To get a little tipsy, the average person needs about 2 to 4 shots of vodka. You may feel drunk after 5 to 9 shots. In our experience, after 10+ shots of vodka, you will feel extremely drunk.

Vodka is a type of distilled alcoholic beverage that is typically unodorous and tasteless, making it the perfect alcohol base for many mixed drinks and cocktails. It is considered one of the strongest spirits, so yes, it can get you drunk.

Vodka has a minimum bottling volume of 35% alcohol by volume (ABV), which is quite high compared to beer’s 3-13% ABV, wine’s 11.6% ABV, gin’s 35-55% ABV. Some vodka brands are bottled at a higher ABV, with Spirytus Rektyfikowany being considered the world’s strongest vodka at 96 percent ABV.

Higher quality vodka tends to be stronger, and sometimes a shot glass of vodka can make you feel a little drunk already.
