Wardancer or scrapper?

Well the hardest thing about the Soulfist is to actually understand how the class behaves in a fight, because you’re a ranged auto attacker that has melee, mid range and long range high damage skills, so it can be difficult to understand what you actually have to do lol.

But aside from the entry level difficulty, the hard part is that you need to be extremely patient with this class and not blow your entire kit without your boost spells activated, even if the boss is presenting his back you have to wait until everything is back up. For exemple Energy Release, your utility spell, gives you 40% atk power boost for 5 or 6 sec (I forgot) and that’s what you use in combination with your ult to get the massive bursts, but aside from the ult, you are trying to time your Passive activation with your Energy Release because your passive gives you cooldown reduction, and then you unleash the fury.

I have to say that this playstyle, with the Robust Spirit engraving, can be quite punishing when you get stunned right after using your Energy Release or if you use it at the wrong time (this spells has a team cleanse tripod too ! So you can also save your mates) but it very rewarding when done properly, the rotation in itself isn’t that hard but it’s all about timing.

However if you use Energy Overflow it’s much easier, you don’t have to time everything perfectly because you have a lot of Agility and you have access to your 3 Hype levels, while Robust Spirit instantly gets you to Hype 3 and then you have to wait until it comes back up. Energy Overflow allows you to go through Hype 1, then 2, then 3 and after that you’re chilling for a bit, but your damage window is much much longer. This can be interesting for fights vs low mobility bosses (like Chromanium) where you can have super high DPS uptime, but IMO Soulfist is all about that big 15 million Crit spirit bomb damage so I only play with Robust Spirit lol

Great class to teach you to be patient, and to understand boss mechanics before using everything (especially your ult), but it’s not the end of the world either, you’ll figure it out if you put enough time into it

Wardancer is great

First intention wardancer will have mana issues unless partied with a bard or using mana food on top of conviction/judgement or until we get the relic nightmare 2 piece which gives 50% mana consumption reduction or until we get the ptr changes that changed winds whisperer from crit to mana recovery

either way WDs dmg is very average at best rn until we get relic sets but after relic sets WD goes from like average to one of if not the best well behind surge deathblade until its nerf at least so don’t expect to be getting mvps too too often, usually its only due to people not caring about gearing and having no engravings and random stats on their characters is when you’ll mvp or if a person has no idea on how to play their class

as for mana food master’s chewy grilled skewer is a green food that gives 24% resource regen and 2k gold gets you like 300 of them so 100 hours of mana regen buff assuming you never die with it. there’s also a blue version of it but its like 40-50 extra gold per 10 food or w/e for same resource gen but more stats but i don’t think it’s worth as you really only need the mana regen

The high damage output mitigates the lack of low movement speed than other advanced classes. The attack speed is also moderate in this subclass, so it deals burst damage at once instead of consistent damage.

This subclass does not offer high HP (Health Points) but gets Super Armor ability from its’ skills. As this subclass is not that agile, armor makes up for it, and close combat becomes easier. So, the defense of this subclass is great, but they are not tanky characters.

Like other characters in Lost Ark, you don’t have to worry about mana to use your skills. This can sound non-realistic in games like Lost Ark, where mana is a must for skills. But it is true. The skills of the Scrapper subclass rely on two kinds of energies.

One is yellow energy, and another is green energy which is called Chi in Lost Ark. The working of these energies and skills will be discussed below in the Identity Skills section.

So, you may ask, is it good for PvP or PvE? The great thing about this subclass is that you can easily play any content. You have Super Armor from your skills to fight a single opponent in PvP or hordes of enemies in PvE.

You have AoE skills to defeat many monsters at once in PvE. Also, you have skills that can knock down enemies (also called Staggering in Lost Ark) and great damage to defeat your opponent in PvP or a boss fight in PvE.
