What are the legal implications of ownership? I’m seeing more and more kids using these in Wayzata.

Brass Knuckles is a type or brand of cannabis (marijuana) vape cartridges. They are flavored cannabis oil distillate (which is a marijuana concentrate, making it a criminal offense in the state of Minnesota).

ASK ALI – Cannabis Vape Cartridges

They come in cartridge form with a full gram of marijuana concentrate and pride themselves on offering “the ultimate flavor experience and the most potent THC available”. They come in flavored concentrates ranging from banana to Girl Scout Cookie.

For example, the one pictured is the Skywalker OG Cartridge, which the Brass Knuckles website describes as “an indica-dominant hybrid that will take users to a galaxy far, far away. this strain delivers a euphoric sedation while elevating the user at the same time.”

Using a vape pen or e-cigarette device to consume cannabis concentrate is often referred to as “dabbing”. Given the highly concentrated intake of the potent THC (the active ingredient in marijuana), the effects on the user can be far more significant than when using herbal marijuana. Many problems after use have been reported as hallucinations, anxiety, panic attacks, paranoia and other psychological symptoms. They have also proven to be highly addictive due to the euphoric high.

Vape pens are generally very discreet and due to the flavors added it is often difficult to distinguish between nicotine vape oil and marijuana vape oil. While they appear to be less harmful than regular smoking, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

What do the colors on my vape pen mean?

Battery and Cartridge Basics

The v1 has three heat settings denoted by different colors– green is low, blue is medium and red is high. To adjust the heat level, press the button three times, and the color will change along with the setting. For the best flavor and oil longevity, we recommend using your v1 on low heat.

for consumers looking for a reliable, high-quality powerhouse for their 510 threaded vape cartridges.

While using it may seem as simple as pressing a button and taking a rip, there are some best practices that can help you maximize your experience. We’ll fill you in on what you should know about your vape pen and cartridge, where problems can arise, and what you can do to extend the life of your devices and have a cleaner, smoother vaping experience.

Basics: Three settings (low, medium, high) with low/medium temperatures as recommended temperatures to fully enjoy Sanctuary cars

Three settings (low, medium, high) with low/medium as recommended temperatures for proper enjoyment of Sanctuary wagons How to Use: Press the button, wait half a second, exhale a second or two earlier

Push the button, wait half a second, inhale, release a second or two early hits: Take several smaller, smoother hits on low heat for the best experience and to preserve the flavor of the wagon

Make several smaller, smoother hits over low heat for the best experience and to preserve the chariot flavor

To power up the v1, simply screw on your compatible cartridge (all Sanctuary carts will work with the v1, but there are numerous other battery options), quickly press the mug button five times and wait for it to light up.

The v1 has three heat settings denoted by different colors – green is low, blue is medium and red is high. To set the heat level, press the button three times and the color will change along with the setting. For the best flavor and shelf life of the oil, we recommend using your v1 on a low heat. If you’re looking for bigger hits, increase the setting to medium.

We STRONGLY advise against using the high heat setting for a number of reasons. The atomizer doesn’t need to be that hot to vaporize cannabis oil properly, and elevated temperatures will overload the cartridge capacity while making your device more prone to clogging. Even if the cartridge doesn’t return, the oil and atomizer will carbonize, affecting the flavor and overall experience for the life of that cartridge.

We know some of our consumers prefer the huge cloud experience, in which case we recommend dapping some of our delicious concentrates instead. More hits on medium heat are better for the health of your cartridge, more efficient in terms of how your body absorbs cannabinoids, and tastier overall.

With the vape

The v1 is triggered at the push of a button. Pressing the button activates the coil which in turn powers the heating coil inside the atomizer and vaporizes the cannabis oil inside. For the best experience, press the button, wait half a second, start inhaling, and release the button a second or two before your draw ends.

You don’t have to press the button multiple times during a draw; The heated, vaporized oil is naturally drawn into the chamber once the coil is fired. If you heat the oil without drawing on the vape you will char the product and lose flavor and vaporization in the rest of the cartridge. Releasing the button before completing the draw helps cool the atomizer and the oil around it, preserving flavor and preventing clogging.

take the hit

As for techniques, the impulse can be to take a strong hit with lots of suction to get a big hit. However, it is better to pretend to smoke a joint or cigarette when using the vape pen as it does not require as much airflow. As mentioned, the device vaporizes while also naturally drawing more oil into the chamber, so it doesn’t take much enthusiasm when drawing to get a clean, solid hit. Bigger, more aggressive hits deliver raspier hits that work harder on the lungs and increase the potential for clogs.

For the best experience, we recommend taking several smaller, smoother hits on low heat rather than one monster hit. Like hitting a joint, use your cheek muscles to draw the vapor into your mouth before inhaling it into your lungs. You’ll still be able to pull off a big, compressed draw since soft draws are generally longer.

Troubleshooting clogs

All vape pens are prone to clogging, especially if you use a heat setting that is too high. Should your cartridge become clogged, there is a heating feature built into the v1 unit that can help clear the blockage. This should only be used to clear clogs; As discussed above, preheating the oil is unnecessary and can cause charring and additional clogging and will not result in a bigger hit.

To access the keep warm function, quickly press the mug twice. This triggers a low voltage current to be passed through the atomizer to begin heating up the device. After double-tapping, wait three to five seconds before gently dragging the pen. Don’t inhale the fumes (in and out of your mouth, just like you would with a cigar), but puff lightly several times to allow the timer to count down over the course of 15 seconds. This should clear the clog and allow you to get on with your vape as usual.

More severe blockages may require a more complex solution. Often the solution can be as simple as running a toothpick down and back up the mouthpiece opening of a cartridge to dislodge oil buildup in the vapor shaft. This should be done at room temperature of the cartridge (not just after a hit when the cartridge is still hot inside).

If that’s not enough, the staff at one of our Sanctuary Dispensaries will be happy to look around and answer any other questions you might have about vape batteries, cartridges, issues, troubleshooting and more. With these do’s and don’ts, you should be well on your way to maximizing your marijuana vaping experience, so be sure to check out the vape cartridge menu at your nearest Sanctuary dispensary!

Why is pen blinking 10 times?

Sometimes, a pen blinking ten times can mean that the voltage level is too low despite the battery being properly charged. In this case, you need to look at the battery connections of your device. Most often, this happens because the connections are either dirty or not lining up exactly with the battery.

Brass Knuckles 900mAh Adjustable Battery

Most of us are very dedicated to our vape pens, taking them with us wherever we go and taking proper care of them to make them last. But even the highest quality vape pens can give us a little trouble from time to time. It is also important to clean your vape regularly as natural wear and tear issues such as clogged cartridges can also affect your vape.

We must remember that every electronic device that we use regularly can have a bug every now and then, whether it’s on the part of the manufacturer or because of a mistake we made.

Today we are going to talk about the most common mistake that occurs in vaping circles which is an e-cigarette that flashes 10 times. When your oil pen blinks 10 times, it usually means one of several things. We’re going to go into detail so you know why this is happening and what you can do about it.

Always read the manual that comes with your vaping setup

If your standard or disposable vape pen flashes 10 times, your best bet is to consult your device’s manual. In this guide you will find a guide to various error messages that your vaping device can give you while you are using it.

We’ve created this guide because we know that many vapers throw away or misplace their user manual and therefore cannot refer to it when encountering this common error message. So if that applies to you, read on.

Why this vape pen flashes 10 times

If your vape pen or dab pen flashes 10 times, it means something is wrong with your device. Read on to diagnose the exact cause as these are the four most common culprits.

Reason #1: Battery is dying

More often than not, a device that blinks 10 times is trying to tell you that the battery is too low to vape properly. We know that when the Yocan Evolve Plus XL flashes 10 times, the device needs to be charged. If the G Pen flashes 10 times, the battery is basically dead. The simple solution to this problem is to simply charge the battery.

Reason #2: Excessively long hits

Some devices will blink 10 times if you’ve unplugged your device for too long. Devices are designed to shut off automatically if you take in too big a puff. If so, try taking a smaller puff next time.

Reason #3: Voltage level is too low

Sometimes a pen that blinks 10 times can mean that the voltage level is too low even though the battery is properly charged. In this case, you need to look at the battery connections of your device. Most of the time this happens because the connectors are either dirty or not properly aligned with the battery. Make the necessary adjustments to continue vaping.

Reason #4: You need a new device

Another reason that is a bit more serious is that your device is just dead. Even the highest quality vape pens aren’t built to last, and sometimes those ten blinks can be the flashes of death. For example, users report that the Pax 2 blinking blue 10 times usually means it needs to be replaced entirely. Similarly, many find that the Evolve Plus’s battery won’t charge once it starts blinking 10 times, meaning a new device will be needed to take its place. For our list of the most popular devices, check out our guide to the 10 best pod systems.

Don’t ignore the blinking light

If your cartridge battery pin is blinking, it means something is not working in your vaping setup. The good news is that this is a fairly common error message that is easy to diagnose and fix. Use the guide above to find out the most common reasons for a pen blinking 10 times.

Why is my pen blinking three times?

3 – VAPE PEN BLINKING 3 TIMES

It’s common for some vape pen batteries to stop working because of a short circuit, and this is usually indicated with the light blinking 3 times. It can also mean there is a chance there is not a good connection being established with the vape cartridge and battery.

Safe and effective THC oil pen maintenance is important, and in this article we will show you how to properly use and care for your cartridge. While the basics include inserting the cartridge and inhaling — with a few simple vape pen care tips — you’ll greatly extend the life of your pen, keep your cartridges running at peak performance, and avoid spilling your oil pen.

Here are a few simple vape battery tricks for your O.penVAPE vaporizer batteries, chargers and cartridges (We decided to update our guide to cover some of the most common problems and solutions for all vape pen batteries You will be able to quickly fix the problem by reading our vape pen battery guide and learn the solution if there is one. This guide was written by an actual user of THC cartridges and batteries with 510 thread. Gain insights from someone who vapes daily and has learned a thing or two that can help you achieve the best vaping experience with THC cartridges and 510 thread batteries.):

Avoid unintentionally making the same mistakes many beginners experience by reading our helpful guide below. By following these simple tips, you can prevent losing valuable oil from your 510 thread cartridge.

1 – AVOID EXTREME TEMPERATURE OIL CARTRIDGES WITH 510 THREAD

Leaving your THC vape pen in the car or exposing it to extreme temperature changes can cause the cannabis oil to become highly viscous and result in a leaking cartridge – it’s like leaving a tube of lip balm in a hot car – mess ensues! Prevent leaks from occurring by following each of our vape pen tips and staying away from hot environments.

2 – AVOID HUGE ELEVATIONS AND TEMPERATURE CHANGES

While O.pen vaporizer pens are the perfect companion from the beach to the mountains, try to avoid drastic changes in altitude and temperature as this can cause the oil to leak out of the cartridge. Much like leaving a sealed shampoo bottle in your checked bag on an airplane, proper care and storage of the vape pen will prevent leakage.

3 – PROTECT YOUR THC CARTRIDGE

Cracking your brand new oil cartridge because of an accidental drip can be the worst experience. A simple solution is to use an O.pen protective case, or you can buy a cheap pen or pen grip that can be found on Amazon for just a few dollars. These inexpensive but effective products will adequately protect your 510 thread cartridge from cracking when dropped and prevent valuable oil from being lost.

4 – AVOID DRAWING TOO STRONG ON YOUR VAPE

It is important to inhale gently to avoid drawing up cannabis oil, which is not common. It’s more likely towards the end of a cartridge, and especially if you’ve vaped a cartridge a lot, the cannabis oil will become thin enough between multiple people to flow through the mouthpiece. We recommend letting the oil cartridge cool down before taking another hit with the vape pen. Frequent use will cause the cartridge to become warm and with it the cannabis oil inside.

5 – UNDERSTAND THE MAXIMUM VOLTAGE FOR CARTRIDGES

It’s important not to exceed the recommended voltage for a 510 threaded cartridge when vaping, and doing so can result in bitter tasting vapor. Typically, the average vape cartridge for vaping cannabis oil should not go above 4.0 volts. We understand that everyone is looking for a different type of vapor and we offer the best options available with our variable voltage vape batteries for sale. We sell a variable voltage vape battery pen with 4 different settings and recommend always starting low before going high.

Now that you’ve learned how to care for your oil cartridges, it’s important to understand how to properly care for your vape pen’s battery in order to preserve battery life for as long as possible. Simple vape pen tips like keeping away from extreme heat and using the right charger can make a world of difference. Below we list the most common mistakes to avoid with a vape battery and how to properly take care of them.

1 – KEEP YOUR THC PEN FULLY CHARGED

When the light on your vape battery flashes red, it’s time to charge. Simply connect the pen’s battery to the charger and plug it into a USB port on a computer or other electronic device. The light on the battery and charger should come on, letting you know it’s charging. Once the light on the charger turns green, the battery is fully charged and ready to use.

If you’re someone who cares about the charging speed of your vape battery, we highly recommend our variable voltage option, which comes with a fast 20-minute charge mode. This is our 2.0 Vape Battery Pen which we detail below.

2 – USE A VAPE PEN CASE TO PROTECT IT

As for the care of THC pens, storage containers are often overlooked as a necessity for proper care. To keep your cannabis oil pen looking new, store it in a protective case. Cases allow you to make your vape pen more portable and protect it from breakage and scratches. Some even allow you to draw on your vape pen while in the case.

3 – VAPE PEN FLASHES 3 TIMES

It is common for some vape pen batteries to stop working due to a short circuit and this is usually indicated by the light flashing 3 times. It can also mean that there is a chance that it is not making a good connection with the vape cartridge and battery. Use a cotton swab and some alcohol and clean it to solve this problem. You can also try adjusting the connection plate on your cartridge or battery to make it easier to reconnect. You can try using a brand new oil vape cartridge if all fails and if it still flashes 3 times then it’s time to grab an O.pen vape battery which comes with a lifetime warranty.

You can watch our troubleshooting video here on vape pen tips to get your pen working again:

4 – VAPE PEN FLASHES 10 TIMES

When you find your vape pen blinking 10 times, you might be alarmed at first. However, this is a fairly common occurrence with vape pen devices for a variety of reasons. Here Are The Most Common Reasons Why Vape Pens Blink 10 Times –

Low Voltage – If your pen has low voltage, it may blink 10 or more times. Low voltage is often caused by a loose battery connection or by dirt and grime breaking the connection. Try wiping the internal threads of the battery with a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol and try again once you’re done.

Longer Draw Duration – Some advanced vape pens will turn off and flash 10 times or more if you draw too long. Just press the button again and take a smaller crack.

Battery is running low – When your battery is running low, some vape pen devices will flash 10 times. Try charging the battery to see if that fixes the problem.

Replacement Warning – Vape Pens flashing 10 times could be a sign that your device is reaching the end of its lifespan. If you’re having trouble remembering when you bought the vape pen, it might be time to replace it entirely.

If you’ve gone through all the typical troubleshooting tips and your vape pen is still flashing 10 times, then it might be time for a new device. While quality vape pen devices are built to last, they won’t last forever.

Keep in mind that consumers who use vape pens frequently or who neglect regular cleaning routines tend to need to replace their devices more frequently than those who don’t. For this reason, it is beneficial to follow these vape pen tips to avoid or defer replacement costs.

5 – VAPE PEN FLASHES WHEN CARTRIDGE IS INSERTED

If your vape pen flashes when the cartridge is plugged in, the problem is usually easy to fix. Usually, a vape pen’s persistent blinking occurs when the battery connection is loose or disconnected. Because of this, the device keeps blinking as if it were blinking at the beginning of charging.

To fix the problem, simply unscrew the battery and screw it back in to make the connection tighter. Of course, there are a few other reasons a vape pen might flash when a cartridge is inserted. It could mean your power button is stuck or blocked with dirt or grime.

If this happens, wipe the button with a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol. In addition, more advanced models may flash when a cartridge is inserted, when there is a safety hazard, or when an incompatible cartridge is connected.

If cleaning the button and reconnecting the battery doesn’t solve the problem, see the device’s manual for more information. Since continuous flashing could indicate the activation of security features, it is best to stop using vaping until it is fixed to avoid damaging the device or other potential hazards.

6 – VAPE BATTERY PEN FLASHES WHILE CHARGING

If you happen to see a blinking link on your vape pen while trying to charge it, use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to ensure both connections are clean. Allow both connections to dry before attempting to charge again. If the blinking persists, it may be time to replace the charger.

7 – VAPE PEN STILL FLASHING

Unfortunately, the continuous flashing of a 510 thread vape battery pen indicates that the cartridge is not compatible. This is typical of cheap vape cartridges from unlicensed brands, another reason to buy reliable licensed brand oil cartridges like ours.

We have developed a THC vape battery that offers the ideal voltage setting options for vaping THC oil cartridges. Start low to get the best flavor from your 510 thread pre-filled cartridges and end with big plumes of vapor at the highest voltage setting. Browse through a wide range of vape pen color options, made with high quality materials. We even have a wood grain vape battery pen for those who want a little bit of mother nature in their vaping experience.

The lowest voltage setting for this vape battery starts at 2.7 volts and is perfect for those who want a smooth tasting vapor with lots of flavor. A purple light indicates this low temperature setting. The next voltage setting is medium at 3.2 volts and produces a higher power draw. The highest voltage setting is 4.0 volts and produces the largest cloud of vapor, but you will sacrifice some flavor and flavor (terpenes) that will burn off at higher temperatures.

Finally, there’s a dab mode designed for use with wax attachments. We do not recommend using this setting with pre-filled cannabis oil cartridges as it may be too high for most. Therefore, this 510 thread battery is aimed at advanced users, but do not be discouraged because after reading this guide you will be considered advanced.

For child safety, disconnect the cartridge from the O.pen Vape battery and store when not in use. Always keep THC pens or cartridges out of the reach of small children.

You always want to store your THC pen batteries in a comfortable environment that is not too cold or too hot.

Always remember to turn off your vape battery when not in use. Simply click the stylus button five times to turn off an open vape battery.

Try to make it a habit to always keep your vape cartridge in a vertical position to prevent the cannabis oil from getting stuck on top of the cart near the mouthpiece.

How long does it take a brass knuckle pen to charge?

Charging a pen for the first time can take as much as four hours or as little as 30 minutes. It depends on the size of the battery. Once the light on the pen turns from red to green, it has been fully charged.

Brass Knuckles 900mAh Adjustable Battery

The simple answer to how long it takes to charge a vape battery, assuming a dead battery, is about three hours. But there can be much more to such a question. Let’s explore some of the other factors that can be considered when charging a vape battery – depending on the circumstances.

Charge for the first time

After using your charged vape battery for the first time, make sure to shut it down completely until it is absolutely dead before charging it for the first time. This way you can get the most out of your vape battery.

Charging an ego battery

It should take around 1.5 hours to fully charge a 650-1300mAh Ego battery. These are the batteries you will use for your standard atomizer or ce4 ego atomizer.

Charging a 18650 battery

18650s are powerful batteries and should be treated as such. The best thing about 18650s is that they can be removed from your device. It is strongly recommended to choose an external battery charger for these battery types. Devices that use 1 battery can be damaged by using a “fast charger” when using a micro USB cable to charge your device. You generally want 0.5 amps on the charging block that you connect the micro USB cable to. External charging is especially recommended if you have a device that uses more than one battery. In this case, some devices may have trouble maintaining the charge level of both batteries despite being charged via a micro USB cable. Using an external battery charger allows you to have a dedicated slot for each battery, allowing them to charge at their own pace until they are all full. Most external chargers can vary their amperage (0.5A – 2A) and this is a great way to safely charge quickly. You can still use the micro USB port in emergencies, but it can likely drain your batteries/device with prolonged use. 18650s can take 1-3 hours to fully charge depending on how depleted they are.

Overcharging a vape battery

There is a big difference between cell phone batteries and vape batteries. You may be able to leave your mobile phone connected longer than necessary, even after it is fully charged. But in the case of vape batteries, they can get overcharged. This should generally be avoided. Most often this happens when people either forget to charge their battery or go to bed while the battery is still charging.

Charging while vaping

This is called a pass. Whether you can do this or not depends on the battery model. If you need to disassemble your device to charge your battery, the answer is obviously no. However, if the battery is charging via a port somewhere on the device (e.g. bottom), you’ll likely be able to vape while charging. However, it is not recommended to do this if your device uses two or more external batteries, as they may have uneven power consumption, thus putting additional strain on the device and the batteries.

First charge for a vape pen

Charging a pen for the first time can take up to four hours or as little as 30 minutes. It depends on the size of the battery. As soon as the light on the pen changes from red to green, it is fully charged.

Can I use other chargers for my vape battery?

If you’re considering using your phone charger to charge your vape, it’s not advisable. The battery can be destroyed or damaged because a car USB charger or cell phone charger delivers more current than the battery or device can handle.

How long will it be before I need to recharge my vape pen battery?

There are many variables that contribute to this, but a full charge can take up to two days, and the vape pen battery can be charged a total of maybe 300 times before it’s no longer useful.

There are many factors that go into thinking about these numbers, no matter what battery or device you’re using.

The most common cleaning method is to take a cotton swab and dip the tip in rubbing alcohol. While this is enough, excess liquid on or around your battery is never a good thing. After blotting both the bottom of the cartridge and the connection point on the battery, allow both parts to dry completely before reassembling and powering on.

An equally effective cleaning method is to have a packet of Ooze Resolution Res Wipes on hand! These cloths are specially designed to cut through resin and wax residue and one side has small scrubbing points that really get the dirt into town. Place a cloth over the battery connection point and use your cotton swab to press down on the connection and scrub away the dirt. After cleaning, screw the cartridge back onto the device.

If this doesn’t work, it could be because your cartridge is an irregular size or has a deformed spool. Sometimes you can solve this problem by simply tightening or loosening the cartridge until you find the sweet spot that makes a good connection. If your cartridge just isn’t compatible with a 510-threaded battery, it might be time to look for a new brand!

It can be almost impossible to look at, but unfortunately every once in a while legitimate pharmacy cartridges exhibit a deformed coil. This means that the hardware is not properly aligned with the battery’s heating element, forcing the error. To determine if this is your problem, try a different carriage that you know has previously worked with your pen. This can be an empty wagon or just an old one lying around. If that other cartridge works, the problem is with the new cartridge. Many pharmacies understand that this can happen and are willing to exchange it for another, working one. It never hurts to ask! If neither cartridge works, the cartridge hardware is not the cause of the problem.

We recommend only buying cartridges from a licensed dispensary (both for safety reasons and for the simple fact that you’re more likely to get a good quality cartridge) as these erratic carriages can cause irreparable damage to your Ooze pen over time. Read why you should do your research before you stumble upon a sketchy vape cartridge.

Lab tests from early 2018 showed that Brass Knuckles concentrates were free from harmful pesticides and safe to use.

One of the major problems in the vaping industry is the massive number of counterfeit products on the market. Due to the recent outbreak of vape sickness, this has become an especially big problem. The first cases were identified in April 2019 in Wisconsin and Illinois. As of early 2020, an estimated 60 people died after using a vaping product, and 2,700 others ended up in the hospital.

In virtually all cases, those who became ill had used a black market THC or nicotine product. Although the exact culprit is unknown, there is a strong suspicion that vitamin E acetate is involved. It is a thickener that is commonly used in vape cartridges. At one point most brands used a low concentration of it. However, a combination of high demand and reduced supply of cannabis vape products resulted in some products containing over 50% of the thickener.

A national survey found that over 5.3 million high school and junior high school students used e-cigarettes in the last month. Now there’s a ban on flavored vape juices, although you can still buy cannabis and CBD vape products. Today we are looking at the Brass Knuckles brand. The above information is relevant to this company as it is the subject of many rip-off products.

Highlights of Brass Knuckles

Easy to use

great taste

Created with premium quality strains

High terpene content

No waste in the cartridge

Disadvantages

The concentrate may become sticky and lose flavor over time

The brand has come under scrutiny for its use of pesticides and failed lab reports

The poorly designed website adds little to the credibility of the brand

Brass Knuckles Vape Review

There is some debate as to who established the Brass Knuckles brand. Alvin Joiner, better known as Xzibit, is one of the founders. However, the identities of other parties involved in the company are not as well known. There is a strong suspicion that Jeannie Herer, wife of the legendary Jack Herer, is a Joiners co-founder. Internet rumors claim that Dr. Dre is involved, but there is little evidence to support that.

Brass Knuckles operates out of Los Angeles, California. For a long time, Brass Knuckles vape cartridges have been among the best and most powerful on the market. At one point, their Forbidden Fruit concentrate was tested at an incredible 90% THC level. However, the brand reduced the THC percentage.

With such star power behind them, the company’s rise to the top was inevitable. Today it still claims to be the industry leader in super premium cannabis oil. However, it has been the subject of numerous lawsuits with users claiming that they became ill after using a Brass Knuckles product. The thing is, the brand is one of the most ripped off out there. Chances are those who got sick used a black market version. Let’s learn more about the brand in this exclusive review.

Brass knuckles design

Brass Knuckles vape cartridges are sleek and stylish. They are slim, compact, light and portable. And perhaps more importantly for some, the cartridges are discreet too.

The cartridges have a metallic sheen and are embossed with the Brass Knuckles logo. The designers have taken care of everything from the packaging to the batteries, and it shows. The cartridges have a 510 thread and are easy to stick onto the battery.

Characteristics of brass knuckles

The trait that Brass Knuckles is most proud of is its taste. The brand only uses premium marijuana strains to create their concentrates and utilizes CO2 extraction. The oils also contain a wide range of terpenes that further enhance Brass Knuckles’ signature flavor.

The vape cartridges are available in indica, sativa, and hybrid strains. There are also several limited editions to choose from.

Here is a brief overview of the variety of flavors per category:

indica

sativa

Hybrid

Current limited editions

brass wood

Gushers (through connected cartridge)

Kush Kola

Napalm OG

abracadabra

Los Angeles Kush

Each pre-filled cartridge contains a full gram of cannabis concentrate, enough for around 200 hits. One of our favorite features of the Brass Knuckles vape is that it uses every last drop of concentrate. This is unlike some other brands that leave a frustrating amount of residue in the cartridge. In addition, the THC content is around 75-80%.

Brass knuckles performance

Brass Knuckles vape cartridges are easy to use. Just connect to a 510 thread battery and go! Batteries are available from the company in gold or wood finishes, further adding to the visual appeal of the device. You might be wondering if Brass Knuckles chose style over substance. However, you get plenty of juice with each charge.

The batteries have adjustable settings and the cartridges can handle up to eight watts. However, you should avoid using too much power with a vape device as you risk burning the concentrate and ruining the cartridge.

There have been reports of Brass Knuckles cartridges malfunctioning. However, the company has steadily improved. There are far fewer issues with outages now than there were a few years ago.

Another disadvantage of the brass knuckle vape is that the oil can become thick and sticky over time. The oil can also lose some of its flavors if it hits the bottom of the cartridge. In some cases, it even takes on a burnt taste. Still, it performs better than most similar products. It’s easy to see why Brass Knuckles originally earned its reputation as a premium brand.

Brass knuckles controversy

Despite its reputation as one of the market leaders, Brass Knuckles has faced some controversy in recent years. It all started when a regular user of the brand fell ill and posted about it online. In addition, several independent laboratory reports found high concentrations of potentially harmful pesticides in the concentrate.

The company quickly responded to these allegations, stating that its products were clean and the offending cartridges were counterfeit. One of the unexpected downsides of such a well-known brand is that fakes are everywhere. Some of them look so similar to the real item that it is difficult to tell the difference.

Laboratory tests conducted in early 2018 showed Brass Knuckles concentrates to be free of harmful pesticides and safe to use.

For some people, however, the damage was already done. Many loyal customers lost faith in the brand and took up business elsewhere.

Brass Knuckles is still trying to recover from that setback. Not only has it reduced its prices slightly, but it has also published many informative articles on its website. These guides describe how to identify counterfeit cartridges and where to buy the genuine product.

Genuine Brass Knuckles vape cartridges are currently only available from licensed dispensaries in California and Nevada. We do not recommend buying your vape online or from other sources. Otherwise, you could end up with a dangerous fake.

If you’re still concerned about the safety of Brass Knuckles, consider buying in Nevada, which has much stricter rules for batch testing than California. As a result, vape cartridges purchased from the Silver State are far less likely to contain contaminants.

brass knuckles currently

A class action lawsuit is pending that was filed in May 2018. SC Laboratories Inc. is also involved in this. Brass Knuckles has had to do a major cleanup in recent years. Many of the reported issues date back to 2017 and 2018.

For example, tests from August 2017 revealed that the brand’s products may contain some toxic materials. In February 2018, additional lab reports indicated that the tests conducted by SC Labs returned “clean” products. In May 2019, the brand’s oil was put into better hardware. It put more results online, but you won’t find them on the site.

Brass Knuckles’ existing cartridges are likely toxin-free and safe to use. However, the problem with counterfeits remains. Some of these rogue products are so convincing that it’s almost impossible to tell the difference. The company does not have an authorized dealer list. As a result, customers search for Brass Knuckles products online and choose what’s on the first page. Such products are often counterfeit.

You can spot fakes by making sure the company’s hologram sticker is on the packages. Also look out for spelling mistakes and the lack of a logo. Additionally, fraudulent products do not have labels that comply with California law or health guidelines. Finally, only purchase Brass Knuckles products from a licensed dispensary in Nevada or California.

The pharmacies that sell official Brass Knuckles products can be found on the brand’s website.

Brass Knuckles Vape: Final Thoughts

The Brass Knuckles brand has struggled in recent years. There have been reports of sick users and lab tests showing illegal levels of pesticides. However, the company has made improvements and the latest lab results seem clean.

Those issues aside, the Brass Knuckles Vape is still a decent product that’s small, sleek, and easy to use. The brand also sells among the best flavors of any vape cartridge currently on the market. However, there are just too many ticks against it. There are also several better alternatives, which means we can’t realistically recommend it.

We’d love to hear about our readers’ experiences of using Brass Knuckles cartridges. Let us know in the comments below!

Final verdict: 7/10

Is Brass Knuckles a good pen?

The taste is very flavorful and enjoyable. There is a hint of artificial flavoring, but the flavor of the strain is also noticeable. My absolute favorite is the Grape Ape! If you like the taste of sweet grape kool-aid, then the Grape Ape Brass Knuckles vape pen prefilled cartridge will be your next favorite vape.

At this point in 2019, Brass Knuckles was struggling a lot. They have consistently failed pesticide tests. Visit our vape cartridge pesticides review page for the most up-to-date information on Brass Knuckles vape pen carts and other brands. They are currently being sued, as are their promoters. It’s been a tough year for Brass Knuckles. They’re nowhere near the best vape pen cartridge either.

Recently, Brass Knuckles posted clean results like the one pictured below for their Banana OG strain.

We find it interesting that they switched labs. SC Labs is also named in one of the Brass Knuckles lawsuits discussed below at the end of this review.

We recently reviewed the Napalm OG cartridge and found it underwhelming, but it did come from a Nevada dispensary, so there’s a good chance it came out clean.

Many vape cartridges are now better than Brass Knuckles

There are now hundreds of brands of THC vape cartridges out there. Many of these cartridges are better than Brass Knuckles. To keep it simple, here are some of the better known brands that can be found in the same areas as Brass Knuckles but better: Select Oil, Justdab, Kabunky, and W Vapes. This list could be continued indefinitely. Brass Knuckles just can’t compete with the other fire that’s out there now. The point is that Brass Knuckles advertises a lot but doesn’t deliver quality.

Design Quality of Brass Knuckles Vape Pen

The packaging is very nice, it’s nicer than any other I’ve seen. Brass Knuckle’s offers first class quality. The mouthpiece was designed to allow the perfect amount of airflow for a very comfortable hit and big clouds. Compared to other traditional mouthpieces, this one seems to have better airflow. The Brass Knuckles Vape Pen logo on the mouthpiece looks great but can compromise discretion. With these cartridges you get pure taste. I learned during this Brass Knuckles Vape Pens review that this company is actually focused on creating a better product than any other on the market. This car had its flaws, which we will go over below.

Bert: We can no longer say that Brass Knuckles is of such high quality. They use an old style cartridge and CCELL is currently blowing it out of the water, especially when paired with a CCELL Palm. Other systems like the ALD vFire used in the plug and play vape and the Stiiizy Pen are also better. Both use the same heating element. Brass Knuckles is stuck in the past with its cartridge technology. They could use an update or go to CCELL like many other manufacturers.

Try Brass Knuckles vape oil in CCELL hardware

Convinced that Brass Knuckles had poor quality hardware and the Napalm OG cartridge was failing me, I decided to try the oil in a CCELL TH2 wagon. Check out the video below.

Ease of use of the Brass Knuckles Vape Pen

Pop in a standard threaded 510 battery and it’s ready to go. Open the Brass Knuckles vape pen packaging and unscrew the trolley to get started, that’s it. I’m hitting this with a variable voltage battery that I can go up to 4.7 volts with. I use this trolley at 3.0 volts for smooth, refreshing big clouds. These wagons can reach up to 5 volts. Go too high and you might burn it out! Be careful when running this on a mod battery. Make sure you have the correct settings.

Bert: Brass Knuckles is still easy to use.

Strength – Brass Knuckles is not as strong as others

As of now, these are some of the strongest pre-filled cartridges available, with at least 80 percent THC levels. These feel more potent than other pre-filled cartridges that claim to have 80.00% THC levels. In my personal experience, Jack Herer proved to be the strongest of the three strains I tried. I’ve bought Jack Herer twice, I’ve enjoyed this strain so much.

Bert: Brass Knuckles is nowhere near the strongest. Even in their own tests, as shown above, the THC content is 68%. Select Oil’s Casino Kush is at 91% and they have another vape wagon that is 94%. The hardware in the Stiiizy, Plug and Play and every new generation CCELL cartridge will also hit a comparable oil harder than the Brass Knuckles cartridges with their mediocre oil.

Efficiency – Some failures before, but more reliable now

malfunction

I had 1 of the 4 carts malfunction, so brass knuckles vape pens aren’t perfect. It started crackling and sizzling giving me the most bitter burnt taste. The pharmacy where I bought this cart immediately gave me a free replacement. Even after one of these carts failed, I still highly recommend this one after going through three different strains.

Bert: There’s a lot less interference than there used to be with these carts and other brands. In recent years, the reliability of vape cartridges has improved significantly.

Lots of hits, some stickiness

I can say with confidence that every 1 gram of Brass Knuckle will give you at least 200 hits. I’ve always been taking big hits from start to finish, which is why I highly recommend this cart for its consistency. Oil was stuck to the top of one of the pre-filled cartridges and I couldn’t vaporize it. This might have been a bad batch. I had to hold a lighter under the stuck oil to melt it. Other pre-filled carts had this problem more often compared to the Brass Knuckles vape pens. A third isn’t too bad, nothing major to get excited about, just a little uncomfortable. An important discovery in this Brass Knuckles Vape Pen Review is that it is easier to vape every last drop of concentrate while others made it difficult and even wasted a lot. I didn’t get as much crap flavor towards the end of this pre-filled cartridge either.

Bert: Other cartridges get more hits now. The ones that hit less, like CCELL or Stiiizy, hit a lot harder, so it’s worth getting less of them.

portability

Very slim and small makes this cart easy to take anywhere. The included packaging makes it easy to travel with in case you need to store it for later. Portability also depends on what battery you use. Use a mod battery and it’s a little less portable. Use a small 510 battery and it’s ultra-portable.

Bert: The portability remains the same. It’s still easy to get around these vape carts.

taste

The taste is very aromatic and pleasant. There is a hint of artificial aroma, but the taste of the strain is noticeable as well. My absolute favorite is the Grape Ape! If you like the taste of sweet Grape Kool-Aid, then the Grape Ape Brass Knuckles Vape Pen pre-filled cartridge will be your next favorite vape. I agree with her near-perfect THC cocktail with added natural terpenes. It has a more pleasant taste than any other pre-filled cart I’ve tried. I haven’t tried the Moxie cartridges yet, but I’ve heard they taste excellent too.

Bert: The Brass Knuckles THC carts still shine in flavor for the most part. Whoever is handling the terpenes is doing a great job. We need the same effort for the rest of the vape pen cartridge. Flavor issues with Brass Knuckles, however, can occur if the chariot is burned.

Brass knuckles tribes

Brass Knuckles vape cartridges now come in a variety of varieties, each with a different flavor. Below are all Brass Knuckles Vape Pen Cart Strains. We sorted them into Sativa, Indica and Hybrid.

Sativa cartridges:

blue dream

Jack Herer

maui

Sour apple

Sour diesel

strawberry cough

Tangie

Indica Strain Selection:

blueberry

SFV OG

Tahoe OG

Grape God (replacement for Grand Daddy Purple)

Napalm OG

Do-Si-Dos

Glue

Tahoe OG

hybrid strains:

Gorilla Glue #4

banana OG

Ice

Girl Scout Cookies

Gushers from Connected

Forbidden fruit

abracadabra

Brass Knuckles releases new strains here and there, so keep an eye out for updates on those.

Value: Just not there

I paid $55.00 each for a gram of Jack Herer, Girl Scout Cookies, and Grape Ape from my local California pharmacy. All cartridges lasted five days and delivered over 200 hits each. That’s only eleven bucks a day to be medicated all day and all night. I commend Brass Knuckles for making a great tasting product that is more economical and of very high quality than their competitors.

Bert: Brass Knuckles isn’t a good value anymore. I’d rather buy a half gram of Select and pay almost the same price as a full gram of Brass Knuckles.

Current Brass Knuckles Problems: Counterfeiting and Lawsuits

The main problem we have with Brass Knuckles is constantly deceiving customers into thinking they have clean products. We now hope the cartridges they make are clean, but it’s hard to trust a company that has lied so many times. The laboratory testing industry in California isn’t really reliable. We could trust a BK wagon in Nevada, which has rigorous batch testing, but why choose an untrustworthy brand when there are already so many better ones out there?

Fake Brass Knuckles vape cartridges are everywhere

We have published an in-depth post about fake brass knuckles. The company does not publish a list of authorized retailers. They publish their own less informative guide on how to spot fakes, but what we really need is a list of authorized retailers. Check out Summer Vapor fakes below.

The Summer Vapor fakes are easy to spot as there is no strain information on the bottom. This is great for those easy to spot brass knuckles fake cartridges.

The above fakes are from Shenzhen eBoat. You are very persuasive. In fact, if you were to rely on Brass Knuckle’s own guide, these would pass as genuine. If they really cared about their customers, Brass Knuckles

Nevada residents are likely safe due to rigorous batch testing, but many more people live in California. If Brass Knuckles cared about consumers, they could get a better handle on these counterfeits by creating a comprehensive, updated list of authorized retailers. Plain and simple.

Brass knuckles lawsuits: Yes, there is more than one

The class action lawsuit: Ignacio Lee against brass knuckles

A lot of people are looking for a Brass Knuckles lawsuit, but there’s actually a big class action lawsuit going on. The first reported legal issue was the lawsuit filed by Ignacio Lee. He claims he got sick from the pesticides that were in Brass Knuckles’ vape pen cartridges. The particular flavors he complained about were Candy Apple and Sour Diesel.

The Brass Knuckles company associated with Jeannie Herer was also sued in this case, as was Xzibit himself. His real name is Alvin Nathaniel Joiner. As a spokesman for the company, he responded to the lawsuit’s claims via his Instagram account, stating in one post, “Our oil is clean” and in another that the product was “TOTALLY pesticide AND contaminant FREE.”

SC Labs has also been included in the lawsuit

SC Labs is included in this one to make it more interesting. They included the stickers on the Brass Knuckles cartridges sold. The company claims that the dirty cartridges are fake. SC Labs is included with the suit. Your stickers are on the cartridge. Makes the fake oil claim hard to believe. I don’t trust them anymore either. Steep Hill is the lab used by the plaintiffs in this case, which showed the vape carts to be dirty.

If you’re familiar with their test stickers, you can look up the batch online (unless the company blocks publication). Manufacturing counterfeits would be difficult considering these unique identification codes are linked to specific batches.

I have never seen a counterfeit Brass Knuckles vape pen cartridge with an SC Labs sticker on it. Someone would have to go to extraordinary lengths to bring it all together. They don’t add them in China.

Firstly, as of May 2018, I should note that Brass Knuckles claims they are now 100% compliant due to new California testing requirements. Second, Xzibit was probably wrong when he made his clean oil claims, but it may not have been on purpose. I doubt it has much to do with the manufacturing process. Even now in 2018, California testing requirements are not being implemented as they should.

Just like heavy hitters who just recently tested dirty. They used the same claim Brass Knuckles now uses to say their oil is clean. That may be so, but how can we trust them after so many problems? In their defense, fake heavy hitters are also a problem.

Conclusion: I would no longer recommend a Brass Knuckles vape pen

I am very satisfied with the improved characteristics that this pre-filled cart has over others. Xzibit, the founder of this product, stated on the Between Two Strains Youtube channel, “Anything that we didn’t like about any other cart on the market, we improved it and built it into Brass Knuckles.” That statement is true, huh I learned after trying this myself. I strongly encourage others to try this car at will. Brass Knuckles actually solves many of the problems of previous carts from other companies.

Bert: There are better brands of cartridges with more reliable reputations. They also produce stronger oil in better hardware. Don’t believe the hype surrounding Brass Knuckles Vape Pen Cartridges.

The five most common questions about vape pens – for beginners and newbies

Before asking any questions, you need to know the components of a vape pen. In fact, most vape pens share the same parts, although some will differ slightly.

Table of Contents:

What is a vape pen?

Vape pens contain a battery, an atomizer, a cartridge or tank, a sensor, and a mouthpiece.

Is Brass Knuckles vape safe?

The Brass Knuckles line of cartridges has a lot going for it, although it has faced some controversy in recent years. Let’s take a quick look at the pros and cons:

advantages

Compact, portable and discreet

Easy to use

great taste

Created with premium quality strains

High terpene content

No waste in the cartridge

Disadvantages

The concentrate may become sticky and lose flavor over time

The brand has come under scrutiny for its use of pesticides and failed lab reports

There are many fakes on the market that are difficult to spot

How long does it take for a Brass Knuckles vape pen to charge?

Brass Knuckles Vape Review: Design and Build Quality The Brass Knuckles vape pens and cartridges are designed to draw attention as they are made of shiny metal. There are also wooden pens that are less noticeable, but the brass mouthpiece still has a high luster. These pens are not for stealthy vaping. The connection between battery and cartridge is well made. It is easy to screw in and out of the vaporizer. They contain just over 70 percent THC and one gram of concentrate. The taste of the vapor is acceptable. Grape Ape is a good flavor and tastes like grape juice. Moxie cartridges taste good too. The device uses a quartz atomizer to heat the cannabis oil. Quartz is preferred for heating concentrates. In addition, it handles airflow more efficiently than ceramic and other materials. There were complaints that the cartridges weren’t very reliable, but recently the manufacturer improved the design, resulting in fewer defects. One problem was that the oil would get stuck in the cartridge, making it difficult to take a hit. How long do brass knuckles cartridges last? They only contain one gram of concentrate, but it will last you for a considerable amount of time. Each cartridge lasted between two and three days before needing to be replaced. The number of puffs you can get with it is around 200. Vapers who don’t hit their parts hard can extend the life of their cartridges to four or five days.

How to Use Brass Knuckles Vapes Ease of use is one of the advantages of using these vapes. To turn the vape on or off, click the ignition button 5 times in quick succession. Two clicks put it into preheat mode, while three clicks change the voltage settings. A small lamp indicates the output voltage: green – 2.4 volts, blue – 3.2 volts, red – 4.0 volts. Brass knuckles cartridge and battery performance The battery life is more than sufficient and every puff results in plenty of vapor. The adjustable settings make it easy to dial in the voltage, but vaping on the highest setting can result in burnt flavor and a ruined cart. This is a big problem as some people like to vape at high wattage and cannot do so with these atomizers. The vaporizer works best when set to 3.2 volts. The brass mouthpiece is designed to fit comfortably between the lips, preventing vapor from escaping. Plus, many of the flavors taste great and deliver solid hits. But sometimes the vapor can’t get through the mouthpiece because it becomes very viscous. Another problem with performance is that the lower the oil content in the pod, the poorer the taste. Brass Knuckles Problems: Lawsuits and Counterfeiting Ignacio Lee, a customer of the company, filed a lawsuit against the company. He claimed that pesticides in the concentrates poisoned him. He also claimed that Candy Apple and Sour Diesel flavors made him seriously ill. It causes fatigue, chest pain, and difficulty breathing. Mr. Lee requested that a third-party lab test the products. The lab that performed the analysis claimed to have found pesticides in the products. Mister Joiner responded to the plaintiff’s petition by stating that its oils were clean and free of pesticides and pollutants. Joiner was probably right in claiming that its products are safe to use. But due to the many knockoff products out there, it’s easy to get a counterfeit cartridge. It’s so easy to be fooled by scammers because they don’t have an authorized dealer list. As a result, customers go online, type in a search, and choose what’s at the top of the search engine rankings. You may or may not receive the original item. This company has two separate websites: Brassknucklescarts and Brassknucklesog. Users can purchase the vapes on the “Carts” page and as far as we can tell there is no place on this page to purchase batteries. The inability to find batteries on the company’s website could lead customers to nefarious parties who will sell them counterfeit products. How to Identify Counterfeit Brass Knuckles There are several ways to spot counterfeit products, be it online or in a brick-and-mortar store. The company published a very informative article on how to spot them. Customers should read it carefully before starting shopping. Authentic products of the company have the following characteristics: There is a hologram sticker of the company on the packaging

The packaging states that the product complies with California laws and health guidelines

Each cartridge and battery contains one gram of oil, has a 510 thread and is rated at eight watts

The product is clearly labeled with the variety name and flavor

All packaging is child resistant with tabs on the sides

Each product is lab tested Signs of a counterfeit product include: Poor spelling

No signs complying with California law and health guidelines

No logo

Non-authentic hologram stickers

Strange taste or smell

No Child Resistant Case Ignacio Lee, a customer of the company, filed a lawsuit against the company. Lab Testing and Where to Buy In 2018, Brass Knuckles had its products tested by a different lab. The lab determined that their oils were pesticide-free and safe to use. However, despite these new lab results, they lost a large portion of their customer base. The way to avoid burns from counterfeit products is not to shop online. Customers should instead go to a medical pharmacy in California or Nevada. Unfortunately, it is impractical for people who have another home state. Brass Knuckles Competitors Review Brass Knuckles vs. Heavy Hitters Heavy Hitters is a rival to Brass Knuckles in almost every way. From the packaging and the design of their labels to claiming that they make the most potent THC concentrate. Heavy hitters have earned their reputation for strong cannabis products. Most of their carts are tested at 90% and above. However, they have branched out to offer other types of cannabis products like edibles and resins. Brass Knuckles vs. Tree Base Klear Tree Base Klear is a relatively new entrant to the THC cart market. Because the brand is so new, they have a limited number of 510 pre-filled cartridges on the market, broken down by strain and potency. Their line consists almost entirely of 510 cartridges and little more. The brand focuses on the purity of its products. It uses no propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, or other additives in the oil to ensure it’s safe and lives up to its name. Brass Knuckles vs. Dank Vapes Dank Vapes is a brand that never existed, at least legitimately. Many fake THC vape cartridges were sold under the Dank Vapes label, although the company itself never existed. It was a front for unlicensed and unregulated manufacturers to bring their products to market. Thanks to vapes, they are no longer sold in reputable pharmacies and retail outlets.
