Check if your Nike Air Jordan 1 “Fearless” is authentic

Real Vs Fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless UNC Chicago

In short, the quickest way to spot fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless is to check the size tag inside each shoe. The fake Jordans never have their text on the size label in the correct thickness, while the authentic pairs always have the same font weight for their text there. At the same time, make sure that your shoes have an hourglass shape when viewed from the back, because fake pairs usually miss this detail.

The Fearless Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro Highs of 2019 present a different silhouette than the usual, and as cool as they are, these patent leather blue and red Air Jordan 1 are heavily replicated.

If you’re looking to buy a pair of these, you’ll most likely want to know if you’re looking at a real or fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless pair.

Assuming that’s what you want to learn, this is where you want to be. Sit back and relax as this guide will teach you everything you need to know to spot fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless UNC Chicago sneakers almost effortlessly.

In fact, the only effort that needs to be made is to read this guide and look at the real vs fake AJ1 Fearless 2019 images that we will be linking throughout the guide.

This image represents an infographic guide that applies to 90% of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High colorways. Read on for an in-depth guide!

How to spot fake Air Jordan 1 Retro High Fearless

Step 1: Comparison of Fake vs Real Fearless Air Jordan 1 Size Labels

The guide to authenticating Fearless Air Jordan 1 High sneakers lets us look inside the shoes at what we consider to be the best of the best authenticity factors.

As we mentioned in the very first paragraph of the guide, we like to think that the best way to spot fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless sneakers is by looking at the size label.

In the real vs. fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless sneakers image above, we pointed out that the fake pair’s style code text looks too thin.

The style code caption is the bold text in the upper-right corner. There you can see how the text “CK5666-100” looks thicker and more defined on the real shoes than on the fake one.

Then you can observe in the lower left corner of the size label how the text “MADE IN CHINA” written in multiple languages looks too bold and too small.

On the other hand, the real Fearless 1’s “MADE IN CHINA” inscription looks thinner and larger than the fake couple’s text.

Step 2: Check the hourglass shape on the back of your Fearless Air Jordan 1s

The legitimate pairs of Fearless 1 have a specific shape from the back, and we call it the “hourglass shape” for good reason.

The reason is that the shoes need to have a curvy look at the top and bottom and be narrow enough in the middle to give that hourglass look.

As you can see in the image above, the authentic shoes have the right shape as they have visibly curvy and narrow details.

Yes, if we look at the real shoes we can see that they also have a curvy/narrow shape, but their flaw is that the shape is not as accented and as detailed as the real one.

Therefore, the fake shoes have a tubular shape rather than the hourglass look.

The green lines on the sides of the real vs fake Air Jordan 1 show you how the authentic shoes look like an hourglass, they are very curved and quite narrow in the middle.

On the other hand, the fake couple’s shape can also be a bit curved and narrowed, but it’s definitely not as defined as it should be.

Please note that this spot may not always be visible when wearing the authentic shoes. We therefore recommend that you only assess this step when the shoes are not being worn.

Step 3: Check the toe box fill level of your Fearless Air Jordans

The third step of the Air Jordan 1 Fearless UNC Chicago sneaker legit check guide takes us to the front of the shoes, but looks at it from the profile side.

We do this because we want to verify that your shoes have the correct or under- or under-inflated toe box.

In the image of the authentic vs. replica Air Jordan 1 Fearless 2019 sneakers above, we pointed out that the fake pair under-inflated their toe box.

In fact, you can see that the fake pair’s toe box is too thin and not high enough, while the real pair’s toe box is thicker, taller, and generally bulkier than that of the fake.

Step 4: Look at the lettering in the classic Air Jordan logo

To continue with the fourth method of the Air Jordan 1 Fearless UNC Chicago Shoes Authentication Guide, we must now turn to the upper of the shoes.

Here we have to quickly check the lettering of the classic “AIR JORDAN” logo, which can be seen on almost every colourway of the Retro High OG Air Jordan 1s.

In the image above with the fake vs real Fearless Air Jordan 1, you can observe how the text on the fake pair is too bold and much larger than the real one.

On the other hand, the authentic Fearless Air Jordan 1 have a lower font weight for their “AIR JORDAN” text as it is visibly narrower than the counterfeit pair’s writing.

The steps we’ve written so far are the best ways to authenticate this article.

The next few steps are still reliable marks of authenticity but are available for non-top versions of replicas for this item. We recommend following the steps outlined above to ensure you don’t jump to any wrong conclusions.

Step 5: Authenticate the stitching around the Air Jordan logo badge

Turning to the fifth method of the Air Jordan 1 Fearless UNC Chicago authentication process, we will still be talking about the same logo.

This time we want to check the stitching that runs all the way around the Air Jordan logo instead of the text we previously checked on the real vs fake Fearless UNC Chicago Air Jordan 1.

The stitching on the fake pair is improperly done and this can be seen if you look closely at basically every thread there. The threads are too thick and poorly attached to the shoes as they come out of the shoes instead of sitting deep inside.

If you look at the real Air Jordans, you can observe how their stitching around the logo is the same thickness for every thread and how these stitches are perfectly attached to the shoes as not a single thread comes out of them.

Step 6: Examine the perforations on your Fearless AJ1’s toe box

Now that we’re definitely done with the classic Air Jordan logo, let’s talk about the holes (or the perforations, whatever you want to call them) that are on the white side of the toe boxes.

This image featuring the Real vs. Replica AJ1 Fearless UNC Chicago sneakers above shows you how the fake pair has their perforations too wide and too deep.

You can tell by looking at how much area the white leather covers: the fake ones are too big, while the real perforations are narrower and cover less white leather than the fake ones.

Step 7: Look at the corner seams on the side of your Air Jordan 1 Fearless

Let’s move on to step eight of the guide on how to spot fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless sneakers and take a look at the white stitching found on the tread side of the shoes.

In fact, the stitch we’re talking about is a small corner above the Nike swoosh, just before it crosses the logo.

In the image above with the fake vs authentic Air Jordan 1 Fearless pair, you can see how the stitching of the fake pair is too thick and how it’s placed a little too far from the logo.

On the other hand, the real Fearless AJ1 have the same stitching placed thinner and much closer to the Nike Swoosh logo.

Step 8: Examine the patch on the back of the shoes where the Nike Swooshes meet

In the eighth step of the guide on how to spot fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless sneakers, let’s go back to the back of the shoes where we want to look at the patch under which the Swooshes are from the inside and meet from the outside tread sides of the shoes.

The real vs. fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless shoes image above shows how the patch on the fake AJ1s looks too big and too narrow. Basically, the patch on the fake pair is too big.

Speaking about the real Fearless 1s, you can tell that their patch looks more boxy, shorter, and generally wider than the patch seen on the Replica 1s.

Step 9: Real vs Fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless UNC Chicago Midsole Seam

Moving on to the ninth method of the guide on how to spot a fake pair of Air Jordan 1 Fearless sneakers, we are going to look at the midsoles for their stitching.

As always, let’s take a quick look at the comparison image between the real and replica Air Jordan 1 Fearless, and right after that we’ll tell you the flaw on the fake pair as well as the counterpart to the real shoes.

The authentic vs fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless sneakers image above shows you how the fake pair has their stitching on the midsole that is too thick and too bulky.

On the other hand, the Fearless 1s of the real shoes have thinner and narrower threads on the midsole than the fake ones.

Step 10: Check the additional FEAR label of your Fearless Air Jordan 1s

For the tenth and final method of the guide on how to spot fake Air Jordan 1s, let’s take a look at the black auxiliary label that says “FEAR”.

The above fake vs real Air Jordan 1 Fearless sneaker shows you how the fake pair’s F”EAR” text looks too thin, while the authentic pair has the same text thicker and more defined.

How to Spot Fake Air Jordan 1 Fearless in 60 Seconds?

The 10 detailed steps above may not be so convenient if you are in a hurry or want to buy the sneakers online.

That’s why we’ve put together this quick 60-second solution to authenticating your sneakers. Below are the top 10 indicators that can help you determine if you have a fake or genuine pair of Air Jordan 1 Fearless.

Write the size tag on your Air Jordan 1 sneakers as the fake shoes tend to have very thin text. Look at the hourglass shape from the back of your shoes. The fake Air Jordan 1 pairs usually have their shape too straight. Check the toe box of your Air Jordan 1s. In most cases, the toe box of fake AJ1 pairs looks overly inflated. Check out the “Air Jordan” text in the classic Air Jordan 1 logo on your shoes. Usually the fake AJ1 pairs have their text in the wrong thickness. Check the stitching near the Air Jordan logo. Usually the fake pairs have their seams too thick and with extra threads. Check out the toe box and its perforations. Usually the holes on the toe box on the fake pairs look too small and narrow Examine the corner seams on the side of your shoes as the stitching on most fake pairs looks too flimsy and also placed too close to the Nike swoosh logo. Check out the patch on the back of the shoes where the Nike Swoosh logos meet. On the fake pairs, the patch usually looks too edgy. Look at the stitching on the midsole of your shoes as the stitching on the fake pairs is too thick and too short and therefore more boxy than the real ones. Look at the “FEAR” text on the additional label. Most of the time the fake couples have their text too thin there.

Real Vs Fake Air Jordan 1 OG Fearless-Quick Tips To Identify The Fakes

spread the love

The Air Jordan 1 OG Fearless will be out in about 3 days from today and I wrote a projection post about it a few days ago, see link below

This shoe is without question a target for the replica industry and today I was able to do a head-to-head comparison between a real shoe and a fake one. The fake pair was a size 8.5 and the authentic ones used in this post were between a size 9 and 10 for accuracy. (Keep this in mind as you read the presentation). This is just a preventative way to avoid counterfeiting (my goal is to always prevent the problem before it happens).

The Swoosh logo in the center panel is almost bubbly and made from a cheap material; Patent leather is indeed shiny, but the fake pair swoosh logo features a plastic-like material. The logo is smaller on the fake pair than the authentic one and its shape is awful (zero on the red arrows).

This image is intended to reinforce what I said in the paragraph above.

The small curved area of the toe box has more depth on the authentic pair (see yellow line, you’ll see how shallow it is on the fake pair). And the forefoot strap is adjacent to the authentic pair’s curved area (see horizontal arrow).

The edge of the heel counter is not jagged and rough on the authentic pair (the edge borders the Swoosh so they have the same border on the authentic pair). On the fake you can see how uneven the edge is (see red secant line)

You can see how rough and jagged the edge of the heel counter is on the fake pair (it appears to have white leather scraps on it, indicating poor craftsmanship), see red lines and yellow arrow

You will also notice that the Nike Air logo is not properly centered within the rectangular white tab (the gap between the Swoosh logo, “Air” text and the edge of the tab is wider on the fake – see yellow line) . And the Nike text is thinner than swell on the fake (see yellow square)

The distance between the logo and the area in which it is enclosed is larger in the fake; the letters of the “Nike” text are slightly wider on the authentic pair. You’ll also notice that the fake pair’s outsole is pink/red, while the authentic one’s outsole is almost blood red

This is a better image than the contrast between the logos of both couples; The way the letters were carved on the fake couple’s logo shows the poor craftsmanship. And once again you will see the differences in the colors of both shoes.

The Wings logo appears a bit too bright and bold on the fake pair, the metallic gold used is more subtle on the authentic pair. Also, the feathers on the wing logo are more compact on the fake pair.

The “Fear” wording on the authentic pair has no white dots on it; If you look at the insole of the fake pair, the text “Fear” appears to be covered in small white dots. And the font of the letters on the insoles is bolder on the authentic pair.

The box is obviously fake and I’m sure bootleggers will update that very soon. In the meantime, refer to the information above.

There you have it folks, I’ll update the slides as additional images are added.

UPDATE 11/1/2019 A NEW BATCH OF FAKE COUPLES IS OUT AND I QUICKLY RECOGNIZED SOME FAULTS IN THEM – SEE PICTURES BELOW

The “FEAR” text appears almost off-white on the counterfeit pair and off-white on the authentic. Not only that, but the shape/font of the letters in the “Fear” wording is shaky/unstable (you’ll see for yourself). Also the hangtag bids are silver for the fake pair and silver/black for the real pair

The “FEAR” text reappears wider on the fake pair.

Also on the new pair, the letters on the insole are bolder and more refined and neater than on the authentic pair.

I will continue to edit this post over time

PS: The Real VS Fake Posts require a lot of time to write as replicas/fakes keep getting better and spotting their flaws is a meticulous task. I understand that some of you may still be unsure of the authenticity of your sneakers. So I am providing the following video to provide additional help.
