Lee Seung Gi’s apartment

Here are pictures of his apartment, Brownstone Legend. It was already 7pm by the time I arrived in his neighborhood so it was unfortunately dark. However, I was very happy and excited to see it in person and even looked for his van, but it was nowhere in sight. For fellow Japanese Airens: イ・スンギ アパート. こちらが、イ・スンギさんのお住まいのマンション、「ブラウンストーン・レジェンド」の写真です。

Notice how it says “Brownstone” in the neon green lights towards the bottom right hand corner.

This is the mini supermarket and businesses right next to the apartment. You can see the words “Brownstone” ミニスーパーマーケットです。

This is a close up of the entrance to his apartment where cars are parked. Behind the balcony through the glass windows is an upscale Japanese restaurant. これは玄関の写真で、上はベランダの後ろ側にある和食レストランです。

Here is another angle of his apartment. I know some fans would go in to at least check out the restaurants, but preserving my dignity was more important to me than being mistaken for a crazed (sasaeng) fan. I have to admit, it was VERY difficult to restrain myself. LOL.

This is the right side view of the mini mart and his apartment building.

One last view of his apartment. I had to pick the best pictures out of the 20+ I had on my cell phone. I have shared with you 7 of them as the rest are pretty much repeats or blurry pics due to my excitement – the Seung Gi effect.

Last but not least, I will close this post with another picture of the autograph Seung Gi left at his favorite Chinese restaurant. It says in Korean “Be happy always!” Lee Seung Gi.

Kyaaaaaahhhh!!! I was so happy to have been so near Seung Gi in the 6+ years I have lived in Korea. I am looking forward to seeing him at the Hope Concert this year! It certainly was a memorable evening for me. 🙂

Lee Seung Gi Shows Off His Remodeled House And Talks About His New Song As The “Master” On “Master In The House”

On the November 15 episode of SBS’s “Master in the House,” cast member Lee Seung Gi became the “master”!

The episode began with Lee Seung Gi revealing his remodeled house on TV for the first time. As he enjoyed his breakfast, he commented, “I feel awkward around the cameras here. I don’t know how they film ‘Home Alone’ (‘I Live Alone’).”

As the other members arrived at his house, they complimented his remodeled home and said, “The attention to detail and neatness are just like Seung Gi’s personality. He did a good job decorating.” They were particularly taken with his fireplace, media room, and organized dressing room.

Lee Seung Gi said, “I remodeled the house so that I could do things even when I was home. This is the first time since my debut that I’d invested so much in myself.”

Before the “master” was revealed, the members were asked who they would want to live as for a day. ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo said, “I’m curious about the seniors who walked similar paths to mine at the beginning of my debut. I want to know how they overcame their slumps. I think the closest person to me like that is Seung Gi.”

He added that he respected Lee Seung Gi’s constant energy from the beginning to the end of the shoot. But when it was revealed that Lee Seung Gi really was the master, the cast members tried to escape.

To live as Lee Seung Gi for a day, the members went to his regular CrossFit training session. Lee Seung Gi said, “It’s exercise that uses the whole body. If you show a tired expression, I think it looks unprofessional. I keep my energy up through constant exercise.”

From nonpowered running to full stamina training, Lee Seung Gi had a laser focus when it came to his exercise regimen. Even Kim Dong Hyun, who is a mixed martial arts athlete, had trouble keeping up with the full course.

Afterwards, Lee Seung Gi met with Yoon Jong Shin to talk about his new song, “The Ordinary Man.” This was Yoon Jong Shin’s first TV appearance in a while after the singer-songwriter took some time off from broadcasts and spent some time abroad to focus again on his music.

Yoon Jong Shin said, “I wanted to push myself and stay abroad for as long as possible, but due to COVID-19 and my mother becoming ill, I returned to Korea in July. For 20 years, I’d been on TV without rest. I would see my face and voice on TV every week. I was grateful, but also a little tired. I wanted to disappear from people’s sights. It wasn’t quite like panic disorder, but I had burnout.”

He also talked a little about feelings of discrimination that he had experienced while in the United States. “Because of the lockdowns, I had to stay on the road for five days,” he said. “It was the first time that people had stared at me with such strange looks. I was used to being looked at, but COVID-19 made me into something else. At a time when people weren’t very friendly toward Asian people, I went into a rural gas station and got cold-shouldered. It was the first time in a while that I’d felt such sadness, but I think that it was good to experience that feeling.”

Lee Seung Gi shared why he had decided to return as a singer for the first time in years. He said, “I like it all: acting, music, variety. I thought about it for two years before making my decision. I had confidence in myself, but I mostly decided it because I wanted to stay busy instead of becoming careless.”

He had asked Yoon Jong Shin to write him a song. “I wanted to sing a song with a story behind it,” he explained.

8N10D SeungGi Tour

Dec 7 – Dec 16, 2011

I started writing this on my way back from Seoul, but got totally distracted by my computer disaster. Now that more than 3 weeks have passed, I can’t even remember the details anymore, all thanks to my aging brain. 😛 But I’ll try my best to share as much as I can remember.

Time really flies when you’re having fun. I can’t believe that I’m already home, and back to reality. 😛 I have to say that it had been the most incredible, surreal fangirl experience I could have only dreamed about. But it became reality all thanks to an angel unni, and for that, I’ll be eternally grateful to her. 😛 I’m afraid that I also need to apologize to SeungGi. No one likes sasaeng fans, and I really didn’t mean to turn into one. But some things just couldn’t be helped. 😛

Anyway, since a lot of things happened during this SeungGi tour, I’ll probably break down my fan account into several smaller, more manageable parts. I’m not sure how long it’ll take me to write up the whole trip, but I’ll do my best.

This was actually my 3rd trip to Seoul in a little over 1 year, ALL because of SeungGi. [I still haven’t had a chance to write about my 2nd trip yet, but it is on my long list of things to do. :P] So you can see what a crazy fan girl I really am. 😛 Especially since I even threatened to quit my job this time in order to get some time off work. Because of the nasty and drawn-out fight with my b*tch boss, my vacation plan wasn’t finalized until the very last minute (even though I had already bought the concert tickets). Fortunately, iGo, my partner in crime on this trip, had made all the plans with the angel unni. All I needed to do was to tag along. 😛 The bad thing about this is that I won’t be able to retrace our steps very easily if I ever wanted to take this SeungGi tour again.

Anyway, things went a little crazy right before my trip (all thanks to my b*tch boss). It’s a long story that I won’t bore you with, but I could have easily missed my flight! Fortunately, I made it just in time. But I was starting to worry about how the rest of the trip was going to be. Our long and bumpy flight from San Francisco to Seoul didn’t help either. I was suffering from really bad motion sickness, but I tried to sleep it off. After what felt like an eternity, we finally landed in Seoul. When we left SFO, it was Wednesday morning; and when we arrived in Seoul, it was already Thursday night. Two days flew by just like that. 😛

Unni actually came all the way to the airport to pick us up, and she even brought us warm jackets just in case we couldn’t handle the freezing cold weather. Before we left the airport, we stopped by a phone rental place. The last 2 times I went to Korea, I rented an iphone to stay connected. This time, since there were 2 of us, we decided to try the WIFI egg, which sounded like a great deal at the time. It provides unlimited data usage on up to 3 devices, so we could keep using our own iphones. But there are a few drawbacks. The battery in the egg only lasts for about 4 hours, so if you’re outside all day, say waiting around for a concert, and need internet access constantly, you’ll be left stranded after those 4 hours. And if you travel to the smaller cities, the connection is only spotty at best. Anyway, it’s just something to keep in mind for your future reference. 😛

As we were driving to unni’s house, we happened to pass by the area where Hook’s office is, so we decided to make it our first stop. Well, we didn’t actually stop there; we just drove by slowly and admired the building. hehe But we did see SeungGi’s van parked in the front, so maybe he was inside the office? Since it was Thursday, we had assumed that he was recording Strong Heart and even thought about going to SBS to watch the recording if our flight had arrived earlier. But seeing SeungGi’s van there, we were relieved to know that we didn’t miss a recording. 😛 After our ‘tour’ of the Hook building, unni also showed us where the SM and JYP buildings were (since SeungGi used to practice until the lights went out in those buildings ). They are all within walking distance of each other. But I was too sick to pay attention (I was finally succumbing to the motion sickness), so our tour was brought to an abrupt end, and we headed straight to unni’s house.

Being the angel she is, unni had invited us to stay at her house for our entire trip. And omg, the daebak location you would never guess! It was practically next door to SeungGi’s apartment building! This is why I felt like I was turned into a sasaeng fan. 😛 Every time we went anywhere, we could see SeungGi’s apartment building. And if we were lucky enough (even though we weren’t THAT lucky), we could probably even see SeungGi’s van passing by from our window. 😆 Oh, just to clarify. Unni was already living there when SeungGi moved into his current apartment and became her neighbor. 😛

When we got to unni’s house, it was probably 9 or 10 pm already. Her angel family was actually still waiting for us to have dinner. Unni then went to the trouble of preparing a banquet for us! (There was actually more food coming after this picture was taken.)

After the delicious dinner, we still went out for late-night snacks. Now, where could we possibly go? 😛

There are actually a lot of restaurants in that building, and SeungGi had been to many of them already. How do we know? Well, people talk and SeungGi leaves behind evidence sometimes. 😆 We went to one of the more popular places (I don’t remember its name though), and the first thing we saw as we walked in was SeungGi’s autograph! The food there was delicious (I forgot to take pictures until we were almost done :P). And when we went to pay our bill, we also chatted with the staff there. He told us that SeungGi didn’t go there very often; it’s usually the manager who goes to get take-outs.

I think it was almost 2 o’clock in the morning when we left. We didn’t know on which floor SeungGi’s apartment was, so we were trying to guess if he was home already and if he was, which room with the lights on could be his. 😆 Like I said, we were like stalkers!

After our super-short walk home, we found out that SeungGi had just left a message on the official homepage! And he said that he had just come back home. When we read that, we were like all screaming! OMG, can you believe it?! That means we were in the same building when he wrote that message! What a cool coincidence! And what a nice start to our SeungGi tour! I got a feeling that the rest of our trip was also going to be daebak!

Lee Seung Gi as an Actor, Singer, Host, and a Friend

With his fully-booked work schedule, Lee Seung Gi deserves to spend his money on things he deserves, the fruits of his hard work. And speaking of his work, the 34-year-old actor is currently busy filming his ongoing series “Mouse.”

The drama has been receiving positive feedback from the viewers.

Before the show proceeded to its second part, tvN released a special episode of the drama to discuss the changes and other possibilities that may occur in the middle of the drama.

Lee Seung Gi is also loved for his humor and natural charms, evident in his variety show “Master in the House.” His comedic vibe blends well with his co-members Yang Se Hyung, Shin Sung Rok, Kim Dong Hyun, and ASTRO’s main visual, Cha Eun Woo.

The viewers genuinely enjoy their brotherhood. Even though they have their solo schedules, they now have a solid foundation to make the program more interactive and appealing.

Lee Seung Gi is indeed a talented guy, no wonder why his beloved Airens can’t stop supporting his every endeavor. While he excels in acting, the Korean star is also blessed to have such a beautiful and calming voice. His proof is his album “The Project.”

Recently, he had a collaboration project with his real-life friend Lee Min Ho. The collab was their way of showing love to their fans.

Will there be a possibility that they work together in a drama or film together? We hope so!
