But for everyone from first-time customers to long-time lash professionals, questions and reservations can arise.
What is the best and safest way to apply eyelash extensions? What products should be used to get effective and beautiful results? So this week we’re giving you the details on an essential part of the eyelash lengthening process…the glue!
You’ve probably heard of cyanoacrylate before. This is the active ingredient in all eyelash glue and is best known as the sticky part of eyelash glue. You can thank the cyanoacrylate for allowing the extensions to securely and effectively adhere to the natural lash.
• The adhesive applicator should be cleaned after each use. The nozzle should be free of dirt or debris prior to each client’s use
• Do not bring cotton or wool into contact with cyanoacrylate. When this particular component comes into contact with cotton, a strong chemical reaction takes place, generating heat. This can, in some cases, cause severe irritation and burns
• Do not use cotton swabs or pads to clean your client’s lashes. Small cotton fibers can be left behind, and when these come into contact with your adhesive, heat can be generated, very close to your customer’s eye. Instead, use micro brushes or lip gloss wands.
