Although there are some common styles, many dancers combine elements of different styles with their own ideas and knowledge to create their own unique style. B-Boys can therefore be categorized into a broad style that generally exhibits the same types of techniques.

B-Boys or B-Girls appear to have lost control and fall on their backs, stomachs, etc. The more painful the suicide appears, the more impressive it is, but Breakers perform them in a way that minimizes the pain.
Flavor: A style based more on sophisticated top rock, down rock and/or freezes. This style focuses more on the beat and musicality of the song than just relying on power moves. B-Boys who base their dance on “taste” or style are referred to as “style heads.”
