Hand in your cylinder head if you are based in Farnham (GU10) and while it is serviceable, as little material as possible will be removed from the cylinder face.

Any heads that are not clear enough to allow head skimming will be subject to a stripdown fee.
That means no manifolds/screw-on housings, camshafts, rocker arms, drivers, injection nozzles or glow plugs. However, some petrol and diesel cylinder heads also require the valves to be removed. Although most petrol cylinder heads leave the valves in place and only the camshafts can be removed.

We are able to check the cylinder head for water or air infiltration from the inside. With our Delta pressure testing facility we can supply 90°C pressurized water to open and identify cracks that would otherwise go unnoticed until installed!
vacuum test
Using tests similar to the pressure test, this works on the ports, both inlet and outlet, and primarily identifies leaking valves, although there can sometimes be more sinister issues like cracked ports.
If required, we can carry out repair work in-house on most cylinder heads.
