website: http://www.dghs.gov.bd/index.php/en/publications/guideline
Dear Doctors,
You will be glad to know that I have tried my best level to make a LECTURE on DENGUE based on \”National Guideline for Clinical Management of Dengue Syndrome\” published by DGHS dedicated only for all of us DOCTORS not for the public by any means with the aim of our management will be a standard one for the safety of our patients to provide the best services and I personally thank to the DGHS n respected editors to compile such an excellent, I must say adequate, effective n proper guideline for the healthcare providers especially for the doctors like us treating the huge burden of dengue patients every day along with upcoming alarming number of cases in this August n September n even can extend to October too and for this reason, knowing the facts of guidelines n practicing them in reality to help us to treat our patients with the best possible care with less complications to severe dengue along with lessening the number of hospitalizations by selecting the appropriate cases with warning signs and reducing the sufferings n duration of hospital stay and avoiding the unnecessary/ inadvertent/overconcerned/ inappropriate treatments too, along with the greatest contribution to reduce the number of mortality .
Hope this lecture will have some contributions to this crisis management to some extent, then my efforts will be fruitful and forgive me if any mistakes n wI’ll be grateful if anybody suggest anything to do more and this is uploaded now.
With best regards

Fever, dengue hemorrhagic (DHF)
Fever, dengue hemorrhagic (DHF): A syndrome due to the dengue virus that tends to affect children under 10, causing abdominal pain, hemorrhage (bleeding) and circulatory collapse (shock). DHF starts abruptly with high continuous fever and headache plus respiratory and intestinal symptoms with sore throat, cough, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Shock occurs after 2 to 6 days with sudden collapse, cool clammy extremities, weak thready pulse, and blueness around the mouth (circumoral cyanosis). There is bleeding with easy bruising, blood spots in the skin (petechiae), spitting up blood (hematemesis), blood in the stool (melena), bleeding gums and nosebleeds (epistaxis). Pneumonia and heart inflammation (myocarditis) may be present. The mortality is appreciable ranging from 6 to 30%. Most deaths occur in children. Infants under a year of age are especially at risk of death. DHF is also called Philippine, Thai, or Southeast Asian hemorrhagic fever and dengue shock syndrome.

Health care is about “care”–first and foremost–as the name suggests. Our goal is to provide free medical education with uptodate medical information through notes (on the medXclusive blog), and through our YouTube videos; so that students could have a “prep course” without having to pay for it. The goal is to make sure that money (or lack thereof) is not the reason anyone scores less than those who can afford to spend these thousands of dollars. Hope you support us in our journey!

Medicine is the science and practice of establishing the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices evolved to maintain and restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness. Contemporary medicine applies biomedical sciences, biomedical research, genetics, and medical technology to diagnose, treat, and prevent injury and disease, typically through pharmaceuticals or surgery, but also through therapies as diverse as psychotherapy, external splints and traction, medical devices, biologics, and ionizing radiation, amongst others
The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is a threestep examination for medical licensure in the United States and is sponsored by the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) and the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME). Physicians with an MD degree are required to pass this examination before being permitted to practice medicine in the United States.
The Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEXUSA) is a series of three osteopathic medical licensing examinations administered by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) similar to the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). COMLEXUSA is the most common pathway by which osteopathic physicians (D.O.s) apply for medical licensure, and is accepted in all 50 states. The 3digit standard scores of COMLEXUSA Level 1, Level 2 Cognitive Evaluation (CE), and Level 3 have a range of 9999 and a mean of 500. Most candidates score between 250 and 800. 400 is the minimum passing score for COMLEXUSA Levels 1 and 2; 350 for COMLEXUSA Level 3.
The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is a nationwide examination for the licensing of nurses in the United States and Canada since 1982 and 2015, respectively. There are two types, the NCLEXRN and the NCLEXPN. After graduation from a school of nursing, one takes the NCLEX exam to receive a nursing license. A nursing license gives an individual permission to practice nursing, granted by the state where they met the requirements. The NCLEXRN uses the fivestep nursing process. Each of the questions will fall into one of the five steps: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
