We have a responsibility to learn how to be good parents, and part of that may involve addressing our own emotional defects first. Learning what triggers us off and why, and finding healthy alternatives when we get emotional, can go a long way toward being a great parent.

What is the best way for me to make dua’ for my kids?

Daily Interactions

Dua’ can be done at any time and in any situation. Most commonly we save our duas for the prayer rug after salah and while this is certainly beneficial and of great value, during our interactions with our children we should take moments throughout the day to make duas for them.

When your child is resisting, pushing back, stubborn, or neglectful, these are the times when we usually lose our temper and scream. What if we use these moments to make dua for our kids instead?

You can recite Dua’ from the Quran and Sunnah that are special for children or you can seize the moment to make Dua’ to correct certain behaviors.

For example, if they refuse to attend their online Quran class, say something like:

“May Allah bless you with a heart that finds joy in the Qur’an”, or

“May Allah give you the gift of beautiful recitation.”

If they get upset with their siblings, you can say something like

“Allah does not like it when we quarrel, may He put love in your hearts.”

Or if your child keeps their bedroom messy, try to tell

“Habibi, Allah loves those who keep themselves clean – try to keep your room clean and inshallah He will include you.”

Use language that is easy and comfortable for you and make a habit of saying your dua out loud for your children to hear. When they hear the positive things that their parents are asking for them from Allah subhana wa ta’ala, it will make them more likely to strive for those qualities insh’Allah.

It’s a small change, but see how powerful those words have become now? Now your child is no longer motivated to comply to avoid your nagging, now he is striving to please Allah and to be among those He loves – Subhanallah, what a beautiful intention for our children.

When Shaykh Al-Kalbaani, former Imam of the Kaaba, was young, he was a very naughty boy. He would make his mother angry. But his mother, may Allah preserve her, was a very righteous woman and she knew the power of Dua’. She made a habit of saying this dua in her anger towards him: “O Allah, guide YOU! And make yourself the IMAM of the Kaaba!” Imam Al-Kalbani tells us: “So Allah answered their dua and I became the Imam of the Ka’bah!”

This story is a great example of the power of dua’, especially from a parent to his or her child. When our children’s behavior is far from what we would like them to be, when they are uncooperative, difficult, stubborn and so on, the last thing on our mind is to make dua. But this is just the right opportunity for us to do so.

The example of Shaykh Al-Kalbaani and his mother shows us that when we are most frustrated with our children, we can really shift our focus to making very specific duas for our children. Just think how powerful that could be! Whatever character flaw or problem we are trying to help our children change or deal with, we have an immediate connection with our Creator in that moment to ask for His specific help.

When I think about it, every relationship in this world can be replaced or has a replacement – except your parents. You are irreplaceable. Parents in Islam have the right to decide for their children when they are young and dependent, the right to be obeyed and respected and cared for when they are old. Show them gratitude

Your parents have your best interest at heart. Listen to their advice and follow it. Only when they give you advice against Islam should you disobey your parents.

Sometimes it’s really difficult to be patient with your parents. It can be downright annoying. But hey, don’t lose your cool. Talk to them politely, let them start meals, let them walk ahead of you. Small things can make them feel valued and respected.

Be sensitive to their feelings

When we grow up, we don’t realize that they grow old too. They become more sensitive and can be injured with even the slightest carelessness on your part. So be sensitive. Make time for them, sit with them and talk to them at length. Spent five minutes with them

take care of her

When you were a toddler and dependent, they took care of you. Now when they are old, you are the one who takes care of them.

Make dua for her

Make plenty of dua for your parents. Dua for your health and well-being, Dua for your life and afterlife.

When Allah imposes the obligation in the Qur’an to be kind and compassionate to one’s parents, this instruction always appears shortly after the instruction to worship only one god. Allah the Exalted says in the Qur’an:

“Your Lord has decreed that you should not worship anyone but Him and be kind to your parents. Whether one or both reach old age, speak no word of contempt to them, nor repel them, but speak to them with reverence. And out of kindness, lower the wing of humility to them and say: “My Lord! bestow upon them your mercy, as they cherished me in childhood.”

What should we pray for parents?

Praying for our mothers and fathers is a great way to honor them, so let’s commit to interceding for our parents before the throne of grace. Heavenly Father, be a source of refuge to our parents. As they grow older, do not forsake them so that they might proclaim your works and glorify you. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Your prayer shook me.

I had met some Christian women for coffee. As our conversation continued, a sister shared that her father had hurt her deeply. After a few minutes, one of the older saints suggested that we pray and asked the woman her father’s name. We bowed our heads and I was surprised to hear how she spent the entire time praying for the woman’s father. She showed such care for his soul – asking God to be close to him in his loneliness and praying that he would find his hope only in Christ.

It would never have occurred to me to pray for the woman’s father – let alone pray like that. As she prayed, I felt the Holy Spirit convict me. How often do I pray for my own parents? I thought. The answer: not often enough.

In Ephesians, God commands us to honor our parents (Ephesians 6:2). The word “honor” in this verse means “to give weight”. So we honor our parents when we give them weight in our hearts and lives. One specific way we do this as grown children is to give them weight in our prayers.

How should we pray for them? One of the best ways to be sure that our prayers for our parents are in accordance with God’s will is to pray the scriptures. To start us, here are three Bible prayers for our parents based on Psalm 71:

1. Pray that your parents will find refuge in Christ alone.

be a rock of refuge for me

to which I can always come back;

You gave the order to save me

for you are my rock and my fortress. (Psalm 71:3)

We can look at our parents and think that their lives are relatively settled. In fact, the “last quarter” can be filled with uncertainty. Our parents may be concerned about their health, financial investments, or their ability to care for aging loved ones.

Amidst all the uncertainty, they may be tempted to rely too heavily on a temporary refuge — turning to doctors, financial advisors, or assisted living to find peace of mind. But we know that true, lasting peace comes only when we place our hope in the rock of our salvation, Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:14, 1 Corinthians 10:4).

Pray that your parents will quickly look to Jesus and remember His unwavering love. If they are not yet believers, pray boldly that God will open their eyes to the truth of the gospel so that they may find true rest in Christ (Matthew 11:28).

2. Pray that your parents would continually praise God and proclaim His mighty works.

But I will always hope

and will praise you more and more.

My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds,

your acts of salvation throughout the day,

for their number eludes my knowledge. (Psalm 71:14-15)

Many of our parents have worked hard in their careers at home, in their communities, and in the church. Earthly wisdom says they deserve a life of rest and relaxation. But divine wisdom tells us that our lives are not our own—that God created us to praise Him and tell of His righteous deeds for all of our days (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

At our church we have a ministry called Age of Opportunity for those 55 and older. I love what this name communicates. It’s as if they’re saying together, “We’re not done with God’s work. In fact, we’re just getting started.” Pray that this will be your parents’ heart cry as well. Ask God to help them identify how best to serve Him at this time. Pray that they will continue to hope and glorify him even as their spirits and bodies fail.

If your mother or father has not yet personally experienced God’s salvation, pray that God would save them from their sin so they can worship Him and proclaim His glorious works for the rest of their lives.

3. Pray that God will not abandon your parents in old age.

O God, from my youth you have taught me

and I still proclaim your wonderful deeds.

So until old age and gray hair,

Oh god don’t leave me

until I announce your power to another generation

your power for all who come. (Psalm 71:17-18)

This third prayer goes well with the second. The psalmist asks God not to forsake him – to support him in his old age. Why? So that he can continue to proclaim God’s miracles as he has done since his youth. He wants to make God’s name known to another generation.

It is natural to pray for our parents to have good health and long life, but God wants us to think bigger. Instead of just asking God not to leave your parents, ask instead that he support them so that they can manifest his power to others. Pray that your parents, if God does not heal them here on earth, will proclaim Christ even in their deaths.

If your mother and father do not yet know of his wonderful deeds, pray that God will call them out of the darkness and into the wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9). Ask him to keep their lives until they confess Christ as their Lord. Pray that God will do this for His holy name’s sake.

I once attended a parenting class where the teacher said, “You are your child’s greatest prayer advocate this side of heaven. If you don’t pray for your children, who will?”

It’s a humbling question. Imagine if we asked it the other way around:

“If you don’t pray for your parents, who will?”

You are able to be one of your parents’ greatest prayer advocates. Praying for our mothers and fathers is a great way to honor them, so let us commit to stand up for our parents before the throne of grace.

Heavenly Father, be a source of refuge for our parents. When they grow older, do not leave them to proclaim your works and glorify you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

After the adhan. During the salah (when a slave is closest to his Lord in a prostration state or before the end of salah after finishing the tashahhud). After the obligatory prayers.

The Prophet mentioned that Allah descends to the lowest heaven and says:

“Who is calling me so that I can answer him? Who is asking me to give something to him?…” (Bukhari, Muslim)

Do you sometimes wonder why your duas aren’t being answered? Maybe there’s more to just saying dua and hoping for the best. I researched my dua and found that there are ways to answer your dua more effectively.

First, there are situations where your dua is accepted.

Second, there are times when your dua is accepted.

Third, there are requirements for your dua to be accepted.

Situations where your dua is accepted

The scholars have mentioned that when you are in one of the following situations, it is ideal for your dua to be accepted.

A person wronged or oppressed.

A person going through great difficulties after a disaster.

A person who travels.

A person who is fasting.

A woman in labor.

A person who has recited or finished the Qur’an.

A person who performs Hajj or Umrah.

A person who makes dua for someone in their absence (when you make dua for someone in their absence, an angel says, “Ameen and to you”).

A person who is frequently in a state of remembrance of Allah.

A person who is a just ruler.

Times when your dua is accepted

Scholars have mentioned these times as best for accepting Dua and are the Sunnah of Prophet PBUH.

The early morning hours (the last part of the night until the start of Fajr – divide the night into three parts between Maghrib and Fajr).

After the Adhan.

During salah (when a slave is closest to his master in a state of prostration or before the end of salah after the completion of tashahhud).

After the obligatory prayers.

A period on a Friday (some scholars say the Imam settles between the two Khutbahs and others say it is the last period before the Maghrib).

When waking up at night after wudu.

Before drinking the water of Zamzam.

During the month of Ramadan.

During Laylat-ul-Qadr (The Night of Destiny).

When visiting the sick.

When rain falls

In places like Mecca, Arafat and Medina (when going to Hajj or Umrah).

Requirements for your dua to be accepted

“Verily Allah is pure and accepts nothing but what is pure. And verily Allah commanded the believers what He commanded the Messengers, for He Most High said: ‘O Messengers! ‘” (Quran 23:51)

It is mentioned that certain requirements should be met in order for our Duas to be answered:

Your income must be legal.

Your food must be pure and halal.

You must do penance (do tawba) for your sins.

You should remove all unlawful things from your life.

Make sure you do the basics: pray five times a day, pay zakat, fast in Ramadan, etc.

You should do dua with sincerity and a focused mind and heart.

You should feel with absolute conviction that Allah SWT will answer your dua and no one but He can answer. The Prophet said:

“Call upon Allah while firmly believing that He will answer, and realize that Allah does not answer the dua that emanates from a heedless, unobservant heart.” (Tirmidhi)

Giving the thing asked for, ward off the harm that would otherwise have befallen a person, or as a gift that awaits the person in the next life (this is the best form of Dua answered as mentioned in Hadith Ahmed) .

Performing a good deed before your dua and saying it during your dua (as was done by the three men trapped in a cave by a large rock: each of them made a dua and mentioned a good deed, and the Rocks moved a little with each dua until they could escape – Sahih Bukhari).

To begin and end the dua with praise from Allah SWT.

To send greetings and peace to our beloved Prophet PBUH. A Companion once sat down to make dua and began to praise Allah and salute the Prophet, to which he replied:

“Please, and you will be given. Ask and you will be given.” (Tirmidhi)

In general, trying to keep your tongue wet with the praises of Allah, because gratitude itself increases blessings. Allah SWT says:

“Verily, if you show me gratitude, I will certainly increase you” (14:7). And the Prophet (SAW) emphasized this when he said: “The very best dua is Alhamdulillah (All praise be to Allah).” [Sahih Ibn Hibban]

If possible, pray salat-ul haja (the prayer of need).

How it all comes together…

Begin your dua by:

Confirmation of your belief in Allah SWT – Shahadah.

Asking him for forgiveness – Istighfar.

Praise Allah SWT – Al-Hamd.

Sending blessings upon the Prophet PBUH – Salawaat.

The Prophet said:

“Indeed, all praise is due to Allah. We praise Him and ask Him for help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our souls and our misdeeds. Whom Allah guides, no one can mislead; no one can lead.” (Muslim)

Here is an example of how to prepare for Dua:

Say the Shahada – I testify that there is no god but Allah alone without a partner and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

Say Astaghfirullah x 3 – I ask forgiveness from Allah.

Say Alhumdulillah x 3 – praise be to God.

Say Subhanallah x 3 Glory to God.

Say Allahu Akbar x 3 – God is great.

Say Salallahu Alayhi Wassalam x 3 – Peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.

Invoke Allah with longing, longing and humiliation using His best name Al-Hayy (The Ever-Living) Al-Qayyum (The Self-Sustaining).

Express your need for Him and place all your hope in Him alone.

Tell your Lord that you have no one to turn to and follow the Sunnah to raise your hands when making dua, ideally in the state of wudu and facing the qibla.

Allah SWT says:

“Call upon your Lord with utmost humility and confidentiality” (Quran 7:55)

He SWT also says:

“And invoke Him with fear and longing: Verily Allah’s mercy is near to men of excellence.” (Quran 7:56)

Remember…

We should not have fear in our hearts that our dua will not be answered because of our shortcomings or because we feel that we don’t deserve it.

We are told that our “longing” for Allah to answer our dua out of His boundless generosity and mercy should overcome this fear.

Invoking Allah SWT for our needs is an act of worship and Allah loves to be invoked.

It is the shaytaan’s ruse when he makes us believe that we are not worthy of our dua being accepted. Make sure you have that frame of mind that makes you think you are humble when in fact you are too arrogant to ask your Lord for help. After all we are nothing without Allah SWT so do we really think we don’t need to ask for His help? Prophet PBUH taught us that Dua is:

“The Essence of Worship.” (Tirmidhi)

We should be patient and realize that Allah SWT fully knows our problems and is in full control of our circumstances. He will respond to our dua based on what is best for us and at the most appropriate time.

We must persist in our dua and not give up if we don’t get an immediate response.

When our dua is answered, we should remember that Allah SWT knows what is best for us, even if we don’t like the result at first.

The Prophet said:

“The slave will be answered as long as his dua does not involve sin or breaking family ties, and as long as he is not hasty. It was said, ‘What does being hasty mean?’ He said, ‘When he says, ‘I made dua, and I made dua, but I didn’t see any reaction,’ so he gets frustrated and stops making dua .'” (Sahih Muslim)

Allah SWT says:

“Perhaps you would hate something while it is good for you, and perhaps you would like something that is bad for you – Allah knows and you do not know.” (Quran 2:216)

He SWT also says:

“Perhaps you would hate something, but Allah puts much, much good in it.” (Quran 4:19)

Allah SWT will give us only His good pleasure (rida) and divine providence (‘inaya); we just have to ask!

You may know these two names of Allah Ar-Rahman and Ar-Raheem. But do you know their meaning?

These two of the 99 names of Allah refer to Allah’s character of being merciful and forgiving.

However, there is a difference, Ar-Rahman refers to the vastness of Allah’s mercy, and Ar-Raheem specifically refers to His mercy bestowed upon His creation.

He is the only one who is most kind and loving towards all of his creation. He is all-encompassing and embraces everyone who asks for his help.

But the abundance of Allah’s Rahma (Mercy) will not reach you unless your intentions and actions are pure. Only when you are truly sincere do you deserve Allah’s mercy. This cannot be faked, Allah knows the real intention in a person’s heart.

In Surah Al A’raf Ayat 56 it says: “And invoke Him in fear and aspiration. Verily, the mercy of Allah is near to those who do good.”

A number of terms are used in Islam to refer to claims of events that cannot be explained by natural or scientific law, subjects on which people sometimes invoke the supernatural.[1] In the Quran, the term āyah ( ; Arabic: آية; plural: آيات āyāt, literally “signs”) refers to signs related to miracles of God’s creation and the Prophets and Messengers (such as Ibrahim/Abraham and Isa/Jesus) .[2 ] In later Islamic sources, miracles of the Prophets were denoted by Muʿjiza (مُعْجِزَة[2], which literally means “that by which [the Prophet] confuses, overwhelms his opponents”), while miracles of saints are denoted as karamat (charismata) ). [3] I’jaz al-Quran – literally the inimitability of the Qur’an – refers to the Qur’an’s assertion that no one can hope to imitate its (the Qur’an) perfection,[2] this quality being considered the most important miracle of the Qur’an and proof of the prophethood viewed by Muhammad. In recent decades, “I’jaz” has also referred to the belief that the Qur’an contains “scientific miracles”, i.e. prophecies of scientific discoveries.[4] Kharq al’adad – “a break in God’s usual order of things” – was a term used in “theological or philosophical discussions” to refer to miraculous events.[2] Karamat – “gifts or graces” – was usually used for miraculous performances by Sufi saints, often used to convert infidels to Islam (it is considered a work of “divine generosity” rather than “divine power” used in used in the miracles of the prophets).[2]

A systematic definition of the miracles performed by apostles can be found in the work of the Muslim scholar al-Īd̲j̲ī Mawāḳif, the historian A.J. Wensinck explains.[5] The main purpose of the miracle is to prove the apostle’s sincerity and must meet the following conditions:[5]

It must be done by God “It must be contrary to the ordinary course of things” It should be impossible to contradict him “It must be by the hand of him who claims to be an apostle “It must be in accordance with his pronouncement of it, and the miracle itself must not be a denial of its claim” “It must follow its claim”[5]

Belief in what is transmitted through Mutawatir is obligatory for Sunni Muslims. Rejection of what is mutawatir is, according to the unanimous opinion of Sunni scholars, a reason to leave Islam. The Qur’an is narrated by Mutawatir and therefore every verse must be believed, including all references to a miracle of a prophet. In addition, there are several Hadith reports narrating miracles of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad that are also narrated by Mutawatir. Such hadiths and miracles must also be believed in fully in order to be a Muslim. However, to reject an ahad or solitary narration is only sin (fisq) and not disbelief.[6][7][8][9]

Miracles are divided into Karamat and Mu’jizat, the former being given by God to the Saints and the latter being given by God exclusively to the Prophets. In Al-Aqidah al-Tahawiyyah, on which there is consensus, we find two points on this: We do not favor any of the saints of this nation over any of the Prophets, peace be upon them. We say that one prophet is better than all the saints combined. We believe in what has come out of their miracles (karamat) and what has been confirmed in their narrations by trustworthy narrators.”[10]

Al-Taftazani lists the following miracles performed by saints and prophets:[11]

Going against the usual, e.g. B. to cover a large distance in a short time.

Appearance of food and drink and clothing in time of need as performed by Zechariah

walking on water, related to many saints

walk in the air, related to Ja’far ibn Abi Talib

speak of inanimate solid objects and of animals

Defense against approaching disaster and protection from enemies

Islam and natural law[edit]

To defend the possibility of miracles and God’s omnipotence against the intrusion of the independent secondary causes, medieval Muslim theologians essentially rejected the idea of ​​cause and effect, but accepted it as something that facilitates human exploration and understanding of natural processes. They argued that nature is composed of uniform atoms that are “created anew” by God at every moment. So if the ground were to fall, God would have to create and recreate the accident of gravity as long as the ground would fall. For Muslim theologians, the laws of nature were just the usual sequence of apparent causes: customs of God.[12]

According to Denis Gril, Islam teaches that miracles – that is, supernatural interventions in human life – are present in the Koran “in three senses: in sacred history, in connection with Muhammad himself and in relation to revelation.”[1 ] Im In contrast, Ali Dashti (d. 1982) writes that “there has been much debate . . . as to whether the Qur’an is wonderful in eloquence or in subject or both. In general, Muslim scholars consider it wonderful on both counts.”[13]

In the Qur’an, the term ayah is used to refer to miracles – cosmic phenomena are for example ayat takwiniyyah – specifically miracles of creation.[14] But it is also used to mean “evidence”, “sign”, “verse of the Qur’an” (religious obligations are ayat taklifiyyah). In Islam in general, ayah is often used for a common Qur’anic verse, but there is an overlap in meaning: ayat/verses are considered the divine speech in human language presented by Muhammad as his main miracle[1] and miracles are a ” sign” (ayah) of God and of the Prophethood of Muhammad. [5]

Among the verses of the Qur’an that state that the Qur’an itself is a miracle – i.e. H. so amazing it couldn’t have been a natural occurrence – include:

Q11:13 [15] Will they say he falsified the Koran? The Qur’an does not mention a miracle for Adam (Adem), who, although an Islamic prophet, was not supposed to convince anyone of God’s message.[1] Sura (verse) 11 (Hūd) and 23 (Al-Mu’minun)[19] mention miracles of Noah (Nuh), “The Furnace (Tannur) from which the water erupted and heralded the flood.”[1] Hud , prophet for the ancient tribe of ʿĀd and the first of five Arabic Qur’anic prophets, has no particular miracle (hence according to historian Denis Gril, who anticipates Muhammad).[1] (See Q.7:69 for his response when rebuked for not performing a miracle.)[1]

Code 19[edit]

The term Quranic Code (also known as Code 19) refers to the claim that the Quranic text contains a hidden mathematically complex code. Proponents believe that the code provides mathematical proof of the Qur’an’s divine authorship, and they also believe that it can be used to identify spelling errors in the Qur’anic text. Proponents of the Quran code claim that the Quran code is based on statistical methods.

In the United States, the Egyptian Quranist and Muslim biochemist Rashad Khalifa developed a theological doctrine in the late 20th century that influenced Quranists in many other countries. With the help of computers, he performed a numerical analysis of the Qur’an, which in his opinion clearly proved that it is of divine origin.[20] In this, the number 19, mentioned in the Quran in chapter 74 as “one of the greatest miracles”, played the fundamental role[21] which according to the Khalifa is found throughout the structure of the Quran, and the fact that a The Quranist discovered such a great miracle and proved the Qur’anist’s approach.[22] Khalifa also quoted Qur’an, chapter 74, verse 30: “Above that is nineteen.”[23][24] The movement popularized the phrase: “The Qur’an, the whole Qur’an and nothing but the Qur’an.”[25] Some protested against this belief and in 1990 Khalifa was assassinated by someone associated with the Sunni group Jamaat ul-Fuqra. 26]

Ijaz movement[ edit ]

Beginning in the 1970s and 80s, a “popular literature known as Ijaz” often referred to as the “scientific marvels in the Qur’an” argued that the Qur’an was rich in “scientific facts” centuries before their discovery by science, and demonstrated with the fact that the Koran must be of divine origin.[27] Among these marvels found in the Qur’an is “everything from relativity, quantum mechanics, the big bang theory, black holes and pulsars, genetics, embryology, modern geology, thermodynamics, even lasers and hydrogen fuel cells.”[4] “Distributed and well-funded”[28] with “millions” from Saudi Arabia[4] the literature can be found in Muslim bookstores as well as Islamic preachers’ websites and television programs.[4] According to author Ziauddin Sardar, the movement has unleashed a “global madness in Muslim societies.”[4]

However, the Ijaz movement has been criticized by scholars.[4][29][30][31] Ziauddin Sardar argues that it takes “considerable mental gymnastics and distortions to find any scientific fact or theory in these verses.”[4] According to Zafar Ishaq Ansari, the Qur’an is the source of guidance in right belief (iman) and righteous action ( alladhina amanu wa amilu l-salihat), but the idea that it contained “all knowledge, including scientific” knowledge was not a common view in Muslim scholarship.[29]

Uneducated Prophet[ edit ]

The Qur’an describes Muhammad as ummi (Q7:157),[32] which is traditionally interpreted as “uneducated”,[33][34] and such a person’s ability to produce the Qur’an is considered miraculous[34] and as a sign of the authenticity of his prophethood. For example, according to Fakhr al-Din al-Razi, if Muhammad had mastered writing and reading, he might have been suspected of having studied the books of the ancestors. Some scholars like Watt prefer the second meaning.[35][36]

However, some scholars [who?] argue that the word does not mean “illiterate” but rather Gentile and non-Christian Arabs, Gentile Arabs [clarification needed].[34]

Scientific wonders[edit]

The Qur’an’s scientific miracle theory claims that the Qur’an has a miracle in expressing scientific material (some modern scientific discoveries unknown at the time of writing the Qur’an). The history of writing related to the science and religion of Islam dates back to the works of Ibn Sina, Fakhr al-Razi and Abu Hamid al-Ghazali, but has increased significantly in recent times. Authors in this field include Naeem Al-Mohassi, Maurice Bukay, Rafiei Mohammadi, Mostarhameh, Makarem Shirazi and Rezaei Isfahani. These interpretations claim that some verses of the Qur’an reflect prophetic statements about the nature and structure of the universe, physics, fetal biological growth, biological evolution, geology, mountain structure and other phenomena that were later confirmed by scientific research. This group of Quranic commentators presents this as proof of the Quran’s divinity. [37][38][39]

Mohammed[edit]

According to historian Denis Gril, the Qur’an does not openly describe Muhammad performing miracles, and the greatest miracle of Muhammad is eventually identified with the Qur’an itself.[1] At least one scholar (Sunni scholar Muhammad Asad) states that Muhammad performed no miracles other than bringing the Qur’an to mankind,[40] and other scholars, such as Cyril Glasse and Marcia Hermansen, downplay Muhammad’s miracles, saying: “They play no role in Islamic theology”[41] or “play less of an evidentiary role than in some other religions”.[2]

However, Muslim tradition (Hadith) ascribes several supernatural events to Muhammad.[5] For example, many Muslim commentators and some Western scholars have interpreted Sura 54 (Al-Qamar)[42] as referring to Muhammad splitting the moon in the face of the Quraysh when they began persecuting his followers.[1 ][43] This tradition has inspired many Muslim poets.[44]

Old Age – Authentic Dua & Dhikr

Imam Muslim – rahimahullah – narrated in his Sahih (The Book of Remembrance, Supplication, Repentance and Seeking Forgiveness): [No. 2722]:

“Abu Bakr ibn Abee Shaybah, Ishaaq ibn Ibraaheem and Muhammad ibn ‘Abdillaah ibn Numayr narrated to us – and the wording is that of Ibn Numayr: Abu Mu’aawiyah (Ishaaq said: ‘He told us’; and the other two said: ‘ He told us): from ‘Aasim: from ‘Abdullaah ibn al-Haarith; and from Abu ‘Uthmaan an-Nahdi: from Zayd ibn Arqam who said: I will not tell you anything except what Allah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم used to say. He used to say:

اللّّهُمّ إِنِّي ا ا وَالْكْكسَ وَالْكْكسَ وَالْجُْجُنِ ْالْْْْ وَ ذ ذ ذ ذ ا ا الْقْقْقْقْقْق الْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْق الْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْق الْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْق الْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْقْق Org specific or

Allaahumma innee a’oodhu bika min ‘ilmin laa yanfa’u, wa min qalbin laa yakh-sha’u, wa min nafsin laa tashba’u, wa min da’watin laa yustajaabu lahaa.

“O Allah! I seek your refuge from incompetence, laziness, cowardice, avarice, old age and the death penalty. O Allah! Grant my soul its duty (taqwaa) and purify it, You are the one who purifies it: You are its guardian and its lord. O Allah! I seek your refuge from useless knowledge, from a heart that is not humble, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from an unheard-of supplication.’”

Also narrated by Ahmad (4/371), at-Tirmidhi (no. 3572) – in abbreviated form, and by an-Nasaa ee (no. 5458).

Imam Abu Zakariyya an-Nawawee -rahimahullah- (d. 676 H) said in his statement on Sahih Muslim:

“This Hadith and others that appear in rhyme form are proof of what the scholars say: that it is censurable to make it in rhyme form, which is artificially invented, for that removes humility, subservience and sincerity; and it diverts from humble supplications, shows the state of need, and shows that the heart is free from sorrow. As for what is done without artificial skill and thought, because of a person’s eloquence and the like, or it is something memorized, then it is not harmful but is a good thing.

And the meaning of (a soul that is never satisfied) is seeking refuge from desire, greed, and greed; and of the souls clinging to distant hopes;

and the meaning of (to purify) is to purify it;

and the word “Khayr” (the best) is not meant to show excellence over others, but its meaning is: none but you can purify it; as he said: “You are his (only) guardian.”

Imam Abul-`Abbaas al-Qurtubee -rahimahullah- (d. 656 H) said in his explanation of Sahih Muslim, al-Mufhim (7/50):

“(O Allah! I seek Your refuge from knowledge which is of no use): it is that which is not acted upon…”

Al-Haafiz Muhammad `Abdur-Rahmaan al-Mubaarakfooree -rahimahullaah- (d. 1353 H) said in his explanation of the “Sunan” of at-Tirmidhi, “TuhfatulAhwadhi” (10/14):

“(out of cowardice): …i.e. from being stingy with one’s soul and not being brave in obedience; and he took refuge from it because it leads to punishment in the Hereafter, because he will flee from the battlefield and enter under threat of Allah’s punishment: for whoever flees deserves wrath from Allah; and he may be tried in his religion and so become an apostate, overcome with cowardice and afraid of captivity and slavery;

(…stinginess ):…i.e. of failure to benefit others with wealth and knowledge and with others than these two; even if it is with sincere advice. at-Teebee said: “Generosity is either with one’s own soul, which is bravery, and its opposite is cowardice; or with wealth, and it is generous in giving, and its opposite is stinginess; and bravery and generosity will only be found combined in a perfect soul; and they will not both fail except in one that is on the verge of want;

…(…lapsed old age):…it is senility, so that a person becomes again what he originally was when he was a baby: weak in body, weak in intellect, weak in understanding;…it is the state of senility and too weak to perform obligatory duties and take care of themselves in relation to cleaning; thus he becomes dependent on his family; a burden to them, and they desire his death; and if he has no family, then the misfortune is worse…

(and of the punishment of the grave): signifying of what its punishment requires…”

Mullaa `Alee al-Qaari said in his Mirqaatul-Mafaatih 95/369):

“(O Allah! I seek your refuge from incapacity): means inability to perform acts of obedience and lack of power for worship; (and laziness): means to be lazy to do good;

(Cowardice): i.e. lack of courage to oppose one’s soul and Satan;

(and stinginess): i.e., refraining from spending one’s wealth in a manner pleasing to the Lord; (and decrepit old age): i.e., becoming senile and decrepit old age so that, having attained knowledge, he returns to a state of knowing nothing;

(and the punishment of the grave): pertaining to narrowness, darkness, desolation; and being beaten with iron clubs and bitten by scorpions, snakes, and the like; or from the punishment therein for bearing stories, and for not cleansing, and the like;

(O Allah! Grant): i.e. give; (my soul its duty): i.e. that it is protected from what is forbidden. at-Teebee said: It is fitting that “taqwaa” is explained as the opposite of evil deeds, as in His saying “He the Most High”:

فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا

[Soratush Shams (9):8] [[meaning: thus he drew his attention to acts of obedience and acts of disobedience]];

and it is to be wary of following one’s desires and committing sinful and shameful deeds, for the Hadith is like an explanation and a clarification of the Aayah. So his saying “Grant” shows that the meaning of (al-ilhaam) “to inspire/giving awareness” in the Aayah is to create the impulse that makes him avoid the things mentioned;

and his saying (and purifies it, You are the one who purifies it): shows that the purification of the soul mentioned in the Aayah is an attribution of something the servant has earned, and not his creation of the action – how the Mu`tazilah is claimed…;

(You are his guardian): i.e. the one who supports and helps him. This refers to his saying “Give my soul its duty”. it is as if he were saying: help him to do everything that can make you happy with it, since you are his keeper; (and its master): this refers to his saying “and purify it”, i.e. purify it by correcting and disciplining it as a master disciplines a slave…;

(O Allah! I seek Your refuge from knowledge which is of no use): at-Teebi said: ‘Knowledge means which I do not act upon and which I do not teach people; and not refined the manners, speech, and deeds; or knowledge not needed in religion; or who finds no permission in religion to teach them…;

(and from a heart that is not humble): i.e. that finds no peace and rest in the remembrance of Allah;

(and of a soul that is never satisfied): with what Allah has given it; and it is not enough with the provision that Allah has given him; therefore, because of his great desire, he never tires of accumulating wealth; or of a soul that eats a lot. Ibnul-Malik said: What is meant is his zeal to accumulate wealth and acquire positions; or it is said: it is up to what comes out of it: either because of his desire: his desire for this world so that he is unable to devour enough to satisfy his hunger; or that the hunger of cows overwhelms him, the hunger of the parts of the body even when the stomach is full: the opposite of the craving found in dogs; (and of a supplication that is not answered)…”

Recite These Most Powerful Dua For Miracle

We all go through difficult times in our lives. In fact, some seem like they are impossible to conquer and overcome. But we forget what Allah has graciously revealed to us as an assurance.

“Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity.” [Holy Quran; 2:286]

Of course, despite our best efforts, there comes a point when a sense of hopelessness lingers. Trust me, I’ve been at this point many times when life threw me its curve balls! So today I want to share with you all a powerful weapon that I can say without a doubt is miraculously effective.

NAMAZ E TAHAJJUD:

The Salah of Tahajjud is a spiritual prayer that can be said to be the ultimate form of communication between you and your Rabb. It allows you to be at peace mentally that after such a powerful spiritual act either your prayers will be answered but if not then you will surely be guided by Allah to what is best for you.

Although Tahajjud can be performed after Isha prayers, it is recommended to do it in the third half of the night, just before Fajar. There are two ways of praying Tahajjud, the longer form and the shorter form.

I know fajar is difficult to wake up from deep sleep but if you can wake up 5 minutes for fajar before starting your day then why not wake up a few minutes earlier to perform tahajjud? If you choose the shorter method of Tahajjud, it only takes 15 minutes. Basically, taking 20 minutes of your whole day at the recommended time just before sunrise is what can change your whole life!

Here is how you can do the shorter method Tahajjud:

1. NAMAZ E SHAFA:

It has two rakats. In the first rakat after Surah Fatihah, recite Surah al-Ikhlas or Surah al-Falaq. In the second rakat, recite only Surah Fatihah and Surah al-Nas and finish the Namaz. Qunoot is not recited in this namaz. After finishing the namaz, recite Tasbeeh e Janab e Fatima (34 times Allah hu Akbar, 33 times Alhamdulillah, 33 times SubhanAllah) and pray to Allah. The supplication will surely be answered, for this is the proper time for granting prayers. Then recite Namaz e Witr after performing Sajdah Shukr.

2. NAMAZ REVITR

This namaz has a rakat. In this prayer, Surah Fatihah, recite Surah al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq, Surah al-Nas three times each. Then raise your hands and recite the following Qunut.

LAA ELAAHA ILAL LAAHUL HALEEMUL KAREEM, LAA ELAAHA ILAL LAAHUL A’LIYYUL A’ZEEM, SUBHAANAL LAAHE RABBIS SAMAAWAATIS SAB-E’ WA RABBIL ARZEENAS SAB-E’ WA MAA FEEHINNA WA MAA BAYNAHUNNA WAMAA FAWQAHUNNA WA MAA TAHTAHUNNA WA HOWA RABBUL A’RSHUNNA A’ZEEM WA SALAAMUN A’LAL MURSALEENA WAL HAMDO LILLAAHE RABBIL A’ALAMEENA YAA ALLAAHUL LAZEE LAYSA KAMISLEHI SHAY-UN WA HOWAS SAMEE-U’L BASEERO WA SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADIN WA AALE MOHAMMAD.

It is also recommended to cry or even try to cry during the qunut for fear of Almighty Allah and for fear of His chastisement. It is also desirable to pray to Almighty Allah for the welfare of his fellow believers, whether dead or alive, with the following words:.

‘ALLAHUMMAGH FIR LE HAAZAA……

It is also highly advisable to repeat the following request seventy times while raising your left hand in supplication and counting with your right hand:

ASTAGFERUL LAAHA RABBI WA ATUBO ELAYHE.

Then say the following supplication:

RABBIGH-FIR LEE WARHAMNEE WA TUB A’LAYYA INNAKA ANTAT-TAWWABUR RAHEEM.

You can then prostrate and perform the prayer. After completion you can say Tasbih al-Zahra. After that you can say:

AL-HAMDO LE-RABBIS SABAAHE AL-HAMDO LE-FAALEQIL ISBAAHE.

3. Dua e Hazeen

It is also very advisable to say the following supplication called Dua e Hazeen (The Supplication of the Sorrowful).

O Allah bless Muhammad and his family.

I whisper to You, O One Who is present in every place, that You may hear my call, for surely my sin is excessive and my shame lesser, my Master, oh my Master, which of the terrible states shall I remember and which one should I remember? forget it, because if there were nothing but death, would it be enough, then what is greater and much worse after death? My Master O my Master until when and until when will I keep saying it’s my fault, but then you won’t find any truth or faithfulness in me? I call for help and I call for help, O Allah, from desires that have overcome me and from the enemy that has pounced on me and from the world that attracts me and from the soul that leads to evil leads, except him on whom my Lord is gracious (12:53)

My master, oh my master, if you have been gracious to my kind, have mercy on me, and if you have accepted from my kind, then accept from me, o one who accepts the morning prayer, accept me, oh one who, I still know only good things of Him, O One who nourishes me with blessings morning and evening, have mercy on me when I come to you alone, my eyes fixed on you, my deeds borne on my neck, when all creation of will withdraw from me, yes even my father and my mother and those for whom I have worked and fought, if you will not have mercy on me, who will have mercy on me, who will comfort me from the loneliness of the grave and make me speak when I’m alone with my actions and when will you ask me what you know better than I do? If I then say yes (to my sins), where will the escape from Your righteousness be? And if I say I didn’t commit it, will you say, wasn’t I a witness for you? So (I beg) your forgiveness, your pardon, oh my master, before you wear the clothes of hell. your forgiveness. Your forgiveness, oh my master, from hell and fire. your forgiveness. Your forgiveness, O my Master, before hands are tied around neck, the most merciful and best of forgivers.

You can then prostrate and repeat the following five times:

SUBBOOHUN QUDDOOSUN RABBUL MALAAA-EKATE WAR ROOH.

Recite Ayatul Kursi

Then recite five more times

SUBBOOHUN QUDDOOSUN RABBUL MALAAA-EKATE WAR ROOH.
