bls272 and 276 servo frequency
I have found the following info from a servo frequency chart for the 255 and 256:

BLS 255HV blue 200 Hz blue 1520 µs red flashing 165 Hz
BLS 256HV – – red 760 µs blue 560 Hz
This first frequency is for cyclic, the second is for the tail.
Can anyone confirm these numbers are the same for the 272 and 276?
Thanks in advance! So I’m getting ready to setup my electronics on my winter heli build, and I’ve looked through some servo frequency charts and haven’t been able to find the BLS272SV or BLS276SV that I am using. I’ve read that the 272 and 276 are the new 255 and 256, and had the exact same specs. From that I can only assume the frequency and center position pulse length are the same as well? I use these in all of my helis that run a full size tail servo (Synergy E7se, SAB Kraken, Synergy N7, Synergy N556, Synergy 516).
I really like the frequency and pulse. Center really well and can handle anything I throw at it.
Would use for every heli that runs a full size servo.
Tail servo list
As there are so many different tail servos on the market we have decided to provide a list of all information we have to set them up correctly in your VBar.
If your tail servo is not listed here please post the servo data in this forum thread. We will check from time to time and edit this list.
Important: Mind that there is a mandatory setting (center pulse) and an optional setting (frequency). If you have a servo not listet here, please research the specs and use the setting which comes closest, wide pulse (1,500 µsec) or narrow pulse (760 µsec) and the frequency next to the maximum your servo supports (but not higher). The pulse with must meet your servo’s spec, else the center position will be off and the servo may take damage.
Our tests have revealed that a higher frequency than 333 Hz does not lead to any noticeable advantages in flight, so we have limited the max. frequency to 333 Hz.
Of course we were not able to get our hands on every tail servo on the market for a check, and so this list has to be seen as a suggestion w/o any warranty only. Please check a new tail servo for direction, center, force and endpoints before starting a flight!
Futaba BLS276SV S.Bus2 HV Helicopter Tail Rotor Servo
The last tail servos I was using was 9256.
The newer high voltage and s bus programmable Servos from futaba are amazing! Installed these on Synergy n7, 696’s also to replace the plastic gear on these is the same 9253 gear set.

Ultra-fast and powerful high-voltage Brushless rear servo with metal gear and double ball bearing. High-voltage version of the proven BLS251 Servo, now also controllable with S.BUS. For rear rotor control only with rotors which can process 760 µs neutral position, such as GY601, GY611, GY520, GY701, CGY750. The central part of the housing is made of aluminium and serves to cool the BL motor.
Futaba Servos have enjoyed great popularity for years due to their high quality and many innovative solutions. The servo line includes servos for almost every application in model making. Many servos are designed without internal wiring. Futaba servo gearboxes are characterized by unsurpassed precision. In some servos, bell-shaped armature motors are used for powerful, fast and powerful servos. Digital servos with microprocessor technology offer higher holding power, shorter response times and 4 times the pulse rate compared to conventional servos. BLS/Brushless motor technology: no brush wear, 30% shorter reaction time, more resistant to vibration and shock, higher efficiency and higher resolution, same power consumption. S-BUS technology with following advantages: fewer cables, lower weight, lighter weight, easier cable routing, easy parallel connection of servos. S. BUS servos can also be operated at the normal PWM receiver output. HV servos can be operated directly with 2S Lithium batteries in the voltage range of 6… 7.4 volts. Due to the higher voltage, the power consumption is lower with the same servo power.
