways you can easily tell a fake Gucci belt from a real one.

1. Check the packaging

One of the things you need to know about Gucci is that they use an off-white shade for their boxes. If your box looks a little too stark white, you’ve probably bought a fake.

Another thing to note is that fake Gucci boxes almost always have logos that fade on the corners. The Gucci logo is very thin and precise, making it a great litmus test when you have quality packaging in your hands.

A Gucci belt stacked on top of one another: but can you tell which ones are real?

The dust bag should only have the label sewn on at the four corners – you should be able to reach under the label with your finger from all sides.

Fake anthers are usually fully sewn up the sides, making it impossible to put your finger through. The fabric should be silk.

It is important to know that older dust bags come in the classic Gucci brown. The tag is in gold and perfectly centered on the bag. In both variants, the drawstring must be positioned in the upper right corner. Inside should be a label that says “Gucci made in Italy.”

2. Know a quality buckle when you see one

Watch out for unnecessary gaps in your “GG” logo belts

Gucci has taken a much more frivolous direction in recent years, so pinning down a list of classic materials in their repertoire is pointless. Instead, you need to know the quality of their products with all five senses.

The first thing to pay attention to is the quality of the buckle. For details with overlapping metal (like the double-G belt), the spacing between pieces should be tight.

Fake and knocked-off buckles are usually sloppy with the fit and attachment of the pieces. Look for gaps between the metal where there shouldn’t be.

Familiarize yourself with Gucci’s signature leather hot stamping

Another thing to note is that quality buckles are heavy and bulky. The design should be clearly defined and precise with almost no errors.

The locking pin on the back of the buckle is usually smaller and more delicate than imitations. There should be no paint chipping anywhere on the buckle.

3. Examine the textures

Fake belts, like the real thing, also use heat stamps to mark the leather. According to general observation, genuine Gucci originals are more generous and detailed with leather markings.

However, this observation is not conclusive. Gucci also produces belts without markings, as well as quilted and embossed. We recommend comparing the belt tags of the model you want to buy with images from the Gucci official website.

In addition, Gucci belts are made of one continuous piece of leather or fabric. Be careful if you find breaks or stitches in between.

4. Know your serial numbers

Model Shanina Shaik wears a Gucci belt with baggy pants on August 17, 2018 in West Hollywood

In the past, counterfeiters would take a series of numbers and stick them on all of their fake Gucci products. Today they copy the exact serial numbers of certain models to put on their counterfeit goods. Don’t fret – the serial code is still a great way to tell the fakes from the real ones.

Even if the numbers aren’t as reliable as they used to be, the way they’re stamped on the belt can be a surefire sign. Counterfeit serial numbers are usually longer and placed farther from the belt loop. The real ones usually look smaller and are placed much closer to the loop.

Stitch Perfection: Luxury belts like Gucci’s have no room for error

On older Gucci belts, the serial numbers are stamped horizontally down the middle. Visit Gucci stores and compare the details with the original belt.

5. The seams should be flawless

It’s harder to spot bad stitching on belts because not much stitching is done. Real belts have shorter, even stitches, while fakes use longer ones that don’t look as tight. In addition, the thread in real belts is usually thicker.

The stitches are usually done close to the edges. There should be no fraying on any part of the belt.

6. Don’t let the price fool you

We know how exciting it is to see a Gucci belt for a fraction of the cost. Before you convince yourself that the seller has reasons to sell $500 for $30, take our advice: click the x sign in your browser tab.

Gucci respects their leather – no holes are punched where they are not needed

Stay away from Gucci belts, which are ridiculously cheap. Period. Also, keep an eye out for products with high inventory levels.

7. Be careful with screws

One beautiful thing about Gucci craftsmanship is their respect for leather. They will not punch holes in quality leather unless absolutely necessary.

All Gucci designs are uploaded in HD photos online

Watch out for screws on belt loops. With Gucci belts, the loops are typically sewn in – that means a lot more work and a practiced hand. Most fake belts use screws to attach the loop to the belt body.

8. Compare, compare, compare

Gucci is pretty generous when it comes to uploading HD photos to their website. When in doubt, examine each and every corner of the belt by going to Gucci’s official website.

While this is a great way to tell a genuine from a fake, we still recommend using your other senses to familiarize yourself with luxury goods. Knowing the smell and feel of real products is a huge benefit over just looking at them online.

9. Be vigilant.

Choose your sellers wisely – read reviews, ask for recommendations from friends, etc. If you can ask the sellers questions directly, ask as many as you can.

Of course, nothing beats buying direct from Gucci and other officially affiliated stores. But if you’re looking for genuine Gucci products for a minor dent in your wallet, follow our tips and you’ll be adding to your authentic Gucci collection in no time.

Does Gucci put holes in belts?

The belt comes with 5 holes, but you can have more holes added at your local leather shop, or DIY with this tool.

Gucci Belt Sizing Guide And Review

sizing

The belt comes with 5 holes, but you can add more holes at your local leather shop or DIY with this tool.

I honestly have no idea what size I got in the black version. I think it was maybe a 95 or 100? This was at the time when they were very hard to find so I bought them as soon as my local Gucci store had one in stock. The black belt was still a little too big. Gucci added 2 holes for me back then but they don’t do that anymore. Even with the extra holes, so I took it to Deno’s in Dallas and they ended up cutting 3 inches off. The only downside was that they had to be cut at the base where the logo is (not at the end of the belt) so I lost all the stamps with the serial number, size etc. This would only be a disadvantage if you plan on reselling as there really is no way to guarantee authenticity at this point. But I plan on keeping mine forever, so I didn’t mind.

I bought my brown belt (exactly the same style) last June in a size 85 and had the Gucci store add 2 extra holes. This has not been trimmed but is 1 inch longer than the black version. If available, I would have chosen 80 because that would have been the best fit. But I love that with added belt holes I can wear jeans lower on the waist or high on top with skirts/dresses. It adds versatility to the belt, which is great since it’s an investment.

I wear jeans size 25/26 and think the 80 would fit best. But really, if you buy a bigger one, you can fit it to your waistline with minor adjustments, no matter what. Gucci also has a size chart on their website for your reference.

How do you read a Gucci date code?

Unlike many of its luxury designer counterparts, Gucci does not include date codes that can decipher the year a bag was made. A visually similar offering by Gucci is the inclusion of a standard serial number. This non-unique number will appear on many bags from the same batch – or series.

Home Popular Pages Is my Gucci bag real?

Is my Gucci bag real?

All true handbag lovers know the devotion of the hunt – and the thrill of finding the perfect designer handbag, at the right price, at exactly the right time. So when you finally find the black Gucci Marmont with pearl embellishment or the Gucci Dionysus with the color combination of your dreams, you don’t have to worry about authenticity anymore.

The number one recommendation to ensure your bag is authentic is to only buy from reputable resellers who offer a guarantee of authenticity. There is; However, there are some quick pointers when it comes to authentic Gucci handbags that can help you determine if what you currently have at home is in fact an authentic Gucci model.

hardware

As with most luxury handbags, the hardware of an authentic popular Gucci handbag can be a quick sign of its legitimacy. While there are many things to consider, the first and most basic is the weight of the hardware. It should feel solid and substantial. If the hardware feels flimsy or light at all, chances are that’s a sure sign of a fake Gucci bag.

The zippers are another key element to look out for. When the Gucci bag has a metal zipper, it is flat and neatly engraved with the GUCCI trademark; all in capital letters and with each letter equally spaced. The underside of their zippers is often branded as well, simply with GUCCI clearly written.

For bags with the characteristic Gucci leather tassel, such as B. in the Gucci Soho collection, the connecting rings should all be complete circles with no gaps. The tassel hardware features a button at the top that runs through a diagonal line.

Brand Details

As a luxury brand that only supplies the best products, it is very important that the stitching is consistent, clean and even throughout the bag. Overall, precision will play a major role. The classic GG monogram bags in particular have an expected consistency. The GG pattern should be evenly spaced across the pocket, and the Gs should be oval (as opposed to round) with visible serifs. The left G is forward facing, while the right G is mirrored and then reversed.

Another place where the GGs come into play heavily is in the popular Soho bag range. Although not true of the much larger models, the interlocking GG symbol in many of the Soho Discos and Soho Shoulder Bags is almost exactly 12cm.

serial number

Unlike many other luxury designers, Gucci does not include date codes that can decipher a bag’s year of manufacture. A visually similar offering from Gucci is the inclusion of a standard serial number. This ambiguous number appears on many pouches of the same lot – or series. You can find this 10-13 digit number on the semi-rectangular leather tag found inside Gucci bags, usually near the inside zip pocket. There will never be any letters in this serial number. The font isn’t overly modern, and the numbers have serif detail. Often listed in two lines one above the other, the rows of numbers are not lined up in perfect formation.

On the opposite side of the label, the word GUCCI is embossed in capital letters with a trademark symbol and the words “Made in Italy” underneath. The G is rounded in the same way as the CC, while the U is thicker on the left and thinner on the right.

On vintage bags from the ’90s, the leather labels were rounded on the sides, unbranded, and had “MADE IN ITALY” written in capital letters.

QR (Quick Response) codes

QR codes are a more recent addition to Gucci bags in the fight against counterfeiters, which is estimated to have started in 2016/2017. These codes provide a type of barcode containing relevant information and can be scanned on your smartphone (methods vary depending on the type of smartphone used) to ensure the handbag’s authenticity. Similar to Gucci serial numbers, these QR codes are not unique. They are on a small black fabric loop in your Gucci bag. The code is clearly printed with white writing and a 10-digit code. There are no seams on the fabric.

Where are Gucci belts made?

The Gucci sticker includes a serial number and the textual phrase: “Made in Italy”. The serial number on the original Gucci belts has 21 digits. Many fake (Chinese) Gucci belts have serial numbers beginning with 1212.

Gucci Belt Sizing Guide And Review

When we buy designer clothes and accessories (e.g. Gucci), we do so with the belief that we are acquiring something of quality and that we will reap the benefits. These advantages include comfort, originality and durability.

Gucci belts are in great demand and not exactly cheap. It is very important that we know how to distinguish an original Gucci belt from a fake (which unfortunately abounds) and have no difficulty with these imitations.

After the jump, read more tips from DSCENE Fashion Editors:

The first thing you need to know is that Gucci belts go through multiple quality checks and imitations do not. Because of this, a fake Gucci belt almost always has slight imperfections that can be seen with the naked eye: the stitching is fraying, the surface looks rough, the sticker looks blurry, or there isn’t even a sticker (which has a serial number contains).

THE MOST IMPORTANT FIRST: THE OUTSIDE POCKET

Original Gucci belts always come with their own factory bag.

This bag is dark brown and the details of the brand are printed with great sharpness and without stains.

The Gucci logo is prominently featured with a double G (one reversed and the other regular) all along the bag.

The bag is tied with a fine brown cord.

The brand is printed in gold in the center of the original bag: Gucci.

Inside the bag should be a tag that reads “Gucci. Made in Italy”.

Be wary if the bag is blurry, poor quality, if it’s not dark brown, or if the cord looks damaged.

THE INSIDE POCKET

The inside pocket is dark brown like the outside pocket, is made of fabric and has a cord at the top right. This bag has the word Gucci printed in gold.

GUCCI RECEPTION

If the Gucci belt is purchased from an authorized retailer or branded store, the receipt will include Gucci’s name and address. Gucci belts can often be bought from resellers, in which case it is also possible to request the original receipt.

THE BELT

After checking the details above, we will look at the strap.

Let’s remember that Gucci invests time and resources to achieve a perfect fit. The manufacturing process of a Gucci belt is subject to multiple quality controls, making it very unlikely that a genuine Gucci belt will fail.

The seams of Gucci belts are perfectly aligned and parallel. If we see misaligned or imperfect stitching, we could be dealing with a fake Gucci belt.

The belt and buckle surfaces are smooth with no damage or cracks. Once again, the comprehensive quality control of this famous manufacturer prevents us from receiving defective products.

THE LEAK

Gucci belt buckles and straps are welded to the belt body. Some original Gucci belts will show screws on the back of the buckle and others will not.

When we appreciate that the buckle is held by a hook, anchor or buckle, we are dealing with a fake Gucci belt.

THE GUCCI STICKER

The Gucci label is typical and is found on the inside of the original Gucci belts. On belts, a few years ago the sticker was located in the middle of the belt, while on modern versions it is closer to the buckle.

The Gucci sticker contains a serial number and the text sentence: “Made in Italy”.

The serial number on the original Gucci belts has 21 digits. Many fake (Chinese) Gucci belts have serial numbers starting with 1212.

Most original Gucci belts start with series 223 or 114.

The letters on the sticker are sharp and will not be peeled off.

MORE DETAILS TO NOTE

Gucci belts don’t come cheap, when you come across Gucci belts at very low prices you should assume you are in front of a specimen.

There are many imitation Gucci belts, many of them from Asian countries and some of them are very well made but always have details that we can recognize.

Gucci Belt Sizing Guide And Review

To get the most out of your menswear shopping, you need to buy items that will stand up to repeated wear and continue to look good – and that applies to accessories as much as it does to a complete garment. Belts in particular should be both functional and stylish, so quality is the top priority! Today we’re going to dissect 6 popular brands to see what’s inside and which are the best investments.

*Note: Be sure to watch today’s video to understand all the nuances of the deconstruction process!

Video Transcript [edited slightly for clarity]:

Sven Raphael Schneider: Welcome back to the Gentleman’s Gazette and our “Cutting it apart” series. In today’s video, we’re going to cut apart $2,000 worth of belts. Why? Well, you don’t have to. We’ll explore what you get when you buy a $790 belt, right through to a $84 belt on sale at Allen Edmonds.

We dissect a Hermes belt for $790, a Fort Belvedere belt for $240, a Brooks Brothers belt for $98, a Montblanc belt for $320-$400, a Gucci belt that retails for $490 and an Allen Edmonds belt that retails for $120, but I think on sale they’re more of an $80-$84 range.

$2,000 worth of belts that we’re going to cut apart.

buckles

Allen Edmonds

Let’s take a quick look at the buckles first, and then cut the leather apart. First Allen Edmonds. It is a traditional belt buckle sewn on that can be removed. Here it is a belt loop. But the buckle comes straight out.

It says “solid brass” and then “aman row”. A MAN. Aman series. Solid brass. You can see that here is basically the plating, and that is the buckle of the Allen Edmonds belt.

A closer look at Allen Edmonds’ belt buckle.

Gucci

Well on the Gucci belt here you can see we have the original part here. It’s all brand new Gucci Made in Italy. Let’s cut it apart. Heavy, heavy buckle. Seems like solid brass too and a pretty good weight. You can tell it’s solid. Much better than the Allen Edmonds buckle. It’s definitely a thicker, thicker coating.

Solid brass Gucci belt buckle with thick plating.

Brooks Brothers

Next we have the Brooks Brothers buckle. Now it says: “Made in Italy”. I don’t know if it’s brass or what it is. Now you can actually see that I’m cutting into the buckle. And it stays all silver. There’s no brass getting through.

Raphael scratches the surface of the Brooks Brothers buckle.

Fort Belvedere

Here we have a Fort Belvedere buckle and one of the things we’ve done to our buckles that a lot of people don’t is we chose an extremely thick palladium and gold plating that’s 10 times thicker than that, what you usually get. Just so it lasts. Well, what that also means is – palladium is expensive and gold is also very expensive, so it’s just, yes, a very expensive buckle.

Solid brass. Made in Italy. Should accompany you for a long time. Different men wear buckles differently depending on how much they sweat. And often cheaper buckles show their age after a while. That shouldn’t be the case with these buckles. They should last a very long time.

Fort Belvedere buckles feature a durable palladium or gold plating that is 10 times thicker than usual.

Hermes

Well, here we have the Hermes buckle. Individually costs $335. The belt costs $455, I think. So a total of $790. It is very nicely finished. You can see that it is matte on the back and glossy on the side. Looks like a nice piece. It says “Made in France”. Looks like it’s all silver. There is no information on their website as to what exactly they have.

The Hermes buckle with a matte finish on the back and a shinier finish on the front.

Belt

Mont-Blanc

Next we cut the belts apart. The Montblanc belt here, I lost the buckles. I’ve had them for years. You can see I wore it. It even opened by itself just by wearing it. And when I had that experience, it was like I wanted belts that didn’t just do that. But I want belts that really hold up. So that was my inspiration for the Fort Belvedere beltline.

And you can see here that this one opens on its own very easily because the thread just isn’t that thick. That’s it. Two layers of leather. One here is the upper leather. It’s like an embossed croc calf. And then, down here, it’s a thicker leather. It’s the inner lining.

Even before the belt was cut apart, the Montblanc leather belt was already separating between the layers. The Montblanc belt is easy to separate because the threads are not that thick.

You can see, at the edge, it’s thinned out at the edge here. Thinner at the edge here and here. It looks like beautifully tanned leather – aniline dyed. You can see it’s a bit darker in the center than on the outside. But it seems to be a pretty good leather.

I mean, over time you can see how it’s aged, right? The leather was actually good. What wasn’t good was the seams and that’s where they came apart and that’s why I was able to pull it apart so easily.

The Montblanc leather belts are aniline dyed.

If you look at the belt, it also flexes a bit. You can see the curve, it curves up. That’s usually something you get with belts, especially cheaper belts. When you wear them, they really create a kind of curve.

I mean, just look at this one, for example. You can really see the curvature of the belt. This is Allen Edmonds’ belt. And usually – I don’t know. Hallmark of a not so expensive belt, I would say.

A closer look at the top layer of leather on the Hermes belt.

Allen Edmonds

Next here is Allen Edmonds. You can see here on the edge that it’s edge painted. The Montblanc has also been lacquered around the edges in a matching color of the leather. This is significantly darker.

Just cut through the leather here. So you can see what’s out there and I’ll try to separate the layers just like Montblanc. So it seems like the Allen Edmonds, just like the Montblanc, has a very simple construction. They basically have two layers of leather, right? They are simply cut off at all ends, thinned out at the edge, and then sewn together. Same construction.

The two-layer construction of the Allen Edmonds belt

Well, the Montblanc wasn’t really glued in between. It was floating. The Allen Edmonds, on the other hand, is glued in between. I think the difference is that if you don’t have glue in there to begin with, the glue can loosen and bulge over time. It may never show. But glue is fine. It’s not a sign of poor quality or anything like that.

Now I’m just going to try to separate these layers here. There you are. You can see here that I’m moving. And in fact, the stitch density is so strong that I don’t take off this part. So I have to cut it separately.

The Allen Edmonds belt has a high, strong gauge.

You can also see that there is another layer of black in the middle of the belt, which is probably just to make it a bit thicker. Otherwise, you have this other piece of leather here. They were broguing and had glue on the inside.

Perhaps to make Allen Edmonds’ belt thicker, a black layer is added in the middle.

Leather quality feels a bit cheaper overall I have to say. The exit is fine. There’s some wax in here. It’s okay for a belt, but nothing special either.

Brooks Brothers

Let’s look at this one. Brooks Brothers belt. Kind of an interesting dark layer and then the light layer. Although, from the front, I think you can tell this is a uniform brown because it’s kind of a finished brown. But you wouldn’t expect something that dark underneath.

Let’s cut it diagonally here. You can really see the black and white. So over time you align as that top layer wears away, it’s obviously a pigment dyed leather. You will actually see something black underneath which looks kinda weird. I don’t even know if it’s full grain leather or more of a leather product. It doesn’t seem to have been the highest quality material.

The dark layer of the Brooks Brothers belt

So these are the Brooks Brothers. You can see that it is edge painted. This is the brown leather upper. Looks like full grain leather. Not like a leather product. The bottom layer here, the lining leather, looks odd. I would have to test it in the lab to tell you exactly what it is. But this is not the highest quality leather, let me tell you.

Of course, as you know, even with $98 you can have different expectations. But again up here you can see that once the top comes off you see a lighter color.

When the top layer is peeled off, it reveals a lighter color underneath.

Sometimes when you want to create a certain effect on the top, where you almost want to look into the leather, the bottom has to be lighter, like in this case, doesn’t it? You wouldn’t get this effect if everything underneath was the same color.

So this is not necessarily a quality issue. You can have leather that is darker on top than on the bottom. But when you have this pigmented leather, like this, where it’s really just a uniform layer of paint on something, that’s usually done to hide something underneath.

Hermes

Now let’s look at the Hermes belt here. So you can see an original Hermes. All around very nice mesh density. It was definitely better than the Brooks Brothers and the Allen Edmonds.

You can see here that everything is sewn very neatly and here it is also edge painted. You can see it’s a bit thicker up here. So let’s try to take that apart.

The Hermes belt is finely stitched and slightly thicker than other brands.

Again, this costs around $455. But it’s not like you can just buy it separately. The whole belt was about $790 I think. So now you can clearly see three layers of leather. Therefore, you usually have more layers of leather with a higher quality belt.

Hermes leather is very beautiful. You can see they have that kind of burned top. It’s imprinted on it. So when you buy a Hermes product, you usually get a quality leather. They also pay a very high price. But at least you don’t get crap.

The three layers of leather in a Hermes belt

In that regard, check out our Is it worth it? Louis Vuitton video. By the way, we also started cutting shoes apart. So you can check that out and see what you find there.

Okay, so you can see this is this leather right here. Pretty much aniline-dyed – the top leather. It is a double sided belt. But yes, good decent quality.

A closer look at the top layer of leather on the Hermes belt.

It’s not the same color. But even here you can’t always have the effect. And then this middle layer is so gray that has a glue or primer texture on top. You won’t see any glue residue like with the Allen Edmonds, for example. Clear difference here, right?

So you go through with it. Let’s see if we can separate these two layers here. They are also edge painted. So you can see that the thick layer in the middle is the thickest; it gives the belt its thickness. But they are glued and sewn together, but they are glued very carefully and thinly.

Unlike the Allen Edmonds belt, the Hermes belt has no visible glue residue.

Good Hermes. Triple layer belt. Two types of embossed leather. aniline dyed. In addition, a kind of greyish leather in the middle. It’s black on one side, just like what we saw here on the inside of Allen Edmonds’ belt.

In terms of thickness, this is thinner as there are three layers. The lining is thinner there. The processing is neat. But anyway the edge is cut here and then edge painted. Just like an Allen Edmonds belt, or like a Brooks Brothers or Montblanc belt. So far, all belts have the same edge coating.

Fort Belvedere

Now let’s look at the Fort Belvedere belt. I mean from the start as you can see here these are made in Portugal. The lining leather comes from Italy. The top layer comes from Germany from alpine cows, which have fewer buck bites. This is how you simply get perfectly grained leather. It’s all super open-pored, aniline-dyed. It’s not embossed or anything where it doesn’t hide anything. It’s all quality skin you get.

The Fort Belvedere belt is made with leather from Italy and Germany.

We have embossed the leather on the inside, because if you have a belt on the inside, you automatically have wrinkles. And if you pre-emboss the leather, it will crease there and not randomly elsewhere. So that was the thinking behind it. Even from the outside you can see that the leather is quite thick. It’s a lot stiffer. And you can see it has double folded edges.

If you cut it through you will see that there are many more layers. Maybe you’ll see it better if we cut it at an angle. This is the lining leather. Then it’s another liner in the middle. Something else in the middle, no liner. And then the outer layer. So you have five layers of leather. This is definitely the most complex belt we’ve seen to date.

Five layers of the Fort Belvedere belt. The edges of the Fort Belvedere belt are thinned and folded – not simply cut and painted.

Also, here’s where you saw the edges where we got the folded edges; Unlike everyone else, the edges had painted edges where they just cut something out and then put paint on it to finish it off. This is the actual leather. It is only thinned and folded at the edges. So the making of this Fort Belvedere belt is much more complex than any other belt we have seen here.

We also do this with our wallet and you can see how we cut apart a Fort Belvedere wallet in this video. One thing that was really important to me was that with a Fort Belvedere product, we make everything inside out of leather. While you might not see it and it’s easy to cheat and put some filler in it, it’s not that good. I did not want.

All layers of the Fort Belvedere belt are made of leather; no other material was used for padding – just like our wallets.

Yes, it’s really hard to pull apart. So you can see that we’re using a thick thread here. So we don’t have that experience from Montblanc. But really big stuff. If we cut the belt here, you’ll see that this is the upper and is folded at the edges here.

Let’s cut out the middle part. It’s stuck. Then there is a layer of leather underneath that lines it and keeps it in shape. And you can see here that it is fully folded. Then you have another layer, this black layer that comes on top. And then the same procedure on the other side with green leather.

You can clearly see here – green leather layer, then lining, and then folded to hold everything in place and keep everything in shape with the goal that you don’t see the warping in the belt as you wear it over time .

The thread of the Fort Belvedere belt is thick and the stitching is strong, making it difficult to pull the layers of the belt apart.

You can see the stitching is so strong that I can pull the leather apart, which under normal circumstances won’t happen because it’s so thick and strong. You will never rip this on yourself. But it’s redesigned for a reason, and that’s just so you can wear it for a long time.

The other thing is that with Fort Belvedere products we have opted for interchangeable buckles. So you can have all these buckles. Assuming you buy three buckles and three belts, you have nine possible combinations.

Now Hermes offers that, as does Montblanc. Montblanc has a very similar system to the one at Fort Belvedere, where you can simply swap out different buckles. The difference is that the Fort Belvedere buckles have a much thicker gold and palladium plating so they won’t wear out. When you travel, it’s also nice to bring just two belts and three buckles. That’s six combinations right there.

Gucci

So, last but not least, let’s take a look at the Gucci belt. Honestly, it looks like fully pigment-dyed leather embossed with the Gucci logo. A three-layered belt can be seen here – upper leather, lining leather, here cut and edge-painted, here almost looks like a layer of glue in between. But that actually falls apart very easily. Yes, it is not very strongly glued.

Three-layer construction of the Gucci belt

Overall, the leather just doesn’t feel very premium compared to the Hermes leather. It’s not that pretty. Construction wise, yes, has the three layers like the Hermes. But unlike the Hermes, it doesn’t have a reversible buckle. It just has that huge classic Gucci buckle. I do not know. It’s a bit cheesy in my opinion. But to each his own.

For 490€ I think it’s too expensive. It’s not quite as bad as the Louis Vuitton bag, which is made out of PVC vinyl. At least this is leather. The middle class doesn’t. I mean, the finishing all seems, you know, neat. The seams are all neat and such. But the thread is very thin. So when it wears out, it will open up after a while.

The Gucci belt is not heavily glued, which makes it easier to pull apart.

A quick word on leather quality and tanning

Even today, there are a lot of people who say, “Oh, that’s full-grain leather. It’s full-grain leather, which is definitely high-quality leather, but sometimes it’s not, right? Just because it’s printed on it doesn’t mean it’s the highest quality.

You can find full-grain leathers – you know, calfskin – that sell for a third of what other tanners do just because they have a better understanding of tanning. The color consistency is there, the feel, the subtlety. There are definitely differences even between the top grain leathers.

leather tannery

And I often see how cheaper brands like top grain leather where the whole belt is $25. Well, that’s from Chinese tanneries. They use zamak buckles, not solid brass. You know, the price of gold that we pay is way more than the retail price and all the marketing costs that you pay for it.

Conclusion

Hopefully cutting open those belts was interesting and you learned a few things. If you enjoyed cutting it apart, check out our shoes and purses series, and you’ll probably also enjoy the Is It Worth It series, where we just figure out if your hard cash is worth it or not.

The Introduction, The Establishment, and The Dismissal of The Gucci Belt – SMU Look

It’s 2018. Drake’s “God’s Plan” is hitting all radio stations, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have just announced their engagement, and all the celebrities – along with their loyal fan base – are sporting the infamous Gucci belt. This accessory took the fashion world by storm and refused to go down without a fight. But how did the gold interlocking “G” hardware become the dominant piece we’ve all come to know and love?

At the beginning…

The “model off-duty” look has always been and always will be a stylistic device to be imitated. The effortless “I woke up like this” attitude that every runway model quickly masters before they reach the peak of their career is attempted daily by avid fans and fashion connoisseurs. However, in 2018, models started hitting the town by donning a new addition to their outfit: the Gucci belt. From Kendall Jenner to Alessandra Ambrosio to Cindy Crawford, everyone seemed to be acquiring the accessory. The introduction of the Gucci belt into the wardrobes of luxury fashion icons ushered in the beginning of the item’s fashion cycle. Before long, the Gucci belt would find its way into the hands of those who didn’t have a stylist for every occasion. Ah, the circle of life.

Duplicates upon duplicates upon duplicates…

When a trend catches on quickly, fast fashion companies quickly do the same: after all, they have to keep up. As expected, everyone who keeps up with the latest fashion trends or just has access to Kendall Jenner’s Instagram feed is vying for the new “It” product. But at a whopping $480 minimum, the piece isn’t available to everyone. Customers who love the trend but can’t afford to use up their savings often turn to fast fashion companies. Ultimately, these companies make a profit by imitating current trends for a lower price and inferior quality. In the next phase of the fashion cycle, you’ll find that these brands have already listed fake “Double O” belts for one-sixteenth of the luxury price… because who doesn’t love a good Oucci belt!

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end…

Like the Adidas Superstars in 2016 or Resin Rings in 2021, all fashion trends have an expiry date. I sobbed when I shoved my Fila disruptors in the back of my closet years ago.

After wearing the Gucci belt to almost every occasion that pops up on the calendar and exhausting its versatility, it’s time to hang up the belt. That’s how it works in the fashion world: things go out of style. The final phase of the fashion cycle involves the elimination of a once-popular staple, but for what reason? Maybe as a fashion community we’ve found a new trend that we’re obsessed with? Perhaps the general public has decided that belts are a nuisance? Or maybe it was determined that the Gucci belt doesn’t really add value to an outfit aside from its price? That’s the hard truth of most luxury fads.

As mentioned, the Gucci belt is just one example of a fashion trend that has fallen victim to the fashion cycle. It’s almost inevitable. However, it is not the piece that loses its chic, but the general accessibility of the item that causes it to go “out of style”. Overexposure is the number one killer in any fad. Once a trend becomes available to every buying customer, the piece loses its sense of individuality. Originality and distinctiveness in fashion separates a good outfit from a great one. So by the time an item becomes “mainstream”, it has most likely reached its peak in the fashion cycle. Unfortunately, it only goes south from there.

While it can be easy to get swept up in the strong current of fashion trends, it’s important to remember that what truly defines style is incorporating personality into one’s wardrobe. Next time you’re flaunting the latest Zara collection or wearing Urban Outfitters’ latest corset, be sure to add a touch of personal style. Whether it’s your favorite earrings or a pair of shoes that make you feel like you can take on the world, adding your own touch of individuality to your outfit will not only make you stand out, but make you feel special. Happy hunting!

Are Gucci belts on sale?

No! I’ve never seen a Gucci belt on a Black Friday sale or Christmas discount, I’ve never seen a Gucci belt in Bicester Village or designer outlets because it’s a best-selling product of the current season.

Are Gucci belts unisex?

I am often asked if Gucci belts are the same for men and women. I know men used to be cheaper but now they are literally the same so yes I would say while Gucci belts used to be more geared towards women they are honestly the same and there is no price difference now!

Different types of Gucci belts:

There are so many different types of Gucci belts, no wonder people are confused, so I thought I would talk about the different types of Gucci belts, hoping that it will help you to decide.

Gucci leather belt with double G, this is the original and most popular Gucci belt, with a big buckle but it is not too flashy and a nice wide leather belt, it fits in jeans but with a little print . I would say the next most popular is the 2cm skinny double G Gucci belt, perfect if you are looking for a slim Gucci belt that also looks great paired with dresses around the waist. I think this is such an understated piece. Generally, people go for the 4 cm. This is the original and most popular Gucci belt with a big buckle but it’s not too flashy and a nice wide leather belt, it fits into jeans but with a little print. I would say the next popular one is the perfect one if you are looking for a slim Gucci belt that also looks amazing paired with dresses cinched the waist. I think this is such an understated piece.

2cm Thin Gucci Double G Belt – £250 – This is now my favorite Gucci belt, I think it’s understated but still overtly designer. I actually love a thin, smooth leather belt and find that the buckle here isn’t too big. If you don’t want anything flashy but want something designer, this is the perfect Gucci belt for you. Personally I think the 2cm would also look great as a waist belt and go through any belt loops as it’s the perfect size. Of course it comes in many colors, but I love the antique brass hardware and the neutral colors. The width of this Gucci belt is 2 cm and is therefore very suitable as a hip or waist belt. 3cm Gucci Leather Double G Belt – £295 – If you’re looking for something a little thinner than 4cm but a little taller than 2cm *state the obvious* then go for the new 3cm length Gucci leather belt – it fits smaller through belt loops (my 4cm fits through belt loops but in SOME jeans it’s a bit tight and would probably look better as a 3cm) and it’s a bit cheaper too but still has a nice big, shiny buckle and doesn’t have the same look as the thin belt. Of course, as with all Gucci belts, you can choose different textures, hardware colors, etc. I personally like the brass look as I find brass to be warmer than silver but if you prefer silver for your wardrobe you can get it in silver too. 4cm Gucci Leather Double G Belt – £330 – The most popular, famous and original Gucci Marmont belt. This one comes in 10 different variations, whether you want a silver buckle, gold buckle, smooth leather, or textured leather. I personally have the smooth leather belt with double G buckle with brass hardware. The £330 Gucci leather belt is 4cm wide. You can get this in a range of colors but I love it in brown for the summer as I find it goes really well with blue jeans and lighter fabrics and white shirts, or black for an everlasting everyday piece. I personally like the 4cm if you want to make a statement, the thickness is great, I find it fits through belt loops with a snap and sits well as a chunky belt at the waist if I add another hole (it depends what size you go for, hip wise – but I use mine for both). I originally chose these because I wanted a medium GG buckle, love that it’s in your face without being bigger than my head. My exact Gucci belt is this, the 4cm wide leather double G buckle belt here online and I’ve had it for years, it only gets better with age. I prefer to wear it with an all black outfit. I think it adds such a gorgeous, luxurious touch. The most popular, famous and original Gucci Marmont belt. G-Buckle Wide Gucci Leather Belt 4cm – £295 – You can pick up the 4cm wide leather belt for £295 if you want to save some £ on your Gucci belt if you’re going for the structured look decide. I actually quite like the textured look, especially when you can get the wide 4cm wide leather belt for £295 if you want to save a few £ on your Gucci belt if you go for the textured look. I love the textured look, especially the brown leather with the gold buckle!

7cm Gucci Belt – £715 – This is the largest and chunkiest Gucci belt. Imagine something that could blow someone’s mind, yes it is. Fit through belt loops? No chance, not with a width of 7cm! This is definitely “in your face” if you want to make a statement! This is the biggest and chunkiest Gucci belt. Imagine something that could blow someone’s mind, yes it is. Fit through belt loops? Unique Gucci Belts: Some people probably feel that the original Gucci belts are overdone and want to get something more unique. I personally LOVE the original Gucci belts but I have to say I am head over heels with the beautiful, one of a kind limited edition style Gucci belts. It goes without saying that the sleeker, more original belts are more “future proof” and forever as they are not trend oriented pieces, but I honestly think these unique Gucci belts are so beautiful and different. Gucci belt with pearls

Gucci Beaded Belt – £325 – There is no doubt that this belt is absolutely stunning. I think that might be my favorite color too. Who knew I would wear a light pink leather belt? As I said above, I think the neutral shades are great to wear in spring and summer, while the black belts are forever durable. This comes in other colors so you don’t have to just go for light pink leather. It is 2cm wide and can be worn as a hip or hip belt. There is no doubt that this belt is absolutely stunning. 2.5cm Gucci Torchon Leather Belt and 4cm – £325 – I think this is such a classy take on the original Gucci belt, love the gold tone and texture on the buckle. This is 1″ wide which I think is the perfect medium size. You can also get what I think is the classier version of the original Gucci belt, love the gold tone and texture on the buckle. This is 1″ wide which I think is the perfect medium size. You can also get the Gucci Torchon leather belt with a width of 4 cm. The white is so gorgeous for summer.

Gucci Leather Snake Belt – £450 – If you are looking for something unique and different you can try the Gucci Leather Snake Buckle Belt, yes really! It’s quirky but fun! The serpentine motif is inspired by Gucci products from the 70’s if history is your thing! This is 4cm wide and can be worn as a hip or hip belt. 4 cm Gucci web belt

Gucci Web Belt 4cm – £285 – If you love the Gucci colors you will love this belt, the Gucci Web Belt would make such a lovely gift – I’m a fan of their red and green colours. This model is made of green and red cotton canvas and also has leather details. It’s nice if you’re looking for something other than the pure leather look. Gucci Belt Size Chart:

I’m always asked about the size of Gucci belts, it’s a very personal thing, but personally I always go up in size (I’m a UK 6-8) and in my opinion it’s better to have one that’s too big and add extra holes. People ask if Gucci belts run small and I would say yes from experience. Like I said, I’ve always gained weight! I find size 70 is very small but good for the waist, 75 is perfect and 80 is good with jeans and baggy tucked in. This is just my personal opinion.

The Gucci website states: Gucci belts are measured from the end of the buckle to the center hole. The size may vary depending on where the belt is worn (on the hips or on the waist). The sizing suggestions are based on a belt worn on your hips.

I hope this helps you find your perfect Gucci belt style and size!
