How do you get glowing moss in ACNH?

Vines and glowing moss do not grow natively on your island, so you’ll need to get lucky with a Kapp’n island in order to find it, unless you have the game’s DLC. If you have the Happy Home Paradise DLC, glowing moss and vines will spawn towards the back of the hub island, near the ruins.

The spawn rate increases with the island rating

If your island rating is high (4 or 5 stars), you have a higher chance of finding rare mushrooms. It might be worth upgrading your island’s score before settling on these rare mushrooms.

Dig out of holes near trees

Rare mushrooms are only available in autumn. Just like the other 4 types of mushrooms, they can be found at the foot of trees. However, rare mushrooms must actually be dug up! Look for holes within a 1 tile radius around trees. Note that their spawn rate is very, very low.

Only within 1 tile of trees

Rare mushrooms are only found in holes that are right next to trees. The appearance of the hole is exactly the same as in fossils. It’s not possible to tell what will come out until you’ve gotten your shovel going.

Count mushrooms while searching

Holes near trees also have a chance to contain a fossil. Keep in mind that since a maximum of 5 mushrooms will appear on your island every day, you cannot get a rare mushroom from a hole if you have already obtained 5 that day. The ideal time to search is when you only find 4 (or fewer) mushrooms on your island.

After the Acorn Festival, acorns have little use beyond being sold to Tom Nook. They cannot be planted to grow trees or kept for long periods of time, because they will turn into rotten acorns, which may attract ants.

Can you farm mushroom in ACNH?

Most of the mushrooms will spawn on the ground around the base of your island’s hardwood trees. All you need to do is walk over to them and pick them up, just like you do with weeds. Rare mushrooms are slightly different because they are hidden underground, but they’ll still spawn near hardwood trees.

There are 12 different mushroom-themed DIY recipes to collect in November (Northern Hemisphere) or May (Southern Hemisphere).

Here is a list of all of them:

Why are there no Mooshrooms on my island?

Make sure cheats are on. Fly all around the biome for a while until enough mooshroom cows spawn. Observe that the mooshroom cows don’t ever re-spawn.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Wiki Guide

Recently launched a new map centered on a mushroom island. As part of my build, I built a pen for any Mooshrooms I could find on the island. (about eight) Unfortunately they were all wiped out during a thunderstorm (probably by two hits as there were two skeleton horse traps in the corral.) I repeatedly searched the entire island for respawns but after several hours I couldn’t find any. I can only conclude that once the initial spawns are gone, they are gone forever.
