Interstate Plastics’ line of UHMW pressure sensitive adhesive backed tapes offer excellent abrasion resistance, low coefficient of friction, high impact strength and high performance properties people have come to expect from UHMW. By providing this exceptional material with an adhesive backing, installation time and costs are significantly reduced. No need for bolts or fasteners, no need to countersink.
DuraSurf ETA also reduces scrap by 75%. When a standard 1/4″ thick sheet of UHMW is installed using the traditional mechanical fastening method, 3/16″ of the material is lost to the bolt head. This leaves only a 1/16″ usable wear surface. You can achieve the same result with a 1/16″ DuraSurf ETA tape product and eliminate 80% of the time and cost associated with traditional installation methods. Interstate Plastics offers a wide range of both rubber and acrylic based adhesive systems to meet virtually any application requirement.

DuraSurf ™ ETA Easy-To-Apply UHMW wear strips are available from Professional Plastics. and adhesive backed tapes. Each tape product offers the excellent abrasion resistance, low coefficient of friction, high impact strength and high performance people have come to expect from UHMW.
Employing an exclusive continuous compression process, Crown Plastics manufactures UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) film ranging in thickness from .020″-.125″ in continuous wear strip or sheet rather than the conventional molding and skiving processes used for .003″-.020″ film. The continuous compression process process is faster and far less labor intensive and produces a smoother, more consistent UHMW material for wear resistant coatings. This enables Crown Plastics to offer a high quality UHMW product at a lower cost in standard lengths regardless of thickness. Continuous processing also allows for special lengths with no scrap or waste for larger custom orders.
Processing and treating the UHMW so it can be bonded to a pressure sensitive, adhesive backing also eliminates the need to mechanically fasten and reduces waste. Bushings, bearings, doctor blades, guides, rails, shims, wear plates, liners, and wipers are just a few of the many uses for DuraSurf™ wear resistant coatings and continuous wear strip.
