Level B Switching & Strapping Course – Overview
Course Objectives: The Level B Switching and Strapping course enables current Sentinel Track Safety Card holders who are supported by PTS DCCR and have a current Electrical Accident First Aid Certificate to perform DC isolation tasks using track disconnect switches/hook switches and appropriate shorting straps on the Network Rail Managed Infrastructure. A Level B (Switching and Strapping) responsibilities include assisting with DC isolations for a property as directed by a Level A Authorized Person.
Course duration and location: This course lasts one day and can be completed at our training locations in Stratford or Rainham.
Course Requirements:
Before taking the Level B Transition course, you must complete an online pre-qualification eLearning Emergency First Aid knowledge test which generates a certificate of achievement that you can print out and bring with you on the day of your course and is valid for 2 years.
