Level 3 and 4 tanning beds have lower levels of UVB rays (sometimes removing up to 99%) while increasing UVA rays compared to lower level beds. So not only will your tanning times be shorter, but you’ll only need to visit the salon a few times a month as opposed to a few times a week with a lower level… and your tan will be richer and last longer than with a lower level even.
Obviously, this speed upgrade comes at an additional cost. Tanning salons charge more for level 4 tanning beds. But if your time is valuable, that extra cash can be worth the effort. Why? Level 1 and 2 tanning beds require the tanners to come back several times a week if they want to maintain their tan. With Level 3 and Level 4, tanners only need to visit the salon once a week, or sometimes every two weeks. For those on the go, this is a great convenience.
