Connect to the first wireless network
Download the iRobot Home App for iOS and Android. If you don’t have the app, you can download it from the Playstore or the AppStore depending on the device you have.
Launch the app and select the country and language you want to continue with. Also, check the radio button next to the Terms and Conditions.
The next step is to log in to your Roomba account. If you don’t have one, you can create the same by clicking the Create Account button.
Enter the required details and click the Create Account button below. Once you have the account ready, you can proceed with the on-screen instructions as follows:
Select the type of your roomba device. If it is a vacuum cleaning robot, select Roomba from the available options. Now click on the “Set up a new Roomba” button.
Now the mobile app will guide you through certain steps. Locate the docking station that came with your Roomba device and plug it into the wall.
Place the station flush against a solid surface where the Roomba robot can easily stand. Now follow the steps mentioned in the app to connect to the wireless network.
Enter the network name or SSID and network key or password in the required fields. Once entered, click the Next button.
You now need to activate your Roomba device by pressing the home button and the map button. Roomba will now make a sound for about two seconds. Release the buttons and now you will see the Network LED light up.
Once you see the LED light up, click the Next button.
Connect to the second network
To connect to the second network, you can either change the network properties via the Settings option and follow the steps above. Or you can configure the second network to have a similar SSID and network key password as the first network. This way Roomba will only see the second network as the first.

Set up your WiFi connected robot with the iRobot® HOME App
Use the information below to complete the Wi-Fi setup process.
Download the iRobot® HOME App to your mobile device.
iOS : Compatible with operating systems 11 and higher.

Place the Home Base® charging station or Clean Base™ on a flat surface with no obstructions in a location with good WiFi coverage, and then connect to power.
If your robot has one, remove the yellow battery tab and yellow trash can liner
Place the robot on the base and make sure it is powered on
Open the iRobot HOME App, create an account or sign in, then select Add Robot.
Select the type of robot you want to add and follow the in-app instructions
Connecting Roomba® Combo™ to the iRobot® HOME App
This robot is added by selecting “Add Robot” and then “Roomba” and then “Roomba Combo”.
Step 1 – Complete the setup checklist

Step 2 – Enable location services during setup
During the setup process, your Roomba Combo will attempt to identify and connect to your Wi-Fi network. To do this, you must allow location services.

Step 3 – Placement of the Home Base® charging station
Make sure you have placed the Home Base® charging station:
In an area with good WiFi coverage
On a hard, level surface against a wall with a clear path unobstructed for Roomba
WARNING: To avoid the risk of your robot falling down stairs, ensure the charging station is placed at least 1.2 m (4 feet) away from stairs.
Step 4 – Name your robot
“Roomba” is pre-installed – but what will you call your new robot?
Enter a name and continue
Step 5 – Connect Roomba® Combo to your WiFi network
The iRobot® HOME App displays the name of the Wi-Fi network to which the mobile device is currently connected.
If the 2.4GHz network is already selected, tap Next.
With the 5GHz network selected, tap Change WiFi Network and select the 2.4GHz network from the list.
iOS: To set up Roomba® on a different network using an iOS device, select the Wi-Fi network in the iRobot® HOME App and change the network in the mobile device settings.
Enter your Wi-Fi network password.
If no password is required, check the box on the screen and continue.
Step 6 – Activate Roomba® Combo
This step turns on Roomba’s internal Wi-Fi network so your device can locate the robot.
Make sure the robot is powered on and awake. With the robot on the Home Base, look for the Wi-Fi indicator light. It should flash slowly. If not, open the lid and make sure the power switch is in the on ( | ) position and close the lid.
Press the cleaning button on the robot to wake it up. Activate the robot: Open the lid.
Short press the RESET button for 1 second and then release it. You hear a beep. Confirm the step in the app: Check the box “I pressed the key” and click “Next”. This will enable Roomba Combo’s internal Wi-Fi network, allowing your device to locate the robot. Tap Join to allow the app to connect to Roomba’s Wi-Fi network on your device. This is a temporary connection.
Your device will pass your network information to Roomba and complete the setup process.
Once setup is complete and it says “Connected,” you can now control Roomba Combo from the iRobot HOME App.
If you can’t connect, make sure you meet the Wi-Fi setup requirements.
