DANI GC and AS Controls
The DANI control modules enable direct control of various DANI gas chromatographs or autosamplers over various communication lines. Direct control means the chromatographs or autosamplers can be completely controlled from the Clarity environment. Instrument method controlling the analysis conditions will be saved in the measured chromatograms.
The control modules are intended to control following gas chromatographs:
GC 1000
Master GC.

ALS 1000
Master AS
Master DHS (headspace sampler)
Master SHS (headspace sampler).
All above listed control modules do not have manuals in PDF. There exist only help file in .chm file format. The help file for the respective instrument can be provided upon request.
Note: In case of Master CG might be necessary to obtain dedicated code from DANI to allow communication between the GC and PC over communication line.
Dani instruments from Master family require specific firmware revisions in different Clarity versions. Before installation and configuration of these instruments in Clarity check related compatibility table.

Our DataSystem UniChrom can mostly control this instrument. The current driver supports instrument connection via RS-232 interface and via Ethernet TCP/IP network.

Driver is incomplete and works only in “read-only” mode. Method upload is unfinished and has to be performed from GC panel.
UniChrom specific

UniChrom differentiate two firmware versions which slightly different in protocol handling.
Dani driver will automatically detect GC and connect with it as user selected corresponding GC device in UniChrom. RS-232 connection is detected automatically when no ComName parameter is specified for instrument. To force RS-232 connection at specific port, simply and set ComName to desired com port (e.g. COM7).
TCP/IP connection requires that parameter ComName would be in form tcp:a.b.c.d[:ppp], where a.b.c.d is decimal representation of IP address assigned to chromatograph or the DNS hostname (e.g. tcp:192.168.0.251:10001) and ppp is tcp port number which GC listens (typically 10001 – built-in Lantronix server port).
