Chevy 305 ci engine, block nr(I think) 14093627, that should make it 14093627…305…87-94…2(bolt)…Roller or flat tappet cam, one-piece rear seal One head is removed for inspection, but everything should be there, was bought as replacement engine for old engine, but never fitted. Any questions, then through ebay or text/call me at 07717563950. Located in GU240DL. Cash on collection or paypal. Can deliver for a fee if not too far. A little update. On side where the head is removed, there’s some rust in cylinder bores(looks like just surface rust to me), I took it to local american car specialist and asked him to have a quick look on bores, he said it should hone out and bores have no wear( or something like that). And he said it’s rollercam.? I’m quite sure there is some bolts and nuts missing but most should be complete. Oil pan has some small dents as well..

My junk 79z was origionally a 350 car and i knew someone along the way changed it to a 305 but i wanted to check the block casting number for the hell of it. The number i got was GM 5.0LG or maybe just 50LG. What does that mean? Was it a crate motor or something?

I just picked up an engine that is supposed to be from a 87 camaro and I was wondering if anyone could help me find out what it came out of. The casting numbers are as follows:
GM 5.0LG and SGI on the drivers side/left
14093627 on the right
The heads are cast with 14101081 and K187
Any help will be greatly appreciated as it will be going in my 88

For sale is a complete and running 307 GM 5.0 L (POM) small block motor. This motor comes with a GM Turbo Hydromatic 350 Transmission. The engine is on a test stand in my garage, so you can come here start the engine, see and hear it run. It is marked with (3161 GM 5.0 L G). I have bought car stuff from this gentleman before and they have always been as he described. Having said that I have not seen the Transmission run but I am confident it is in as good of shape as the Engine. The numbers from the Tranny are as follows, 10W 273122 For the engine I have replaced the oil pan (with a OEM used pan) because the drain plug housing was cracked, and I replaced the external mechanical fuel pump with a new one, replaced the oil and filter. It starts up immediately, idles, runs strong no smoke, or noises that should not be there. This motor was made for several years, it fits in several cars from 1979 Malibu Wagons to 1986 Cutlass Supremes, and It will also fit in many small block Chevrolet cars. It has the 5A cast iron heads, A4 intake and cast iron exhaust manifolds, the engine is known for its low end torque. I bought it from an estate sale Guy in San Diego where the Engine and Tranny were found in an older gentleman’s basement. . She idles at 40 PSI oil pressure. (I have an oil pressure guage on my home made engine stand). I am selling both the engine and tranny as a pair, I do not want to split them up. I can also deliver for 40.00 to the local San Diego area (to your driveway, or easy access garage), come on over start her up and see what you think. This is a local sale only, you must either pick up the engine and Transmission yourself or the buyer can arrange shipping. I live in San Diego ca.
