The purpose of this study is to discuss hair styles that were in fashion in different periods and hair leaders who represented such styles. Findings of the study can be summarized as follows. First, hair trends over different periods are briefed here. Strong wave and heavy texture were most representative hair trends in the 1980s. In the early 1990s, hair trends of the 1960s and 70s were reemerged and at the same time so-called ’the cyber hair style’ was created. In the mid 1990s, long hairs were in fashion. Blunt cut hairs were avoided. Instead, hairs that were cut with scissors and then disheveled with laser became popular. At that time, it was preferred to make hairs overall bright-colored. As the 2000s, high bleach(discolored hairs) and pastel shades were in fashion. In the late 2000s, the development of magic straight brought the high popularity of straight perm. In the meantime, fewer women had their hair light-colored. Instead, more and more women tried to keep their hair color natural, or black. This brought increase in hair clinics where people had their damaged hairs cared. Second, the characteristics of hair styles that were in fashion in different periods are summarized here. Women usually had medium hairs in the 1980s and 80s and long hairs around the 2000s. Women who had short hairs became more found in the late 2000s. In the 1980s and 90s, pony tale was even more popular than any other hair styles. But in the 2000s, naturalness and so-called the up style were dominant elements of hair styles. Women of the 1980s and 90s often had their hair light-colored and bleached. But those of the 2000s usually had their hair all black-colored. The texture of women’s hairs appeared to be heavy in the 1980s and 90s, but smooth and shaggy in the 2000s. Fringe of the up style in the former two periods gave its way to that of the bang style by the 2000s. Third, hair leaders and their hair styles between the 1980s and the 2000s were Oh Hyeon Gyeong with charming style, Yu Ji In with dark-colored straight medium hairs, Lee Na Young with light brown-colored bleached hairs, Jeon Ji Hyeon with long, natural hairs, Kim Tae Hee with black-colored intelligent, feminine hairs and Song Hye Gyo and Ku Hye Seon with black-colored short hairs.
초록
본 연구에서는 1980년~2009년까지의 대중문화에 나타난 연예인의 헤어스타일을 화장품 회사 간행물 및 미용잡지 그리고 인터넷 기사와 신문 보도 자료 등을 통해 총 301점의 헤어스타일에 대한 연도별 변화를 헤어스타일 요인(헤어스타일, 헤어컬러, 헤어웨이브, 헤어텍스쳐, 헤어프린지)에 의해 세분화해서 분석해 보고, 그 시대에 유행했던 대표 헤어스타일들이 어떤 헤어리더들과 연관을 갖고 있는지를 고찰하였으며, 헤어 디자이너들 현장에서 헤어스타일 조언시에 필요한 트렌드의 흐름을 이해하고 새로운 트렌드를 창출하는데 가이드 마련에 도움을 주고, 과거의 헤어트렌드의 흐름과 현재의 트렌드를 분석하여 새로운 트렌드를 이끌어 나가는 지표가 될 수 있도록 자료화하는 것에 큰 의미가 있다.
여자연예인의 연도별 헤어스타일에 대한 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 연도별 헤어 트렌드를 살펴본 결과 1980년 인도풍과 몽고풍이 유행되고 오리엔탈리즘을 보여주는 스타일로 터번스타일의 민속적인 분위기와 화려한 프린트무늬로 에콜로지(Ecology)를 동시에 소화시켜 냈다. 세기말인 1990년대에는 모즈룩, 히피룩, 하이 테크놀로지 같이 Syber-Look 현상이 나타나고, Post Modernism 현상과, Minimalism의 시작으로 2000년 초반에는 ‘꽃미남 추구’가 대세를 이뤘으며 웰빙 트렌드와 함께 복고적인 감각으로 히피룩을 선보였고, Romanticism과 Gliterimg재료를 사용하여 광택과 볼륨을 표현하였다.
둘째, 여자 연예인의 연도별 헤어디자인 요소에 대하여 헤어디자인의 요소(헤어스타일, 헤어컬러, 헤어웨이브, 헤어텍스쳐, 헤어프린지)에 의해 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다. 헤어스타일에 의한 변화는 1980년대의 헤어스타일의 길이는 Long을 유지하다가 1990년으로 접어들면서 점차적으로 Midium Hair Style로, 2000년~2005년도 전기에는 Long Hair Style이 대부분이지만 Short Hair Style와 Midium Hair Style도 조금 늘어났다. 2006년~2009년 후기에는 Long Hair Style이 대부분이며 Midium Hair Style과 Short Hair Style이 확연하게 많이 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있다.
Up-Style은, 1980년대는 Twist와 Ponytail이 강세였다면 2000년대 이후에는 Formal한 Up-Style보다는 Natural과 Chignon, Ponytail의 비율이 점차 높아지는 것을 알 수 있다. 헤어컬러는 전체적으로 1980년~1990년도는 라이트 계열에서 다크 컬러계열까지 다양하게 사용되어지다가 2000년대를 접어들면서 미디움과 다크, 블랙계열까지 헤어컬러가 어두워지는 경향을 보이다 다시 밝아진다.
Hair Wave는 전체적으로 내츄럴함이 점점 높아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 2000년대 초에는 스트레이트 스타일이 많이 보여 지다가 2005년 이후에는 굵은 웨이브의 내츄럴한 스타일이 많아지고 헤어 텍스쳐는 1980년대에서 2000년대 초까지 거칠고 무거운 느낌이 주를 이루다가 2005년을 넘어서면서 내츄럴한 느낌의 매끈하고 가벼운 헤어스타일 나타난다.
Hair Fringe의 경우는 1980년~1990년도는 높이 세운 백 스타일이 유행되었으며 2000년대로 넘어갈수록 웰빙 트렌드와 동안 또는 젊어 보이는, 복고풍의 Natural Fringe와 Bang Style로 변화되는 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 연도별 헤어스타일의 요인별 비교로 살펴본 결과는 Parting은 Left Parting과 Center Parting으로 다양하게 변화되며 1980년의 헤어길이는 Long Hair를 유지, 1990년으로 접어들면서 점차적으로 Midium Hair Style 길이로 조금은 줄어들었다. 2000년~2005년도는 Long Hair Style이 대부분 이었으며 Short Hair Style와 Midium Hair Style이 조금 늘어났다. 2006년~2009년도는 Long Hair Style이, 업스타일의 경우 1980년은 꼬기 매듭 포니테일 형태, 2000년~2005년도에는 Parting Style 1980년~2005년도까지는 Center Parting 이 주를 이루다가 2006년~2009년도 후반기에 들어서는 여러 가지의 형태이다.
헤어컬러는 전체적으로 80년대는 Medium Color, 1990년은 Dark Color와 Medium Color 주를 이루고, 2000년~2005년도는 Dark Color와 Black Color이며 2006년~2009년도 후반기에 들어서는 Black Color이다. 헤어 웨이브는 전체적으로 Straight Style 이거의 대부분이다. 헤어 질감은 1980년~1990년도는 전반적으로 무거운 질감의 형태이고, 2000년~2009년대로 접어들면서 매끈하며, 헤어 프린지 흐름의 경우는 1980년은 Wave Fringe 스타일 1990년 자연스럽게 볼륨을 주는 Natural Fringe 형태와, 2000년대에는 Natural Fringe와 Bang Style로 변화되어 간다.
넷째, 연도별 뷰티헤어리더의 헤어스타일에 대한 연구 결과는 1980년의 연예인인 최진실과 김혜선, 채시라, 오현경, 유지인의 헤어스타일이 뷰티헤어리더로서 많은 활동을 보였으며, 1990년의 대표적인 헤어리더로 하희라, 전지현의 긴 생머리 헤어스타일, 이승연의 프린지 형태, 김희선 헤어컬러, 모델 김남주가 대표적인 연예인으로 나타났다. 2006년~2009년도의 대표 헤어리더는 송혜교 헤어스타일, 구혜선의 컬러, 김태희 웨이브, 성유리 질감형태, 박예진 프린지 스타일이 유행되었다.
본 연구의 제한점으로는 첫째, 자료수집에 있어서 1980년대와 1990년대는 다양한 다중매체가 발전된 2000년대의 자료에 비하여 부족하여 분석에 어려움이 있었다. 둘째, 헤어스타일의 변천에 있어 정확한 근거를 제시할 수 있는 선행연구가 거의

Abstract
연도별 헤어 트렌드는 1980년대에는 강한 웨이브와 무거운 질감의 스타일들이 유행하였고, 1990년대 초반 60년대와 70년대의 복고풍과 사이버 스타일이 나타나는 시기였다. 90년 중반에는 롱헤어가 유행 되어졌으며 기존 블런트 커트를 탈피하고 가위를 사용한 후 레져를 이용하여 흐트러진 커트가 유행되었다. 전체적으로 밝은 컬러가 유행되었으며, 2000년대는 하이 블리치(탈색된 머리)의 파스텔 컬러가 유행하였고 2000년 후반기엔 매직스트레이트의 등장으로 스트레이트가 유행 되었다 헤어컬러는 점차 밝은 컬러는 줄어들고 블랙 컬러가 유행되면서 손상된 헤어를 케어 하기 위한 클리닉 시장이 확대되어졌다. 연도별 헤어스타일 분석으로 80년에서 90년까지는 미디엄길이, 2000년대로 접어들면서 매우 긴 롱헤어, 후반기에 짧은 쇼트가 등장하였다. 80년과 90년은 포니테일이 강세였다면 2000년으로 접어들면서 네츄럴한 업스타일이 주를 이루었고, 80년대와 90년대는 라이트 컬러와 브릿지가 많이 나타났으며 2000년대는 올 블랙이 주를 이루었다. 헤어 텍스쳐는 80년와 90년대는 전체적으로 무거운 느낌이었다면 2000년대에는 매끄럽고 샤기(shaggy)한 스타일로 변화 되어졌다. 프린지의 경우는 업스타일의 프린지가 2000년으로 갈수록 자연스런 뱅 스타일로 변화되었다. 연도별 헤어리더의 비교로는 1980년부터 2000년까지 헤어스타일은 오현경의 챠밍 스타일, 유지인의 다크 컬러 스트레이트한 미디엄 헤어, 이나영의 라이트 브라운 컬러의 브릿지 헤어, 전지현의 롱헤어의 내츄럴 스타일, 김태희의 지적이고 여성스러운 블랙 컬러, 송혜교, 구혜선 등의 쇼트 헤어스타일과 블랙컬러가 유행되어졌다.
