Los pianistas Richard Clayderman y Shao Rong interpretan \”Chinese Garden\”, melodía incluida en el álbum homónimo del primero, publicado en 1998.
La melodía \”Chinese Garden\” fue compuesta por Paul de Senneville. El álbum homónimo fue un álbum de estudio que contó con una colección de canciones de amor recientes y títulos ya clásicos junto con tres duetos realizados por Richard Clayderman con la joven pianista china Shao Rong. El álbum incluye una sinfonía de 9 minutos de la exitosa película Titanic, orquestada para el pianista francés por Hervé Roy.
Paul de Senneville fue el autor, junto a su socio en las composiciones, Olivier Toussaint, de melodías para artistas tales como Mireille Mathieu, Michèle Torr, Christophe, Hervé Vilard, Dalida, Petula Clark y Claude François. Crearon la Pop Concerto Orchestra en la cual Olivier Toussaint era el cantante líder. Estos socios musicales han vendido más de 100 millones de discos. En 1975, la pareja de compositores catapultaron a la fama al trompetista francés JeanClaude Borelly con ‘Dolannes Melody’. Paul de Senneville ostenta el título nobiliario de conde. En 1976, Paul de Senneville y Olivier Toussaint fundaron la compañía Delphine Productions. \”Delphine\” es el nombre de la hija de Paul. Es la única empresa del mundo dedicada exclusivamente a publicar música instrumental. Gran parte de sus composiciones se dedicaron a Richard Clayderman, al grupo Ocarina (conformado por el argentino Diego Módena y el francés JeanPhilippe Audin) y al guitarrista francés Nicolas de Angelis, quienes grabaron en el sello Delphine.
El nombre verdadero de Richard Clayderman es Philippe Pagès. Adoptó el nombre artístico Clayderman del apellido de su abuela sueca. Nació el 28 de diciembre de 1953. Ha incluido en sus álbumes composiciones de Paul de Senneville y Olivier Toussaint. Richard Clayderman es reconocido, hoy día, como uno de los pianistas de música ligera más exitosos a nivel mundial, con más de 70 millones de discos vendidos (siendo premiado con 267 de oro y 70 de platino) y más de 600 conciertos alrededor del mundo. Según el Libro Guiness de los Récords Mundiales, \”Richard Clayderman es el pianista más exitoso del mundo\”.
Shao Rong nació en Shanghai (República Popular China), y empezó a tomar lecciones de piano a los cinco años de edad y el laúd a los diez.
